“Kathleen is always a pleasure to work with. She is accommodating when asked for something outside of the normal pet sitting. I trust her in my home implicitly. Such a great find and an asset to Rover”

About: I grew up in a dog‑loving home and had the privilege of caring for several breeds over the years — first a Boxer, then a Siberian Husky, later a German Shepherd/Malamute mix, and eventually a Pomeranian. Being around such different personalities taught me how to understand dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Because of that experience, family, neighbors, and friends have always trusted me to check in on their pets, feed them, play with them, and make sure they feel safe and cared for. No one will be assisting me with care. I also accept rabbits and small pets for boarding. Owners must provide cage, food, and supplies. Because I work from home, I’m able to give your dog consistent attention and care all day long. Whether it’s playtime, potty breaks, or just keeping them company, I’m always close by. I also offer 24/7 boarding availability, ensuring your pet has a safe, supervised environment at all times. Your dog will have plenty of room to feel at home here. I live on an acre of land with a dog run and a peaceful neighborhood that’s ideal for daily walks. There’s even a small pond with geese right across the street, which many dogs find entertaining. Inside, the living room is designated as comfortable, pet‑friendly space where your dog can relax. I also provide a crate for dogs who prefer a cozy, enclosed sleeping area.
“While on vacation our young pup wouldn’t stop crying when she was left alone in our beach rental. Lauren was able to help watch her the very next morning. So responsive! So sweet! So punctual! I can’t say enough good things about Lauren!”

“Patricia watched our kitty Skye for a week & did a fantastic job! She has had cats for a long time & was wonderful with Skye & very respectful of us & our house. Patricia kept us well informed with details about Skye's care & did not hesitate to ask questions. We were completely sure that Skye was in good hands. We highly recommend Patricia for all your pets' needs.”

About: What sets me apart is how deeply I care about your dog’s emotional experience when you’re not there. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, and my intention is always to create a sense of calm, safety, and genuine love. I pay close attention to their energy, their needs, and their comfort, so they never feel anxious or alone. With my background working with Guiding Eyes for the Blind and as a veterinary nurse, I bring both intuition and experience to every interaction, whether I’m caring for a playful puppy or a gentle senior. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I already live a structured, active lifestyle centered around consistency and responsibility. I walk my own dog multiple times a day and spend time outdoors on local trails and along the Hudson River. I plan my schedule intentionally, which allows me to be reliable, punctual, and fully present for each dog I care for. This is not something I squeeze in. It is something I prioritize and build my day around. I care for every dog as if they were my own, with a strong focus on making them feel safe, calm, and loved in their environment. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I follow their routine closely so nothing feels unfamiliar or stressful. I pay attention to their behavior, energy, and comfort, and adjust my approach to meet their individual needs. I keep communication open with owners so they always feel at ease, knowing their dog is not just being watched, but truly cared for.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was four years old, and they’ve always been a huge part of my life. Caring for them has never felt like a chore—it’s something I truly love. I’ve always had a special connection with dogs, and my friends and family joke that I’m a “dog whisperer” because dogs seem to gravitate toward me everywhere I go. Whether I’m on vacation or just out running errands, I can’t resist stopping to say hello to every dog I see. I’m also the kind of person who goes to a party and ends up spending most of my time playing with the dogs instead of socializing! I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and attention. My childhood dog recently passed away after 16 wonderful years, and during her senior years I gave her daily medication, made sure our walks were comfortable with plenty of breaks, and, most importantly, gave her all the love and care she deserved. I also have a senior Chihuahua-Poodle mix who needs daily medication and occasional help getting onto the couch or bed, so I’m very comfortable caring for older dogs and understanding their unique needs. I also have a younger dog that I raised and helped potty train, and I’ve taught her several fun tricks, giving me experience with puppies and basic training as well. What sets me apart is that I treat every dog as if they were my own. I pay close attention to their personality, energy level, and routine to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. My goal is to make every pet feel happy and every owner feel confident knowing their furry family member is in caring hands. Pet care has always been part of my daily routine. I have two dogs of my own, so every day includes feeding them, taking them on walks, giving one of my senior dogs his daily medication, playing with them, and making sure they get plenty of love and attention. Spending time with dogs is something I genuinely enjoy, so caring for pets doesn’t feel like a task—it’s one of the best parts of my day. I make time in my schedule to ensure every pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I’ll follow all feeding, walking, medication, and potty schedules, provide plenty of playtime and affection, and make sure they always have fresh water. I understand that every pet has a different personality, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind.
About: I am a huge animal lover! I was a camp counselor at a daycare/boarding facility where dogs interacted and played together all day. I supervised up to 30+ dogs daily, and I have had hands-on experience with little and big dogs. I fed, cleaned, bathed, and administered medications that don't involve needles. I also have a lot of hands-on experience with cats and fish. I'm a huge animal lover, and I love children as well. I am not able to watch pets in my home, because of the pets I already have. However, I would be 100% willing to stay in your home to care for your beloved family member, or make visits. :)! I'm currently working as a 7th-grade English teacher in the Rockland County area from 9:00-3:40. I'm lucky enough to have awesome work hours that allow me to take care of pets as needed! Currently I can't watch other animals in my home because I have two cats of my own and a new puppy! All 3 of my animals are spoiled rotten! They have so many toys, tons of playtime, and the best of the best quality food and treats! I love my animals like my children, I even had a puppy shower for my new puppy! (Ask me for photos, and I will show you lol!) It's important to me, that your fur baby is comfortable, safe, and well taken care of. I will try my best to mimic your pet's schedule and keep them feeling pawsitively happy!

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and currently have one dog and two cats. In high school, I volunteered at an animal shelter, where I helped care for animals by cleaning, feeding, socializing, and helping with their daily needs. Through my volunteer experience and caring for my own pets, I’ve become comfortable working with animals of different ages, sizes and personalities. I am home from college for the summer, so I am extremely flexible to work with your schedule and make sure your pet is cared for when needed. My pets at home are extremely loved and my best friends. I understand that every animal is different, so safety and comfort are my top priorities. I will take the time to learn the pets routine so they will be comfortable in their environment.

“Stephanie takes great care of all of our pets, is quick to respond to questions/concerns about them, and was able to accommodate our booking on a day's notice due to a family emergency that required us to travel immediately. I highly recommend her!”
About: I’ve been around animals my whole life. Right now I have two dogs Ivy & Honey, a 1 year old cavapoo and a 7 year old Yorkie. I work part time at a doggy daycare at paw pals where I walk, feed, play, give them bath or medication and also do daycare with groups of dogs, big or small. I look forward for to providing care for other pets! I am also currently going to Mercy University, and I am in Animals science. I’m currently working part time, and I would love to take care of your pet. I’m available 4pm on Wednesday and Fridays, and I’m available Sundays 12pm I have a fenced yard in two friendly dogs, that would love to play with any dog. I will create your for baby, if needed or give him medication if needed.

“Elizabeth went above and beyond for my senior cat, Calvin! She took extra care to try and make him comfortable with her presence, and although he was too shy to come say hello I was greatly reassured by how thorough her visits and updates were. Great experience, would definitely book again.”

About: I’ve trained many pups, and can tell you that it’s not fun or exciting but always rewarding. I know the signs of all health problems and can accommodate accordingly. Ever since having a dog myself I understand how much you have to sacrifice for them, much like a child. Although a child doesn’t poop or pee on the floor, or chew up the baseboards. I will always fit pet care into my schedule wherever I can. I can walk them right before class, or take them out to play while I do homework. If there is a fenced yard I will sit outside and watch to see if your dog will get into any trouble. I have a super reactive dog and will never leave him unsupervised even if it’s just on the front porch with the gate closed.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Haverstraw
Lauren was absolutely amazing with our puppy, Mila! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She kept us updated throughout the visits, checked in regularly, and provided plenty of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was so reassuring to see how quickly Mila trusted Lauren and how much she enjoyed spending time with her. Lauren is incredibly sweet, caring, and attentive, and it was clear that Mila was in great hands. We would 1000% book with Lauren again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate!

Kathleen is just the best! She takes great care of my dad’s cat— she gives her play time and makes sure her litter box is clean and that she has everything she needs. My dad’s cat is critical to his well-being, and Kathleen’s visits ensure that Kelly is happy and healthy and can remain with my dad as he ages.

Stephanie was absolutely amazing with my dog, Dior! From the moment we met her, I could tell she genuinely loves and cares for animals. Leaving your dog with someone else can always feel stressful, but she made the entire experience so comfortable and reassuring. She kept me updated, treated Dior like family, and made sure he was happy, safe, and well cared for the entire time. Dior came home relaxed, happy, and clearly very loved while he was with her, which says everything. Stephanie is reliable, kind, attentive, and truly goes above and beyond. I’m so grateful to have found someone I can fully trust with my baby. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter. Thank you again, Stephanie, for taking such amazing care of Dior! 🐾❤️
Naomi was amazing! My dogs absolutely loved her; this was my first time using this apps and leaving my dogs. So I was nervous but thanks to Naomi I had a great experience and most important so did my dogs! She went above and beyond, always kept me informed on what was going on, along with daily pictures. She made me feel very secure and I knew I was leaving my dogs in the right hands! 10/10 experience I highly recommend hiring her. I definitely will be hiring Naomi again!!!
