“Hannah did a great job taking care of my kitties!! She even went above and beyond and swept around the litter box and brought in packages for us! She sent me pictures and kept me updated on them as well.”

About: I'm frequently doing outdoor activities with my dogs. I've had dogs for over 15 years. Bolt I found in the side of the road and he’s been a wonderful addition to the pack (I’m a foster failure 🤷🏼♀️)! Rollo I met at a dog path with his former owner and I happily took him in when I was asked to adopt him. If your dog is a runner, so am I! We are a very active group, but are happy to lay around and snuggle if that’s your dog’s preference too. I am flexibly available. I am a military Officer. I've had great luck securing care for Rollo and Bolt in this app and just want to share that with others as well. My goal is to make sure your dog is just as happy with me as he or she is with you because that’s what I want for my two babies when I go away. Shoot me a message, and let's make a date to introduce our dogs! I am currently searching for new employment, and thought I’d activate my account again for extra cash. I am always doing things with my two dogs - dog parks, walks, outdoor play/lounging, chicken tending, gardening and more! I love doing everything I can with my dogs. I have ten acres with a run attached to a tree in my back yard. There’s a sprinkler for your dog to play in, if that’s their thing - and because we have chickens here, you’ll fur-baby will also get a raw fresh egg with breakfast if you approve. I am happy to care for senior dogs as long as they appear happy and aren’t 💩ing everywhere in my house.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was young. Neighbors, friends, and family rely on me to walk, feed, play with, and bathe their pets. I’m patient, gentle, and confident with animals of all sizes, and I always treat every pet like they’re my own. I am currently working part-time, and only work maybe three days out of the week for as most as 6 hours. With that being said I am pretty available all throughout the week for any pet sitting needs! I care for pets with gentleness and I try to follow how the owner would typically care for their pet. Making sure all of the pets and owners needs are both met.
“Madolyn was amazing. I highly recommend her as sitter. I have a very skittish dog that was her best friend by the second day. I was not available so she sent a text to my husband every morning giving him a detailed update. I will definitely be using her again and again. 5 stars from this client.”
“Heather was great, so professional and helped us out on short notice. Sent plenty of pictures and updates, such a great experience ❤️ thanks for taking care of Lucy!!”

“Rebecca is the best. She is consistent, trustworthy, compassionate, kind, and I could go on. She treats my Angel like she’s her own. I never have to worry about Angel, and that means the world to me.”

About: I'm Toya, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I've had pets my entire life and understand that they are much more than animals; they're family. I currently have three dogs, so I'm very familiar with the daily responsibilities that come with pet care, including feeding, walking, administering medications when needed, providing exercise, and giving pets the attention and affection they deserve. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pets while you're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment. Whether your pet needs companionship, playtime, walks, or simply someone to keep them comfortable while you're gone, I'm committed to making sure they receive the best possible care. My pets are a big part of my daily routine. Caring for my three dogs includes feeding, walks, playtime, grooming, and making sure they stay healthy and active. Because pet care has always been part of my life, providing consistent, loving care comes naturally to me. I will provide your pet(s) with the same level of care and attention that I give my own. In my clients' homes, I follow each pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, exercise, playtime, medication, and plenty of companionship. My goal is to keep pets comfortable, reduce stress, and ensure they feel safe while their owners are away.
“Autumn was absolutely wonderful with my dogs and they lived her! She even sent pictures updates while she was there. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and I'm excited about using here in the future!”

I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets, and I would love the opportunity to give them the attention, companionship, and love they deserve while you’re away! Unfortunately I am unable to do pet care in my own home at the moment due to apartment complex having pet policies to ensure residents and their pets a safe home.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and the proud owner of two French Bulldogs—a mother and her son. I’ve been involved in every stage of their care, from assisting with the birth of a litter to administering medications and routine injections when needed. I’ve also cared for as many as eight puppies at one time, so I’m comfortable managing multiple dogs while ensuring each receives plenty of attention and care. Whether your dog enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply relaxing, I’ll tailor my care to their needs. I work full time, but I’m available before and after work as well as on weekends, allowing me to provide dependable care and consistent communication. About: Here at Ty's Bark Club I take the health and well-being of each and every fur baby that I am rewarded the opportunity to care for. I understand that they are an extension of your family. My goal is to provide you with the best quality of care, starting from the initial point of contact. While your fur baby is here, I evaluate their overall well-being, paying close attention to their play method, eating, drinking, bowel movements, limb movement, teeth and more. I educate myself on each animal to be able to ensure their stay is enjoyable, being they are away from family and their stomping grounds. No pet is too old, young, small, giant, dark, light, quiet or mouthy to come enjoy a vacation at TT's Bark Club. My fur baby is just like having a child, I set rules and establish boundaries for a well-rounded human-to-canine/feline relationship. I understand the importance of obedience and how tedious and time consuming that can be, I am offering to train your pet for you. Be sure to read to find out more. Leave a review & include #TeamTy and get 20% your next booking over $75. My willingness to learn and transparency is what enhances my reputation, based on the reviews from previous pet owners leaving their heart felt comments. I am determined to efficiently ensure a clean and safe environment as I am conducting our kennel out of the comfort of my home. With a flexible daily schedule, I maintain a healthy schedule that fits each need of your pet(s) during their stay with me. Being outside to smell the air and feeling the breeze is the best part about vacation, right? Well at Ty's, outside is where the grass is green, the sun is hot, and the water comes with ice cubes to beat the heat. I conduct daily cleaning. Ensuring to clean bowels, cages, toys, linen and more. During each feeding time, ALL pets are put into their crates, read to find out more. My backyard has been newly fenced in to provide the best security for your pets while they are here. Some quick repairs have been done to the fence, since running the kennel. (Great updates coming soon)!! There is minor dirt but mostly grass that is well maintained. Considering how many pets come to my home, we have a company come out to spray the outside and inside of the home for a variety of pest to include by not limited to fleas, ticks and flies. This is a home-based business, thus leaving out key information about your pet is a non-negotiable and could potentially be a hazard for your pet and others. If your pet’s care guide is not an accurate description on their behavior once arrived, early pick-up will be required, so misrepresentation is highly discouraged. This is not a pet foster home, mean-time in between time, shelter, or rescue. It is prohibited to bring your pet(s) here, while you are looking for a new home for them. I do not wish to be a part of that transaction; have tried it and wish nothing but the best for you during that adventure. Thank you for understanding.
About: Ever since I was about 8 or 9 years old, I have been surrounded by animals. I can care for cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, lizards, fish, and turtles if need be. I am able to adapt to whatever pet care needs that are required for certain animals. I am usually available every day except for Mondays, and on Saturdays I am busy until 11:15 AM. So, I will have plenty of time to help take care of your pets. I do not have a fenced in front or back yard, but I am able to keep animals inside the house or go on walks if needed.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since early childhood. Between walking, feeding, and playing, I’ve cared for pups since I can remember. I have two mix breed babies at home. I am a writer with an 11 year old child. So taking your pets for a walk would be a nice break in my day! I have a large yard, and two medium sized fur dogs that love to play. I can also keep them separate if need be or even crate.
“Lilliana was absolutely amazing! Very communicative as she sent me pictures and updates every day. My pups loved her and she went out of her way to make sure they were well taken care of while we were gone. I 10/10 will be requesting her in the future”

“I can't say enough nice things about Hannah, she is absolutely amazing! She watched my two elderly cats for two weeks, and did a fantastic job. I absolutely hate leaving them and typically worry the whole time I'm away, but after the meet and greet I knew they would be well cared for and safe. They both liked her immediately which is extremely rare for one of them. That same cat doesn't do well with being left, she's always extremely clingy and lethargic when we return home. This was the very first time, (and she's 13 years old) she seemed happy and unconcerned by our absence! It really showed how comfortable and secure she felt. Hannah is kind, professional, and quick to respond. I'd hire her again in a second!”

About: I’ve been a professional dog trainer for the last 5 years. I spent my childhood training horses and showing horses and dogs. I’m very comfortable with any breed and size dog! I work from home and can make my own schedule which allows me to be very flexible with my availability to care for your pets! I have a fenced yard and ruffland crates to keep your dogs safe! I have 2 very friendly female German shepherds for you pup to play with!
About: Hi, I’m Bri! I’m a lifelong animal lover with professional experience as a pet sitter, dog walker, kennel technician, and current kennel manager. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages, including seniors, high-energy pets, and those with special needs. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, or extra comfort while you’re away, I provide attentive, reliable care and treat every animal like family. I work full-time as a kennel manager, with shifts from 6am–2pm or 6am–6pm, so early morning or evening pickup and drop-off work best. On my days off, I dedicate my full attention to your pets, making sure they get plenty of love, playtime, and personalized care. For everyone’s safety, I ask that pets are up to date on vaccinations, flea-free, and friendly with other pets. I can only accept small dogs, as my medium sized dog isn’t comfortable around larger breeds. If your cat prefers their own space, I can keep my cats separated to help them feel comfortable.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 202 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Harlem. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Harlem. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
