About: I have always loved dogs since I was a kid. I love meeting new dogs all the time. My cocker spaniel, Milo is very playful and energetic and loves meeting new dogs. My Schnauzer, Bruno tends to get a bit overly excited when first meeting new dogs, he is 5 years old but once the excitement fades is very calm. If your dog is not used to being around other dogs, Bruno will be fine- he keeps to himself if the other dog does not want to engage in playing/interacting. I walk my dogs daily. When it is hot outside I fill up their swimming pool so they can play. We play fetch and Milo loves chasing his laser pointer. Whether it is in my home or a client’s, I feed the dogs, take them out, walk them and play fetch. No matter where your dog is they will be cared for.
“Anyssa was a great help during my trip. She kept me updated with pictures and text messages mornings and evenings which gave me peace of mind, specially because one o them was under medication. Thank you!”

About: Every creature, regardless of age or appearance, holds a special place in my heart. From the tiniest of newborns to the wisest of seniors, whether covered in fur or not, each one is cherished in my eyes. I find joy in nurturing young pups and providing comfort to elder companions. Every animal deserves nothing less than the utmost care and compassion My work-from-home Fridays and I have weekends off provide the perfect opportunity to offer dedicated care for your pets. Even with a full-time schedule, I ensure your furry companions receive the attention, exercise, and love they deserve, creating a seamless balance between work and pet care I have a fenced yard and other friendly pets so you're furry friend will never be lonely. Although I have a fence, I do not leave my dogs unattended outside.
About: As a registered nurse, providing compassionate, attentive care comes naturally to me. I’m dependable, detail oriented, and comfortable following medication schedules, feeding instructions, and any special care your pet may need. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply keeping your pet company, I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own family. I know how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone else, so I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages, giving you peace of mind while you’re away. I’m currently available with a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide reliable and attentive care throughout the week. Because I have a flexible routine, I can give your pet the time, attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve rather than rushing through visits. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, habits, and any special instructions so I can care for them just as you would. I’m happy to follow feeding schedules, administer oral medications if needed, and provide plenty of exercise, playtime, affection, and potty breaks. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages throughout each visit, so you’ll always know how your furry family member is doing.

About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs since I was little. I have raised and fostered puppies and kittens, and know how to administer basic aid. My home is pet friendly and safe for all fur-babies. I am very flexible with boarding times and setting up a meet and greet if needed. I am looking forward to meeting your fur babies! I have a fenced yard, a friendly chihuahua, and 3 cats who love to play with other animals. We have lots of toys, a cat tree, treats, and free feeding- unless you require specific meal times and special diets.
“Samantha did amazing with all our pets! It was our first time leaving them with someone that wasn't family, and we were worried due to them being chihuahuas and highly anxious but they warmed up to her quickly. She helped put me at ease that everything would be ok while I was gone by meeting up with me and the pets before leaving town. She even left them some stuffed animals 🥹 Highly recommend her!”

“Amanda did an amazing job with taking care of my fur babies. She was so kind and attentive while she was with them, she gave us updates and photos to let us know they were okay.”

About: I’ve had pets since I was a toddler, and I currently own two senior dogs and a cat. I’ve volunteered at pet shelters while in college, and am ready to share the love! I’m currently a part time student, and have plenty of free time. I’m available after 3PM on the weekdays, and completely free on the weekends. I have two dogs and usually let them free roam around the house during the day and crate them at night. However, each pet owner has their own routine that I am more than willing to follow.

Emma was great with my Buddy, calm and quiet but determined to make a friend. I could tell from the pictures that he was enjoying her visits. Emma was so easy to work for me as well and I never had a reason to stress over whether he was getting the attention he always wants.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in San Juan. On Rover:
- 80% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
