About: I’ve been caring for pets for a few years, mostly for close friends and family. Whether it’s feeding, walking, or just keeping them company while their family is away, I’ve always treated pets as my own. I often help with housesitting and babysitting as well, so I’ve learned to also juggle multiple responsibilities. I’m currently home for the summer from college, although as back to school season starts, my last day in Bakersfield will be September 15th. With no current academic commitments, I am able to build my daily routine around the pets I care for! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always do my best to keep their routines as normal and comfortable as possible. About: I have a love for pets. With 48 years experience training pets and caring for pets of all ages, breeds and tempoerments. I have worked with many veterinarians around Kern Country and have extensive background in animal health and care. From the age of 9 to 18 I was involved in 4-H where I won achievement awards and acknowledgement for my handling and caring for pets. I worked in a dog and cat boarding facility for 15 years feeding, cleaning and caring for pets while their owners were away. I have also assisted in pet grooming. About: I’ve had at least 5 years of experience sitting for friends and family. I’m going to college and studying to be a Veterinarian. I volunteer at Kern County animal shelter, and my main task is cleaning puppy cages, so I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I am a college student at CSUB, studying to be a veterinarian. During the Summer, I have a lot of free time while still maintaining good availability during the school year. Even if I have classes, I would still be able to check on an animal every day. I make sure to remove anything that could potentially harm an animal (Sago Palm for cats) and if they enjoy going outside, to always have them on a leash and in my sight.

About: I've had dogs of all shapes in my house growing up: german shepherds, Yorkies, pit bulls and loooots of stray cats. I currently have 2 fur babies but I wish had more. I was the go-to kid in the neighborhood to check in on pets, play with them for energy, bathe and walk them and much more. I did it for fun, but looking back I probably should have charged $5 haha. I work from home and would love to help you out by watching, bathing, or walking your fur baby. I work from home and am very flexible in my hours. I am very familiar with dogs, cats and some rodent pets. I usually watch my friends' and family's dogs and cat while they are away and have no trouble fitting in plenty of walks and play time for them I make sure to respect the home and the owners while giving all my attention and time to the pets I'm watching. I also like to ask for particular tidbits that the animal's characters benefit from. (this goes from medications and feeding habits as well as things and behaviors to stay away from) For example, my pitbull needs a lot of attention but honestly, she just likes to be in the same room as everyone and likes to be talked to in funny voices whereas my Yorkie will just walk off and find a corner to crap in if she doesn't get enough attention and you will never know. I want pet parents to feel like they can forget about their pets while they are gone, it can be more trouble than it's worth to constantly worry and fret over your fur babies with a stranger.

About: As someone who has owned pets, I have years of experience in caring for both cats and dogs. When I could not locate a proper groomer for my shihtzu, I learned how cut my dogs hair and clip his nails. I have open availability so I can fit morning, afternoon, and nightly check ins, baths, walks, overnight sitting, and errands. I would love to spend as much time as I can making sure that your pet is well loved and taken care of. I don’t want to break an animal’s routine so if you have your pet on a schedule/routine, diet, or regiment of some sort, I plan to stick to that.

About: I have had a dog of my own for 6 years now. Some more in past years. I have taken care of my friends and families pets for years now. Pets can be scared and intimidating but I know that with my love and patience with pets they do become comfortable with me. I work with kids, but my schedule is really flexible and I have breaks in between each client which gives me the opportunity to check up on pets. I have a fenced yard with two dogs. One of them is Charlie, a poodle/shih tzu, who is super sweet and the other dog is my sisters, who is a Rottweiler named Blue. Blue and Charlie are both sweet dogs. Blue is very energetic and playful and has never been aggressive as well as Charlie. Charlie mainly stays in my room in his kennel and Blue stays separated from the backyard and stays in the side area or in his kennel in the garage. All pets have always been separated but do give them opportunities to play with each other often and supervised.

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life and now that I’m in the BEST years of that life (retired) I am able and ready to share all of my love and experience with new dogs and people! Although I can’t stay the night in your home, I CAN drop in, feed, play with, give snacks, even administer medication if needed, walk, and when it’s time for them to go to bed, make sure they are all tucked into bed. I can assure you that your fur baby will be loved and comfortable while your away- They will be treated with the love I give my own! As a retired person, I am living the dream, being a stay at home mom of fur children…let me love yours too! I am retired but my day starts with my three dogs at 5 in the morning, Everything I do revolves around them. They go out to use the bathroom then eat and come back in to sleep until around 7:30 then our actual day begins. Each Doodle goes on a mile and a half walk then my little pug, Sophia goes on her walk. Shes a senior so she only goes for as long as she can. This is a daily routine. They LOVE being outside so we spend almost all day outside on the patio playing when it’s nice…. They all love riding in the car so EVERYBODY at the bank, CVS, Dewars,Starbucks knows them by name. Where I go, they go! They have their spots in the car and they know their places. My kids are grown but I am definitely NOT an empty nester, they are my life and fulfill me 100%. For their safety with all the craziness happening in the world, as much as they love being outside, they are NEVER left outside when I am not home. They are brought inside and have been crate trained since they were 7 weeks old. It is their safe place and they love their crates. It’s where they sleep and where they eat too.

About: I am a teacher with extra time to help with any pet sitting - last minute or planned ahead! I am willing to travel to others homes to feed your pets, take them on walks, give them baths or whatever is needed! Over the summer I will have many weekdays and weekends completely open for pet sitting jobs. Beginning mid August, I teach full time in an elementary school 8-3:30. Whatever your safety rules are, I will adhere to. Having taken care of babies as well for many years, I have a high sense of safety when someone's precious cargo is in my hands.

About: I have always taken care of my neighbors pets and I’m ready to take care of all your pets with their different personalities and sizes. I had a dog named Toby that I trained to do all sorts of stuff can’t wait to start taking care of your pets I’m currently doing school at home so I can attend to all of your dog or cats needs all the time. About: I have taken care of many animals, including some that most would consider incredibly difficult, so if your pets need more care or attention that won’t be a problem. I have handled dogs that are aggressive towards other dogs so I know what to do in situations like that. I have also taken care of days old kittens and I understand how to care and provide for young animals. I am self employed and my schooling is online so I have no scheduling conflicts. I am available at any time of any day really. I am able to take care of your pet however you need me to. I have taken care of pets who needed a lot of supervision and pets that needed very little. I love going on walks with them and I will take them to parks or things like that if that’s something you would like! I am currently self employed so I can work around any schedule. When I do house sitting, I usually do my work during the day and take as many breaks as needed to stop by the house and take care of the pets, and then I spend the night time spending more time with them. I have taken care of all different types of pets ranging from low to high maintenance. I have experience with escape artists and I am very aware and take special attention to ensure no one gets out. I also have experience with aggressive pets and I know how to handle myself in difficult situations. I feel like this is especially important for dogs that require walks because I am extra aware of other dogs in the area and I am more attentive to make sure there aren’t any quarrels.

About: As a pet parent of eight years, I have extensive experience caring for specifically cats. However, I have experience dog sitting for my sibling—including caretaking for a two month old puppy. In general, my experience dog sitting consists of house sitting for multiple days in a row and two to three 1 hour walks per day for a single pet (much of my experience caretaking for dogs has been with high energy cattle dogs).
