1. Christene H.
“Daycare 7/20-22/2024: Christene’s online description did not mention that doggy day care would be AWESOME! Barkley eagerly exited our car to enter into Christene’s home to begin daycare. Every day Barkley returned happy and exhausted. After his last evening walk, Barkley immediately found his spot for the duration of the night and slept soundly until the next morning. He was one content Dood. It probably helped that Christene also had a Dood, Buster Moon. It must have been a daily Dood party! Highly recommend Christene, nice, friendly family, secure environment, pet owner. Would definitely rebook with Christene, again.”

3. Esteisy M.
“Esteisy is an amazing dog sitter and dog walker. She clearly loves animals and has a lot of experience. My little yorkie loves her and loves all the attention Esteisy gives him while I'm at work. She dog sat for me when I was on vacation. Her fiance and her dogs stayed over my home and my home and dogs were well taken care of. Esteisy is very responsible and you will be very lucky if you're able to book her!”
4. Maggie W.
“Our Kona's Day Care is coming along quite nicely with Maggie and her family. He is getting to know her children and small dog. We look forward to leaving Kona with Maggie for a few nights later this month. We think it is a good fit and that he will be happy which is very important to us. Thank you Maggie for taking good care of our boy. Mike and Kay Chase”

About: I have been around dogs all my life, and have learned how to properly train them through experience and good mentors. I also have watched much of The Dog Whisperer & other training videos online. I’ve seen critiques of Cesar Milan, with people saying he’s unnecessarily enforcing dominance roles; I only support dominance hierarchies to the extent that it helps the dog. If a dog believes they must be in control because they don’t have a good leader, they will be more stressed out which is unfair to the dog. I will never be unnecessarily rough with your pet, but I may do exercises like leash training to remind them that I am in control, and they don’t need to be in extreme protector mode. I have used this experience with success on friends’ and acquaintances’ dogs, as well as my own. He sits for over a minute until I tell him to Come, for example. Our housemate had a dying dog and I was there alongside him helping her care for him until his last moments. I also believe in reincarnation which helps me really see and have extra patience with each dog as I see them as a soul who is here to learn and experience. My husband and I have a relaxed lifestyle that allows us to be home most days other than side jobs and catering shifts on the weekends. We are in the midst of moving a couple hours east of here, albeit very slowly, so if your pup is with us for a while there’s a chance he or she will get to see the rural area of Middlesex VA and interact with some chickens! Both areas are far away from a main highway or there is a good fence. I have two friendly dogs, a Pomeranian and a whippet mix. We let them in and out as they choose, and have a couple acres for them to run and play on. I love going for runs and walks and would happily bring your pup along, depending on his or her energy level. I have a healthy understanding of how to keep a healthy leash contact with the dog, and if need be, I am quite strong if I need to keep the dog from running.
7. Liz H.
“Liz was amazing, sent pictures of our Lalo while he stayed with here and her husband. Great people highly recommended”
8. Evie & Chad M.
“Evie and her family are so caring. You can tell the moment you walk in the door that they are “dog people”. They have fostered dogs in the past so they’ve seen it all. They did a wonderful job dog-sitting for me a few months ago, even staying home from church so he wouldn’t be alone. They spoiled him rotten and were so patient with him, even though he was not the easiest case! Their dog, Wade, is the epitome of a “good boy”- so easy going, could care less about my male dog, and just happy to be with his family. Zero hesitations leaving my fur-kids with Evie and her family!”
9. Leidy A.
“Leidy is great! I felt really safe and comfortable leaving my dog with her. She gave us plenty of pictures of our dog Stella and it was really comforting since this was our first sitter in the NoVa area. My wife and I will definitely use Leidy again in the future.”
10. Lana P.
“This was the most amazing doggie vacation spot we could have ever dreamed for our 2 pups! Beautiful home and fenced in yard, well behaved doodle and little girl, Lana obviously loves pets and treated them just like they were her own! I cannot wait to go back to Williamsburg and visit and let the pups visit their home away from home again also!!!”
11. Emily C.
“Emily was wonderful with our dog!”
12. Hannah R.
“My dogs love Hannah! She does great with both personalities- one is high energy and one can be moody. Easy to communicate with. Flexible. Great meet and greet”
13. Lynn P.
“Such a great help. Very responsive & caring.”
14. Karen P.
“Great, east stay for daycare. Huntly enjoyed his time and would definitely recommend.”
15. Carol S.
“Carol Stephenson has always had a special place in her heart for senior citizens, children, and pets (not necessarily in that order). She makes her home in a picturesque farmhouse which borders a country road that leads to a wooded cemetery creating the perfect trail for walking the pets. She works from home which allows her to spend extra amounts of time with her own dog and cat. Over many years, she has cared for our various cats and dogs while we were away. We always felt confident that they would be taken care of with lots of love and care and kept safe. Her love for her own pets, whom she spoils rotten, will certainly be spilled over to yours.”
16. Melissa R.
“Frankie had a great time with Melissa. We'll definitely use her services again.”
