“Absolutely wonderful. Very flexible and did amazing with my senior doggo. My dog is very weary of new people but she Absolutely loved her. My cat who is afraid of literally EVERYONE warmed up to her as well. I was so nervous about leaving my babies and she did amazing with setting me at ease. Would 1000000% recommend especially with senior pets!.”

“Katie has cared for my three cats several times, and I have never been more comfortable with someone caring for them while I'm away. She sends great photos, cleans up what needs cleaned, and plays with them really well. I have a couple cats that are pretty anxious, and they have really warmed up to her. I can't think of a better compliment than that”

“Liza first visit with Tater Tot was amazing! Her pictures and updates were great and left me feeling really good that my baby was in such great hands!!! I’m sure Tater Tot is going to look forward to spending more time with Liza!”

“Hahahaa your review made me laugh. Chino is my sweet baby boy. He’s not really a baby anymore, more like a mischievous teenager haha! I’m happy you caught him! Thank you for that! And thank you soooo much for helping with Daisy on such short notice. I’m sure you made her night.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities since I was young. I grew up with dogs in my home and currently have two dogs of my own, so I know how much our pets mean to us and how important it is to find someone you can trust with them. I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I truly love all fur babies and would be so excited to care for yours! 🐾❤️ I am currently a part time student at Anne Arundel community college. I also have a part time job. My weekends are available. Weekdays I have a lot of free time during the day between classes before I head to work at 2:30-5:30 (usual hours). Safety is my top priority when caring for your pets. I will always make sure they are supervised, secure, and comfortable, whether we are out on a walk, during a drop-in visit, or staying overnight. I follow each pet’s routine and any instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, and anything else that helps them feel at home.
“Jessica did a great job checking in on our puppies while we are out of town. She was able to assist us with last minute request! Our pets love her and she provides timely updates and pictures on how they are doing. Jessica has become our go to provider for pet sitting and check ins.”

“Courtney was absolutely amazing. She sent plenty of photos along with thoughtful, detailed updates, and my cat clearly adored her. I’m so grateful for her — especially for being so flexible on such short notice. I would book her again in a heartbeat, 1000%!”

“Ellie was absolutely amazing! She took marvelous care of our cats and provided detailed notes as to how the cats were doing during each visit. The pictures she provided were adorable. We would gladly re-book her and recommend her for pet sitting.”

“Marley was absolutely fantastic with our 5-month-old puppy, Goose! He’s definitely a handful, but everything went incredibly smoothly. Her quick and consistent communication before, during, and after her visit gave me complete confidence that he was in great hands. I also loved the pictures she shared and appreciated the updates throughout her time with him. I would happily have Marley watch Goose again and highly recommend her!”

“Had a great, worry-free trip knowing the cats were in such wonderful care with Andrew! He is extremely communicative, prompt, and followed all directions to a "t". Definitely looking forward to using his services again!”

“This was our first time using Rover and Jamie took really good care of our cat. She sent us pictures and updates on every visit. Our cat looked more and more comfortable around her every day. 10/10 recommended.”

“Candice is AMAZING!!! She has a genuine love and heart for fur babies. Jace & Candice instantly connected during their 1st meet and greet 💙 She was very interested in understanding everything about Jace from his habits, the food and treats he likes most even his favorite toys! Such a comfort to know that our boy Jace would be in the care of such a loving sitter. Candice shared updates and photos while we were away and made sure that Jace was happy. Thank you sooooo much Candice, we cannot wait to have you care for Jace again. Welcome to the family 😊”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Highland Beach
Leigh was very attentive with Karen! She played with her, spent time with her, wrote thorough reports on their time together, and was overall very communicative. She even left Karen a toy (which she loves, thank you!!!) Leigh went above and beyond and I would absolutely book her again.

Elizabeth was great with our two cats! We had specific instructions about keeping them separate and mixing medicine into food, & she kindly agreed to a meet & greet to make sure she received the details & met our girls. We felt good about leaving them in her hands, & everything was the way we left it when we returned. Thanks Elizabeth!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Highland Beach. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
