“Bri was great! My cat and dog loved her instantly. My cat is a senior kitty who will not eat if she's stressed and with Bri she had no loss of appetite. Bri also kept me updated with pictures. I highly recommend her for house sitting!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. (my soul dog’s ashes are in my paw tattoo 🐾🩷) I grew up with Rottweilers and currently have two of my own, Gino & Haus, they're my whole world! I also have a handful of kitties🥰 My passion for animal care goes back as far as I can remember. From baby videos of me crawling on my dog and giving him a big hug & kiss, to completing a veterinary training class in 10th grade, where I learned the basics of animal health and handling! There even was one time I rescued two dogs on the side of the highway who had dug out of their backyard!! I now have about 3.5 years of hands-on experience working with animals, including two years at doggy daycares, where I've cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I treat every pet like they're my own and I always try my best to give them a safe, loving, reliable person they can trust just as much as they trust you, no matter how long it takes them to warm up to me. Working with animals is more than just a job to me—it's what I love, and I plan to make it my lifelong career. I work at a doggy daycare with a flexible schedule, so my availability varies from week to week. I am almost always able to stay overnight for house sitting, and depending on my work schedule, I can spend all day, all morning, or all afternoon and evening with your baby. I always try to spend as much time as I can with your baby. (leaving work is as hard as you can imagine) My most common shift is 1:00 PM–7:00 PM, though I can also work morning, afternoon, and split shifts, though the weekday morning shifts are extremely rare. My weekday shifts are never longer than 6.5 hours, and the only time I may be away for up to 10 hours is on the occasional Saturday when I'm scheduled for a longer shift. On Sundays, I usually work split shifts, which means I'm able to come home and spend about 2½ hours with your pet between work periods. If it's a good fit for your baby and you're comfortable with it (and comfortable paying for it😅), I'd also be happy to talk about bringing them with me to my work so they can enjoy extra socialization, enrichment, and attention, while never leaving my side! I'm committed to keeping your babies routine as normal as possible and will always communicate my schedule ahead of time so you know exactly what to expect!! Your babies safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priority. I love to take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and other special needs so they feel comfortable and cared for while you're away, as if you haven’t even left! I am experienced in administering medications, following food schedules, and providing extremely gentle and personal care. Walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, I'll always make sure your baby gets plenty of exercise, attention, playtime, and affection (and making sure they know it!!) while I keep their routine as normal and consistent as I possibly can! I treat every pet as if they were my own, and pay close attention to their behavior so I can quickly notice and respond accordingly with any changes or concerns. You will also always get regular updates and photos about how they were and their day!
“Chelsea did a great job taking care of my animal family! My dog has special needs and she handled them perfectly! Also my dog instantly liked her, he could tell she’s an animal lover and I knew he’d be in good hands. She keeled me posted on how things were going which made it easier while being away! Highly recommend her!❤️😁”

“Corrine was fantastic with our dog and cat while we were away! We received daily updates and pictures, she also went above and beyond and gathered the mail for us and took out our trash. We’ll definitely rebook with her!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I am glad that I booked with Cassandra! I was nervous to use the app at first but after meeting her and her family I felt very comfortable leaving my puppy with her while I went out of town. I could tell right away that she is very knowledge about dogs and my puppy Mia loved her and her family! She sent updates and pictures which was really nice as well. I would definitely book with Cassandra again!”
“Joey and Angie were very kind and easy to work with. Joey was respectful of my home, brought in packages and mail, and kept me updated on the dogs while I was away. Communication was good throughout the stay, and it was clear that Joey cared about the dogs’ well-being. Overall, I appreciated the help and care provided during my trip.”

“Karen was awesome! She stayed at the house during the recent snow storm and she went above and beyond. We didn't have to worry about a thing. Beckett was sad to see her go. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Bacchus is a senior dog who loves to stay in his own home. He does not do well staying over at someone’s house or kenneled. Kaitlyn stayed at our house while we went on vacation and provided all the love and care needed for him. She sent us daily updates and pictures. And always responded if I had a question. She had no problems following Bacchus’s schedule of daily treats ( he’s a treat boy!). We came home to happy dog and a spotless home! She even cared for my outside flowers which was a challenge in the hot temps. She did a great job both inside and out! I definitely recommend Kaitlyn and will ask her to pet sit the next time we need her.”

About: My first time dog sitting, I watched 2 Great Danes for a week while their family was away. I left this experience telling everyone I wanted to own a Great Dane when I got older. I have a tremendous love for pets and love to work with the family to keep them happy and routine oriented. I also adore my family dog, Sam. I currently work full time Monday-Friday, so being a dog walker would fit into my schedule week nights after 5pm, and weekends. I am open to dog sit on the weekends. I care for pets in my clients home by making sure I follow in-depth instructions about their pets routine while also making sure their house is kept tidy during my stay.
“Karie was absolutely wonderful caring for our two dogs while we were away for the weekend. She was always sending photos of the dogs and making sure they were well cared for. We would highly recommend Karie for all of your animal needs!”

About: I’ve learned and taken on responsibilities caring for animals, specifically dogs, at a young age. Nacho, my past rescue dog, lived to be about 15 years of age. He needed quite a lot of care in his old age, including joint supplements, pimobendan for his heart, and other treatments. I currently have two cats named Kirby and Sam. I would love to have a dog, but my living situation doesn’t allow currently for the quality of life they deserve. I work full-time as an aesthetician, but with some days off, so if you need a day or a time that you don’t see we may be able to work something out:) I ensure a clean environment with no hazardous materials around, ample enrichment, and all the love humanly possible. Full of healthy food and treats obviously🤪

About: My family has raised Labrador retrievers since i was a baby. I have grown up around animals and was raised to respect pets and treat them like family. I am used to working with large, energetic dogs who have lots of energy and wanna play. Rain, snow, or sunshine, dogs need their exercise and love. I am a dependable, reliable, hard worker who understands how difficult it can be caring for pets in the hustle and bustle of modern life. I have experiencing pet sitting for family friends and i always make it a priority to treat those pets with love and care as if they were my own. I have a busy schedule, so I am looking for mostly weekend work. My main availabilities are Friday-Saturday-Sunday.

About: I genuinely love dogs and will give them the same care and attention I'd want for my own pet. My goal is to make them feel at home and keep their routine as normal as possible I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give plenty of attention, potty breaks, exercise, and lots of love throughout their stay! I can do whatever is easiest for you! I treat them like they're my own! They get plenty of food and water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of love and attention. I also stick to whatever routine or special instructions the owner gives me.

“Amanda was great with our three Husky’s. They are all blowing their coats and she did a great job keeping up with the flying fur. Our dogs were so calm and relaxed when we got home, she did a great job of keeping me updated and I didn’t have to worry about whether or not they were well cared for during our vacation!”

“Izzy took care of our two dogs and four rabbits while we were on vacation. She was very attentive to the needs of all of the animals and communicated with us before we left and throughout the six days that we were gone. It was such a relief to not have to send our dogs to the kennel like we did a few times in the past before connecting with Izzy on the Rover app. Izzy is very professional, punctual, and reliable. She even sent us photos of the dogs.? We will surely be using Izzy in the future.”

“Cara was great! From the moment I contacted her she was so quick to respond! So many dog sitters don’t respond that quickly and some don’t respond ever? I was thankful to get Cara to sit with Penelope!! Thank you! 👍❤️😊”

About: I have owned dogs and cats since 1985 and was on a K9 Search and Rescue team for 18+ years so I have worked with all types of dogs and have a lot of experience with training. I currently work outside the home M-F 9-5 but can work from home upon request. Weekends I am home the majority of the time and spend most of my time hanging out with my own dogs (two labs) I have hosted a variety of dogs in my home including corgis, labs, goldens, frenchies, pitties, mals, and other assorted breeds. I treat everyone's pets just like my own - lots of treats, snuggles, couch naps, and of course sleeping on the bed if they want. Both of my labs are extremely friendly and love pretty much all dogs, but I do have experience sitting some dogs who preferred to be separate from my boys via either baby gates or kennels (depending on what the dog is comfortable with). I have a large fenced in backyard and a smaller fenced in front yard. The backyard has a doggie door that allows the dogs to go in and out at will, although when I am not home, I do not give any dogs access to the yard (even my own dogs as a safety issue).
“Moon was absolutely amazing. We have 5 dogs and a cat. She took great care of our pets and made sure that they had plenty of play time, cuddle time, and of course, treats! She always sent plenty of photos every day and communicated with us throughout our vacation. All of our pets took to her right away and they were very happy and healthy when we returned home from our trip. We will definitely be using Moo. On our next trip.”

“We had Mollie stay with our 2 dobermans while we were out of town for a long weekend. We did a meet and greet before hand to review everything. We got lots of photos and updates. Came home to happy dogs. Would use her again in a heartbeat!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,311 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Harshaville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Harshaville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Harshaville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Harshaville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
