Dogs are a Mirror to Our Souls
Animals have always been an important part of my life. My father had a special connection with dogs and taught me as a boy. I believe that dogs have a unique way of showing us ourselves because they honestly reflect the energy around them. I've been doing Rover since the start of the year. I have had lots of success and this is my full-time job. I've made many friends through this app - both 2 and 4 legged! I am typically booked on the weekends for overnight stays and I have several regulars that I see everyday around lunchtime during the week. For these dogs, I pick up the yard, run the vacuum for dogs that shed, exercise, teach and groom. Each dog has unique needs and I tailor my services based on that. This helps my clients with the more tedious tasks and allows them enjoy their time with their dogs more when they get home. Exercise and walks are the first step to a well-behaved, happy and polite dog. If your dog is an athlete, we can run. I spent time volunteering at a no-kill shelter where my job was to take energetic running. This was good for them physically and psychologically and it also helped identify dogs who were natural running companions. If I am booked with your dog, I don't mind helping with grooming. I can touch up paws, bathe, de-shed and brush when they need it. Proper and routine nail care is crucial and I'm happy to help. I can also show you how prepare vet-approved, human-grade food. My dog Roxi is an older Border Collie/Aussie. She is a trained service dog, very intelligent and obedient. If your dog wants to socialize or needs a good-behavior role model, I am happy to introduce them and we can walk together. I learned a variety of effective positive-reinforcement techniques from a K-9 service dog trainer while getting my trained. I am happy to show you and your dog. I love cats too! If your cat isn't too shy, we will be pals for sure. I have taken care of rabbits, mice, birds and fish as well. I have a few years of professional gardening experience, so caring for your plants while house sitting is easy for me. If you are outside my normal radius of 15 minutes, I will still book appointments with a small additional travel charge.

At your home, I will do exactly as instructed. My goal is to build trust with you and your pet. I take lots of photos and videos and I love security cameras because you can watch! My energy is steady and positive. My teaching is rewards-based and I will never punish your dog. They are a product of their environment, so we must make it a happy environment. Safety and minimizing risk are my top priorities. I have handled dogs of all sizes and strengths - from teacup Chihuahuas to Great Danes.

Best a dog walker can be! Sensitive to my dogs needs since it’s been hot outside. Always looking for signs that they are too tired or too hot to go on a walk. Instead, he uses the time giving my dogs a good brushing. Awesome!
Michael has taught my dogs so much in such a short amount of time. He’s an amazing dog walker, and my dogs absolutely love him. One of my dogs is usually scared of almost everyone, but he warmed up to Michael so quickly, which says a lot. You can tell he genuinely cares, is patient, and really understands dogs and their different personalities. I truly feel comfortable and at ease knowing my dogs are with him. Highly recommend!
Michael was an excellent sitter, per usual! My animals absolutely love him! And they miss him when "the job" is done.
Michael was amazing! Kept me updated frequently and I could tell my pups loved him. He got my anxious one to go for a walk when usually she makes it to the corner then freaks out. He was also especially amazing with my big ole Great Dane who is super energetic and has no idea how big he is. After a terrible experience previously on Rover I was very hesitant but Michael will definitely be booked again for my pups! Thanks for everything!
Michael is the best dog walker we know! He knows dogs really well and is very sensitive to their needs. Now that it’s getting hot outside, he can recommend different products to keep their feet safe on the hot concrete. He is always thinking of the comfort of our dogs.

Schedule
Caring for animals is my full-time job. I typically have at least a few dogs everyday. 95% of my business comes from Rover. I do not mind last minute bookings or changes and I can be very flexible. My regulars appreciate being able to book me same-day for emergencies.
