About: Hi, I’m Laura! I have been living in the the Wandermere area for the past 25 years with a lifelong passion for animals. I’ve had the joy of owning and caring for a variety of pets including dogs, cats, birds, and horses. I have obedience trained my Afghan hound years ago and began horse riding lessons at age 9. These days, I’m joined by my 9-year-old American Bulldog, Penny, who is my loyal companion. Although I’ve been pet-sitting for friends and family for years, I’ve recently decided to expand my services on Rover to stay active and continue doing what I love. I’m especially passionate about pet nutrition and healthcare—particularly for senior animals—and I have extensive experience with administering medications and supplements to help them thrive in their golden years. I have a lot of flexibility with scheduling. I have reliable transportation and am happy to provide as many visits as your pets need throughout the day. I am a calm and patient handler of animals and enjoy getting to know each pet's unique quirks and mannerisms. I love dogs of all sizes, but likely would not be the best fit for large dogs who jump up on guests or pull hard on a leash. However, I’m always willing to care for pets that match my pace, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and well-cared for while you’re away.

About: I have volunteered at an animal rescue for about 2 years and I have a puppy who I trained and have cared for in the past year. I also have had cats all my life and have fostered pregnant kitties until their kittens were old enough to be adopted. I am currently at home most days, so long as I have some advanced notice I should be able to make anything work. The more time I have the more likely I am to be able to fit you in. I have a wide variety of leashes, dog toys, treats, and other supplies that I can use when working with your pets or I can work with their existing favorites if that is what is prefered. I will spend ample time playing with and caring for you pet. I signed up for Rover because I want to spend lots of time with your pets. If you want I can even help some with training because that is something I am studying and hoping to make a career of. I can take frequent potty breaks as needed and go on long walks if that's what your pet enjoys. I will sculpt the time I spend with your pet just how you want and try to replicate, if not improve the care you would provide if you were there.

I can give medicine orally or by injection and will do it as painlessly as possible, I have cared for many senior dogs over the years as well! I have one cat and two dogs, our cat has an extensive medical history, being an outdoor and indoor cat she has seen her fair share of feral cat fights!
