“Omaira and Isaac were absolutely wonderful with our dogs! They took such great care of our six-year-old Frenchie and our seven-month-old Doberman for five days, and we couldn’t have asked for better sitters. They were patient, attentive, and clearly very comfortable caring for dogs with different energy levels and needs. We received great updates and felt completely at ease knowing our pups were in loving, capable hands. Both dogs came home happy, well cared for, and clearly loved during their stay. We are so grateful for the care they provided and would highly recommend Omaira and Isaac to anyone looking for reliable, kind, and trustworthy sitters. We would absolutely book with them again!”

About: I grew up in a home of cat lovers (my mom was a librarian so it was required) and that has developed into a life time of caring for them. I have fostered for a cat rescue and experienced many different temperaments and diet requirements. I currently have a cat name Kiki (also affectionately known as Baby Boy, because he's the youngest) I'm very in tune with cat behavior and signals. Kiki is one of the loves of my life and I will treat your beloved cats the same
“If I could give Renee 10 stars I would. She is amazing - kind, responsive, thoughtful, genuinely cares and showed a lot of heart while taking care of our very elderly cat when we were out of town. She kept us posted, gave us updates, sent us pictures, and was simply a delight. When we returned from our trip Renee had taken care of everything, made sure everything was tidy, and my cat was relaxed and happy and clearly well loved. Knowing our beloved pet (and family member) was in such good hands allowed me to actually relax!!!, which is priceless. I recommend Renee with lots of enthusiasm and zero reservations. She's a lifesaver!”

About: I have had cats my entire life and have extensive experience caring for them through all stages of life. Growing up with cats taught me the importance of understanding their individual personalities, routines, and needs. In my adult life, I have had two cats of my own. One of them I raised from a kitten and cared for throughout his entire life until he was 13 years old. This experience gave me firsthand knowledge of kitten care, adult cat care, and the special attention and support senior cats need as they age. I am comfortable with daily feeding routines, litter box maintenance, administering medications when needed, and providing companionship while respecting each cat's unique temperament. Having lived with and cared for cats my whole life, I understand how important it is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for them.

“Rhianna took great care of our very shy, skittish cat. He usually hides when new people enter the apartment. She was able to find him each day and even sent me pictures! I’m happy with the care she gave our cat, Toast!”

“Our cats really seemed to enjoy having Ehlaura around while we were gone. Even our most timid kitty came out from under the bed to see her! She sent us photos every day and left notes about what they were up to. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

About: Animals have always been a constant part of my life. I grew up in a home where there were always dogs and cats around, caring for them wasn’t just a responsibility, it was part of daily life. Over the years, I have personally raised and cared for three dogs of my own, each with different personalities and needs, which taught me patience, structure, and how to connect with animals on an individual level. Most recently, I adopted another dog into the family, adding even more joy and playful to the house. From energetic puppies to gentle seniors, I have experienced it all training, playtime, feeding routines, crate care, walks, and of course, lots of cuddles. Whether your pet is shy or social, active or relaxed, we understand how to make them feel safe, loved, and at home. I have a partner who has been pet sitting for her friends and co-workers last 4 years. I work at shipyard, but my work is pretty flexible that I can check out our dogs or any other pet frequently to make sure they receive enough attention love and most importantly care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, I provide a calm and secure environment where dogs can relax and be themselves. I have a fully fenced big yard for safe outdoor play, and I supervise all interactions to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible — from feeding schedules to crate preferences and bedtime habits — so they feel right at home. I never use harsh corrections; instead, I rely on positive reinforcement, patience, and gentle guidance. I also keep my home clean, pet-proofed, and free of anything unsafe. Whether your dog is playful, shy, or somewhere in between, we make sure they always feel safe, respect. I will keep sending regular updates and pictures or videos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands

“Marcos took great care of our kitties. His updates were informative, assuring us that everything was taken care of. He even went above and beyond to pick up medicine when we ran out due to poor planning. Additionally, one of our cats is very difficult for her medicine, but Marcos was able to handle her. We were very glad to come home to healthy, only mildly resentful kitties.”

“Ellie G. is a great communicator with photo updates. The daycare day went well and Annie O was introduced to Ellie’s chickens and I’m sure she wanted to get a little closer but Ellie was great keeping Annie away from them. Annie also met Ellie’s dog and it appears that they both made a new friend. The day was a success.”

“⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Highly recommended! Christene is absolutely wonderful! From the moment I met her, it was clear she’s professional, cordial, caring, and truly loves animals. Her experience really shows, and we could tell she treated our pets as if they were her own. We came to Williamsburg for a long weekend, and Christene gave us total peace of mind while watching our two dogs. She has an ample fenced-in yard our dogs absolutely loved—they ran and played joyfully with her own dog and even met her cat! Many of the videos she sent showed them happily exploring and having the time of their lives. Christene is trustworthy, flexible, and everything you’d want in a sitter. We couldn’t recommend her more highly—whether you’re visiting Williamsburg or live locally, Christene is the one to call if you want your pets in the very best hands!”

Adventure-ready dog walkers - Hartfield

About: What most sets us apart is the level of care we give and how flexible our schedules are. Your dog will likely never be alone. They will also receive organic free range egg and meat snacks as a topper for their kibble, and if they are not at risk for eating chickens, they will have a large 2 acre fenced area to explore and run. If they do want to eat chickens, they will still receive two daily forest walk or runs and be free in the smaller pen or on a line. DIVERSE EXPERIENCE We have experience with all kinds of dogs, all ages and temperaments. We will ensure the puppies get proper potty training and are on a proper schedule (can be exactly as you specify). We can also help your dog to not jump up, not pull on the leash, and he'll with basic training like recall, sit, stay. We have cared for many an elderly dog helping them be as comfortable as possible. I was able to help a grieving dog, who did not want to do much of anything, to enjoy running through the woods and playing again. We also have safely had a blind dog in our care as well. I have been around dogs all my life, and I know how to help timid dogs relax, when to give them space and when they need me to simply love on them. For example, we had one dog who would run away from you, but when we finally set him on the couch and pet him he just about melted into a snuggly ball! TRAINING & PHILOSOPHIES I am often learning more about dog psychology and training methods. I only support dominance hierarchies to the extent that it helps the dog. If a dog believes they must be in control because they don’t have a good leader, they will be more stressed out. This is unfair to the dog. I will never be unnecessarily rough with your pet though and I use positive reinforcement first. I have used this experience with success on friends’ and acquaintances’ dogs, as well as my own. My dog sits for over a minute until I tell him to Come. I see each animal as a unique soul who is here to experience and learn. I will be patient with your pet, kind but firm, and we will have loads of fun! FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES I can accommodate many schedules, including crate training. I can bring the crate along if we will be gone longer than a half hour visiting the neighboring farm. I can ensure your pet is kept to whatever feeding and potty schedules they are comfortable with, especially with potty training puppies. I have one dog: a whippet mix. I let him in and out as he chooses, and have a couple acres for him to run and play on. I am currently working on the perimeter fence also. Scoop and I often play fetch. I love going for runs and walks and would happily bring your pup along, depending on his or her energy level. I have a healthy understanding of how to keep a healthy leash contact with the dog, and if need be, I am quite strong if I need to keep the dog from running. I like to use incredibly long leashes if the dog is a flight risk but doesn't pull too hard so they have room to explore.
About: I’ve worked in pet care professionally for 9 years, 4 of those years being spent in veterinary medicine. I approach pet care in ways that makes the pets most comfortable and value building relationships with the pets as much as I do my clients. I have an academic background in public health and am currently pursuing higher education with the end goal of earning a DVM. I am currently working full time at an animal hospital in Newport News, making my schedule more limited than it used to be for my pet sitting clients. My schedule is more workable for households located in Deltaville, Topping, Gloucester, Glouster Point, Hayes and Yorktown. Morning and evening visits are possible all days of the week, mid day / afternoon visits are currently limited to weekends. Please reach out to ask about scheduling possibilities! Early AM (before 7:30AM) and evening (after 6pm) visits available all week. Afternoon / mid day visits are dependent on location and day, but open every weekend. I do not let dogs off-leash in non-fenced in areas or in spaces with dogs unfamiliar to yours. I require all dogs and cats to be updated on their rabies vaccines. I will not take an unaltered dog outside of his or her home, this is for the safety and wellbeing of your dog. If your dog struggles with behavioral issues and has a history of aggression, please include this in your message so I can help you decide the best options for your pet when it comes to meeting a new pet sitter. If your dog struggles with severe anxiety (this is very common!) please include some of the best anxiety-reducing practices for your dog (ex. favorite blanket, hiding spots, calming treats / jackets) in their care instructions so that they can have the best time possible without their favorite human.

About: I grew up in a family of animal lovers and have been surrounded by them ever since! I affectionately call my dog and cat "the boys" and am always working to make sure they have the best life possible. I was a dog walker in Richmond and worked with many different types of dogs and temperament's. From French Bulldogs who hate skateboards to a Great Pyrenes mix who just wanted to cuddle. I cared for my childhood dog when he had cancer and have had my current dog since he was a puppy, giving me experiences in the many stages of life and health. I've worked with a trainer and am familiar with best leash walking practices and reading dog body language. I currently have a very flexible schedule and am able to spend much of my time on pet care and services. I am happy to take your pets on "field trips" to my favorite local trails if that is something you're interested in. Safety is of upmost concern for me. Your dog will always be on a lead or in a fenced in backyard. I have experience with leash aggression so I will also prioritize avoiding other dogs on walks when necessary.
“Candace did a FABULOUS job with our dogs, Banks and Brix. She was in constant communication with us and sent pictures so we could see they were having a good time and being well taken care of. Two thumbs up for Candace!”

About: I've been caring for animals since I was 7 years old, and my love for pets has only grown over the years. As an adult, I worked at an animal shelter, where I gained hands-on experience caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, needs, and backgrounds. I have also adopted and cared for three dogs of my own throughout every stage of their lives, from energetic puppies to senior dogs requiring extra patience, attention, and specialized care. This experience has given me a strong understanding of daily pet care, administering medications, recognizing changes in behavior, and providing the love and comfort pets need to feel safe and happy. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your furry family members. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, companionship, or extra attention due to age or special needs, I am committed to providing reliable, compassionate care while you're away. I am currently in between jobs, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to provide your pets with the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. Whether your furry family member enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I can tailor my care to their individual needs and routine. As a lifelong pet owner with experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, I understand how important it is to ensure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. From energetic puppies and playful kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care, I am committed to treating every animal as if they were my own. I have a fully fenced backyard with a 5-foot chain-link fence, providing a safe and secure space for your pet to play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. I do not have neighbors directly adjacent to my yard, so there is minimal concern about pets being distracted or stressed by animals on the other side of the fence. I am a lifelong animal lover and currently share my home with a senior dog, whom I've raised since she was 8 weeks old, and a young cat who has been part of our family since he was 8 weeks old as well. Having cared for pets through every stage of life—from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets requiring extra attention—I understand that every animal has unique needs and routines. When your pet stays with me, they will be treated like a member of the family. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where they can feel at home while you're away. I personally allow my pets on the furniture, but I fully respect each owner's preferences. If your pet has specific rules, routines, feeding schedules, medication needs, or restrictions, just let me know and I will be happy to follow them to ensure consistency and comfort during their stay. I have tons of experience with special needs pets, including special diets and administering medications. While getting paid to do something I love sounds amazing, safety is priority number 1. So go and enjoy yourself, I have everything under control 😉 While I do have to show up to my day job in order to maintain my cats life of luxury(and believe me he is demanding), I am an early bird so I can stop by first thing in the morning. I will head right over after work and again before bed. Unless you’d like me to have a sleep over with your pet so that they won’t feel lonely. I’m going to love your pet as if they were my own. I follow instructions and I don’t allow myself to become distracted. Your pet is my priority.

“Absolutely loved her! She did wonderful with my puppy, Axel! 10/10 recommend! I was worried about anyone watching him overnight, because he is still so young but she did a phenomenal job! I received several updates, photos, and videos of how Axel was doing and he loved it over there! ❤️🐾”
“All I have to say is that I will never take my furbabies to another sitter. Monica is fantastic! They went for walks and played lots! She is VERY understanding of the bullie breed. One of my dogs even had a small blister on his paw. She cleaned it, put on neosporin and wrapped it. I was so happy that she didnt just let it go even though we were picking up in a few short hours.”
