“Angela was great with our dogs. Buster was very protective of his home, but after a w days grew to look forward to her walks and playing. Sadie, our old blind dog, did enjoy her attention. We would definitely have her back. She worked well with our house sitter in coordinating schedules. Enjoyed seeing pictures of the dogs. We had a fabulous trip knowing our dogs were in great care.”

We had her check in with our cats for 6 days and she sent lots of pictures of her feeding and entertaining the kitties, which helped us feel at ease about the quality of her care. When we got home we can tell our cat were very happy kitties. I will definitely be a repeat customer and will be asking Maleny to come back for future check ins with our pets.”

About: I have taken care of 4 dogs at once. 3 big, 1 small. They required a lot of attention. I also had to give medication to 2 of the dogs. I enjoy spending time with dogs and fitting to their needs I am in college. I have a class on monday in person for about 2 hours but besides that all my other classes are online so I am always free. About: See my $20 Off QR Code in my photos! I love being around animals and have been around them my whole life. I grew up in generations of animal & nature-lovers. It’s a gift to be able to connect with animals. I love to return the positive energy an animal gives. I feel like every animal deserves kindness. I feel like I have a gift to be able read, understand, calm and relax and add happiness to an animal’s day. They are therapy for me as much as I feel I am for them. I’m happiest and genuinely feel most at-ease with animals. It’s important for me they feel comfortable with and around me. I know that much like human children, routine is very important to pets. If you need me to check in on them, feed /water them, potty breaks/short walks/close-by parks/play toss-the-ball, hug/cuddle/companion-time or stay at your home I am available to help. I develop unique connections to each animal I’m around and grateful to be around each one. Whatever a pet-owner needs me to do to help make their pet’s day better, I’m up for the challenge. Animals make my day, daily! Whether it be my friend’s dogs & cats or the Brahma bull that is up the road, I try to see an animal each day. I do have experience with animals that have high-anxiety, special needs and abusive backgrounds. I currently have a few tears in my meniscus which is preventing me to do rigorous walks. I will be scheduling surgery soon but that does not prevent me from tossing a ball around for a dog. I look forward to meeting and caring for your pet(s)! I am looking to assist with in-home day/night(s) stays, drop-in visits and walks. I’m available anytime and look forward to meeting you & your pet(s)! Although I do have a wonderful, small fenced-in yard, I live in an 800 sq ft home therefore, I think it's best to go where the pet is most-comfortable (their own home).

About: I grew up having a dog in the house so I know what it’s like to care for one, and the responsibilities that come with it. I believe dogs are like humans meaning they need the same love and attention that we do. While your dog is in my care we will go on walks, I’ll play with them, and take care of all its basic needs as well as providing pictures and videos to keep you updated. One of my special skills is that I am very patient with animals. I know it’s hard to trust a stranger with your fur baby but I am very trustworthy and caring and will treat your dog as if it was my own. Thank you very much!

About: I have spent my whole life growing up with a wide variety of dogs and cats, and also rabbits, geckos, fish, shrimp and African dwarf frogs! Although I don’t have the resources to have a fur baby, I love and adore my aquarium and would love to care for your fur babies as well! i have a very flexible work schedule that allows me to crate my own hours, as well as work from home as much as needed. I also have the freedom of being able to come and go from my work as needed throughout the day I unfortunately do not have the space or the time to adopt and care for a pet of my own and how unfair that would be to the animal when I go back to work, but my aquarium is perfect for me! I have catfish, shrimp, and African dwarf frogs that I love and adore. I also provide very attentive and caring attention to any pets that I watch or interact with

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Hamricks Corner

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of November 2026, there are 6,552 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Hamricks Corner. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hamricks Corner. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
