“Judith did an excellent job taking care of my senior disabled dog. She asked questions when she was unsure about something and kept me updated about how he was doing. I've come back to a happy dog and would definitely have her sit for me in the future.”

“Samantha was great, as usual. Great communication and feedback, plus my dogs thoroughly enjoyed her visits. It's always such a great comfort knowing that your pets will be well taken care of while you are away.”

About: Always been a pet lover. My Specialty is senior care. I also foster dogs temporarily under a rescue program. Usually only 1 at a time. Available most weeks. I am usually home daily. Not working outside the home. When performing pet care, not far from home when running errands. Constantly checking on my dogs. I have a fenced yard. 1 fury chihuahua that usually keeps to herself, after a enthusiastic greeting. Have free rein in the house and yard.

About: I’ve had pets since I was a toddler, and I currently own two senior dogs and a cat. I’ve volunteered at pet shelters while in college, and am ready to share the love! I’m currently a part time student, and have plenty of free time. I’m available after 3PM on the weekdays, and completely free on the weekends. I have two dogs and usually let them free roam around the house during the day and crate them at night. However, each pet owner has their own routine that I am more than willing to follow.
“A very consistent and professional sitter. Made sure to follow all instructions to the T and also communicated very well. 10/10 would chose again if I ever need a sitter.”

About: I have hands-on experience working with animals through my Certified Veterinary Assistant internship at an urgent care vet clinic, where I assisted with handling, feeding, cleaning, and monitoring pets. I’m comfortable caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments, including senior pets and those needing extra attention. I prioritize safety, patience, and clear communication with owners to make sure every pet feels comfortable and loved while you’re away. I’m a full-time student and available for pet care on weekends. I’m dedicated to providing dependable, attentive care and making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable while you’re away. With my veterinary assistant experience, I prioritize safety, proper handling, and close monitoring of behavior. I follow each pet’s routine carefully, including feeding instructions and any special care needs. I maintain a calm, clean environment and always communicate updates so owners feel confident their pets are in safe hands.
About: Hi, my name is Samantha and I have experience working with dogs at shelters and as a professional pet sitter back in NYC. I've handled dogs of various sizes and temperaments. I raised and trained my 80lb dog, Han Solo; since he was a 4 month puppy. I love all dogs and I will treat your dog with the same love and care as I do for my own! I recently moved and am unemployed, so I will be able to provide your dog with all the attention, play, and bathroom breaks they need/want. Pets will always be monitored when they are outside. There will always be air conditioner and pets have free range of the house so that they can be as comfortable as they can.

From the tiniest of newborns to the wisest of seniors, whether covered in fur or not, each one is cherished in my eyes. I find joy in nurturing young pups and providing comfort to elder companions. “This was a very good visit. Kiara and I got to meet Katherine, and we loved her energy and cheerful spirit. She has a great deal of knowledge on dogs and their behavior, as well as first aid and special cares they might need. We’ll definitely be booking more days with her.”

About: I have had multiple pets since I was about 10 years old! I used to train and ride ponies and horses, but now I just focus on my dog, Miel. I took her in as a puppy and trained her during COVID. I have also previously taken care of weeks old puppies that required to be bottle fed multiple times a day and throughout the night. I am currently working full time and volunteering at a clinic after work (M/T/TH). I am available after work on Wednesdays, Fridays, and the weekends. I am also available during lunch (flexible hours) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. I am also available for holidays! To ensure safety I approach pets slowly and give them a chance to come up to me first. I am also aware that some pets can have food restrictions so I would ask before providing or exposing them to any treats, toys, other personal items.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
