Her reports and pictures were wonderful and we looked forward to them every day while we were out of the country. She was flexible and communicated regularly and well with another person helping to care for the house and kitties. About: I've worked with pets my whole life, and have worked with dogs professionally for over a year. I bring a depth of knowledge and a willingness to learn that help me adapt to the needs of every animal. I work full time, but primarily have weekends and weekdays evenings and nights available. So if you are looking to take a weekend getaway, or need someone to come check on the pets in the evenings, I'll be happy to work you into my schedule. I make sure pets are fed and cared for to their owners specifications. Medical needs are seen to as a priority, and hygiene, bathroom, and attention needs are always a focus when I am caring for pets.

About: I have been around dogs and cats since I was a little girl. I started house sitting when I was 16 years old. I have experience with chickens, pigs, goats, alpacas, some reptiles. About: Pet Care Experience — From Horses to Cats to Dogs My life with animals began long before it became a profession. At 14 years old, I started caring for horses — feeding, grooming, riding, exercising, and treating them as family. Horses taught me early lessons in patience, responsibility, and the importance of daily, consistent care. They also showed me how powerful the bond can be when animals are treated with respect and love. By 16, that passion grew into the dog world when I had the opportunity to be mentored by a close friend who was a Police K9 handler. That mentorship changed my life and set me on a path that would define my career. I began training at a K9 school in my hometown in New Hampshire, where I learned the foundations of K9 behavior, obedience, care, and handling of working dogs. I poured everything I had into learning the craft. After a year of dedicated internship and training, I taught my first class at just 17 years old. From that moment, I knew this was more than a job — it was a calling. Over the years, my experience grew into becoming a Police K9 handler in New Hampshire, followed by serving as a trainer and instructor for the NH Police K9 Academy through the Working Dog Foundation. I worked daily with high-drive working dogs and their handlers, focusing on discipline, safety, trust, and performance in real-world environments. After completing my full-time police career, I continued my K9 journey overseas, spending eight years in the Middle East providing private K9 handling and instruction in support of Army operations and Private Security detachments. Working in demanding and high-stress conditions further refined my skills and reinforced the importance of calm leadership, consistency, and deep respect for the dogs that depend on us. At the same time, I never stopped helping everyday families with their pets. Training and caring for family dogs — from energetic puppies to older companions — has always been just as important to me as working with professional K9 teams. I believe every dog deserves structure, patience, and loving guidance so they can thrive as well-behaved members of the family. Alongside my deep dog experience, my connection to cats comes from being a devoted cat owner. My wife and I shared our home with two amazing cats for about eight years, caring for them daily and loving them as part of our family. About: Tending and caring for animals has always brought me great joy. As a child I developed a deep connection with animals growing up with many dogs, cats and rabbits in our home. I started dog sitting partime in 2017 which grew to cats, chickens, bunnies and house sitting. The care of your animal "s" is my top priority. With younger pups I enjoying working to teach basic commands and rewarding them with treats, physical touch, words of affirmation or continued play. I'm available for 30/60min. drop ins, walks/jogs, hikes, swims, car rides, day time companionship or over nights while you're away. In addition I have experience with special needs pets that require specific medications, bathing and or brushing. My life style is flexible and my availability fluctuates as I travel seasonally. While home in Alaska or traveling I'm able to devote my time and offer my services. I have the availability to offer walks and drop ins while I travel. Any over nights will be considered and would take place at your home after a meet and greet. I will honor your desired care for your pet. **If I sense any animal cruelty it will be reported **

About: As a kid, I cared for cats and big dogs like Mastiffs and Great Danes. I currently have 2 cats, Jean-Luc and Toph, and a strong desire to bring dogs home as soon as I can again. Growing up, I pet-sat for countless friends, friends of friends, and even farm-sat for a family with chickens, bunnies, dogs, and 20-something barn cats. Throughout the years, I developed a compassion and love for all animals, leading me to go on and become an animal scientist through studies at The Ohio State University and specialize in animal welfare. A series of events has taken me out of working in my old field, but I still need my fix on playing with all the furry (and shelled and scaled) friends! I do currently work full-time but I get out of work every day by 5:30, so caring for your pets will take place after. As I do have my own cats to come home to, I prefer not to stay past 9. I myself have a cat who needs to take a regular inhaler medication, previously pill, so if one of your fur babies needs meds, I'm your gal.

“MacKenzie was great!! My 7 month old kitten was newly neutered requiring g some extra tlc and MacKenzie rose to the occasion! My little guy is a handful but that was not an issue for her. She sent tons of pictures of him during his stay and...WHO KNEW!? My little Atteso apparently loves dogs!! Many videos and pictures of their escapades and also naps snuggled with them and her sons. She will take care of your pet like they are part of the family! I am moving out of state but would highly recommend MacKenzie especially if you are a first time nervous pet parent like me!!”
