“Elle was great with both out dogs and cats! She communicated any concern and updates throughout the whole stay. I felt very safe leaving my babies in her care. We will definitely be hiring her again!”

“Michael really goes above and beyond what is required. He’s more than just a dog sitter, he really has a passion towards my dog that I wasn’t expecting. Very thankful I found someone who embraces and enjoys a German Shepherd.”

“Heather was absolutely amazing! She came over for a meet-and-greet beforehand to make sure it was a good fit, which we really appreciated. During the visits, she was always punctual, attentive, and paid close attention to every detail, especially when it came to feeding and caring for Skye. It gave us real peace of mind knowing our dog was in such good hands. We will absolutely be booking Heather again and highly recommend her!”

About: Animals have always been a meaningful part of my life, not just a job or responsibility. What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my genuine connection with animals and my ability to understand their individual needs and personalities. I take the time to build trust, especially with pets who may be shy or anxious, and I care for every animal as if they were my own. I am attentive, patient, and reliable, and I understand how important it is for owners to feel confident and at ease while they’re away. My goal is to provide consistent, compassionate care that keeps pets happy and owners reassured. I am a senior in college with a lot of free time, I love to be around and care for animals so this is a good fit for me. When caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water at all times, receive plenty of attention and playtime, and get the rest they need. I pay close attention to their behavior and well-being, and I’m comfortable following specific instructions, including medication or special care needs. I also keep the home clean and secure, and I communicate regularly with owners to provide updates and peace of mind.
“Lana was a reliable pet sitter for our cat who requires twice a day visits. She was there each time when she was supposed to and made sure our cat had fresh food, water, and a clean litter box.”

“Carla is great! She has done two drop-in visits for us and she is amazing with our dog Mac! She responds quickly to messages and she is very accommodating. She sends us pictures and updates from her visit with Mac and he seems to really enjoy his time with her. She has even worked on some commands with him and seems to genuinely care. We couldn't be more pleased with Carla and hope she can continue helping us out.”

“Sarah was amazing. Got it all done handling our pride of kitties. So happy had someone to trust to take good care of them. Thanks Sarah will be using her for future care”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs basically my whole life. I worked in a vet clinic in Forney and worked in the doggy daycare at North Forney. I’ve cared for hyper puppies and old little ladies/gents. I’ve seen aggressive, scared, or super needy animals. I have the patience to care for any personality, and I have been trained to restrain aggressive animals as well. I honestly love animals and i’m looking to have fun with any type of pet that’s out there! I’ll be home and free for most of the summer as I am not doing online college until the fall. I will be a substitute teacher at Lewis Elementary in Forney coming the fall as well. I’m looking to have fun with all kinds of animals, friendly or not! I am very passionate and willing to work with any animal. I adjust myself depending on the animals personality. I know pets are like people, all unique in their own way. I know how to give medication, prevent dog fights, restrain both cats and dogs. As well as give simple shots. I’ve worked in a vet clinic for a few months about a year or two ago. I can say i’ve seen many kinds of animals, aggressive or not, and i’m willing to take care of any animal and their needs. I have my own car so if an emergency happened, I am able to take care of it straight away. I have always had a love and passion for animals, and I hope your furbabies trust me too!
About: What sets us apart from other pet sitters is our extensive experience and genuine passion for animal care. With several years of hands-on experience, we have had the privilege of delivering newborn puppies and providing specialized care to pets with disabilities. Our approach to pet sitting is not just about ensuring that your pets are safe; it’s about providing them with love and tailored care that suits their individual needs. Our loving family includes our own English Bulldog, who are incredibly social and enjoy playing with other dogs. We make frequent trips to the dog park, which helps our Bulldogs stay well-socialized and happy. Our pets are up-to-date with their flea, tick, and heartworm treatments, and they thrive on regular exercise. We believe that playtime is just as important indoors as it is outside, so your pets will enjoy a mix of both during their stay with us. We would be thrilled to meet you and your family, and we look forward to the opportunity to provide your pets with the same high level of care and affection that we offer our own. Feel free to reach out to arrange a visit or ask any questions. We can’t wait to welcome you and your furry friends into our home! Pet care is an integral part of our daily and weekly routine, woven seamlessly into our lives. Here’s a glimpse into how it fits into our schedule: **Daily Routine:** - **Morning:** Each day begins with early morning walks for our English Bulldogs, ensuring they start the day with exercise and a chance to socialize. After the walk, we provide breakfast and any necessary medications or treatments. - **Midday:** Throughout the day, we monitor and engage with the pets, offering playtime, training exercises, and regular check-ins to ensure their comfort and well-being. - **Evening:** In the evening, we take another walk or visit to the dog park, followed by dinner and winding down with some indoor play or relaxation time. This ensures they get plenty of exercise and attention, both physically and mentally. **Weekly Routine:** - **Health and Maintenance:** We stay on top of regular health maintenance, such as flea, tick, and heartworm treatments. We also schedule any necessary grooming or veterinary appointments. - **Socialization:** We make frequent trips to the dog park and arrange playdates with other dogs to ensure our pets remain well-socialized and happy. - **Training and Enrichment:** We incorporate training sessions and enrichment activities throughout the week to keep our pets mentally stimulated and to reinforce good behavior. By integrating these routines, we ensure that our pets receive consistent care and attention, creating a balanced and fulfilling environment for them. This same level of dedication and routine is applied to the pets in our care, so you can be confident that they’ll be treated with the same love and attention. The approach to pet care varies depending on whether we’re offering boarding, overnight stays, walking, or drop-in services. Here’s how we handle each scenario: ### **1. Boarding:** When pets stay with us for boarding, we create a home-away-from-home environment tailored to their needs: - **Comfortable Space:** Pets enjoy a cozy, dedicated space in our home, complete with their own bedding and toys to make them feel comfortable and secure. - **Daily Routine:** We follow a structured routine that mirrors their home life as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, and playtime. - **Socialization:** Our English Bulldogs and other pets are great companions, and we facilitate supervised interactions to ensure a smooth integration. - **Health Monitoring:** We keep a close eye on their health, administering any medications as needed and ensuring they receive regular check-ups and care. ### **2. Overnight Stays:** For overnight stays in a client’s home, our focus is on maintaining their routine and providing peace of mind: - **Home Comfort:** We respect their home environment, ensuring everything is left as we found it and that their usual comforts are maintained. - **Routine Maintenance:** We follow their established routine for feeding, walks, and playtime, keeping everything consistent to minimize stress. - **Security and Safety:** We ensure the home is secure and follow any specific instructions given by the pet owner to ensure their pet’s safety and comfort. ### **3. Walking:** Dog walking services are designed to give pets exercise and mental stimulation: - **Scheduled Walks:** We adhere to the agreed schedule, providing regular walks that meet the pet’s exercise needs and preferences. - **Route Variety:** To keep walks interesting, we vary the routes and incorporate different sights and smells, making each outing enjoyable. - **Leash Manners:** We reinforce good leash manners and ensure a safe, enjoyable walk, taking care to avoid any potential hazards. ### **4. Drop-Ins:** Drop-in services involve visiting pets to provide care while owners are away: - **Feeding and Watering:** We provide fresh food and water, following the pet’s regular feeding schedule. - **Exercise and Play:** We engage in playtime and provide some exercise, based on the pet’s preferences and needs. - **Health Check:** During each visit, we check for any signs of health issues and ensure the pet is comfortable and happy. - **Update Reports:** We keep pet owners updated with reports or photos, so they can feel connected and reassured. In all scenarios, the goal is to offer a consistent, caring experience that aligns with the pet’s routine and needs, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while they are in our hands.
About: Ever since I can remember, I’ve cared for pets. Whether caring for my own or pet-sitting for others, my life has been surrounded with furry friends! I work part time, and my summer schedule is especially flexible as my main job follows the school year cycle. I am home a lot during the summer and have the ability to stay home if necessary as I know some pets need constant attention and oversight. I have a fenced yard and a 4 year old lab mix who LOVES to play! She will definitely help keep your pup entertained for hours. I have never had any issues with her being aggressive; she truly thinks everyone is her friend. I also have a German Shepherd! She’s sweet, but does tend to be a bit territorial. She likes to appear aggressive, but has actually done very well with other dogs! I have never experienced her causing an actual dog fight.
“Stephen did an awesome job sitting for us! Our dogs managed to get out of their run, but he saved the day by fixing the broken boards. He went above and beyond to help us. Our dogs were so happy and well taken care of. I highly recommend him, he is great with dogs!”

“Aleona followed my instructions perfectly while caring for my cat. She shared lots of photos and took him out on the balcony even in cold weather, as I requested. I highly recommend her!”

About: I have spent my entire life surrounded by fur babies! I have always taken great pride in my ability to sense my pets needs and accommodate them. I have a variety of experiences with different animal types. I am very good with accommodating senior animals. I also have the energy and drive to keep up with younger animals! I am available most afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I have a very flexible work schedule and can accommodate almost any request! No job is too big or small! I have my 2 cats and 2 dogs in my home, both younger and older in age. They all have great personalities to ensure your fur babies have a buddy to make them feel welcomed and comfortable. In any drop in/ overnight visit, I will strive to make your fur babies comfortable with me as a guest in their home.
“Anran was great for my two kitties. Very reliable, punctual, and responsible. Went out of her way to clean things in my apartment and go get supplies from the store without me asking. Would 100% hire her again and would recommend her to friends. Thanks, Anran!”

About: I have 6 years of dog watching experiences (besides watching my own two dogs, a chocolate lab and a mixed mutt). I can manage medications for a pups needs, walks, clean ups, play time, and baths if need be while you are away. I have spent time in dog shelters, being a sitter, and owning my own two dogs. I am currently working part-time as a hostess at nights and am available throughout the day and can even make stops after my shifts. The pups needs are my priority, I will fit their needs into my schedule! I have experience watching dogs in my own home and at the owners homes. I also have two turtles and two birds so taking care of animals has become second nature. However, now with having two dogs it would be too much to offer service in my own home however I will take time to spend an hour in your home giving your pup the proper attention they need while you are away.
“Shana is amazing with Louie. She has been a lifesaver as I’m not able to get home to snuggle Louie over lunch! Thank you so much for everything you do! I will be booking every week :)”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
