About: I’ve always been in a home with a variety of pets: cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, chickens, ducks, and hamsters. I’ve worked as a veterinary technician in the past, volunteered at pet shelters, completed a pet first aid class, and am completely comfortable administering a variety of medications. Your loved one is in gentle, skilled, and reliable hands with me. I currently am semi retired, but still working, so I am available on my days off. These days vary week to week, so please inquire in advance and I’ll do my best to help you with your needs. I would like to get to know you and your pet first, to provide the most consistent and reassuring care for your pet while you are away. Some pets prefer a slow, steady, gentle approach to bonding, while others are more exuberant and outgoing; much like people, it varies per to pet.

I currently work a full-time job enforcing animal cruelty laws. Nearing retirement in July of 2027 I am available in early morning hours as well as evenings Monday thru Friday and anytime on weekends and holiday's. It is important to know your animals. They tell us when they are happy, sad and ill. Paying attention to the signs they give you is vital to a safe environment. Constant communication between the owner and myself is a pivotal step to ensuring these signs are not overlooked.

About: I have been taking care of pets since I was born with my first Golden Retriever “Missy”. My family has had a wide variety of animals from dogs and cats, to hamsters and bunnies, all the way to horses. I am often called on by my fiends to pet sit as I am known as the friend with a surplus of pets. I currently have a small dog named Munchie with many different health problems such as anxiety and epilepsy which gives me experience in caring for dogs with specific needs. I also currently have a large dog who is a Shepard, Boxer mix named Leo who gives me experience in caring for large dogs and their active and rambunctious needs. Along with my two dogs I have four cats who give me experience in the joy of caring for cats. As a pet owner I know the struggle of finding a good and trustworthy pet sitter. That is why I want to be able to be that pet sitter that will allow you to enjoy your vacation or go to work with the peace of mind knowing your pet is being taken care of. I am currently a student at Marist College in Poughkeepsie. Due to my class schedule I have blocks of time in which I am not in class or doing homework that I would love to be able to fill with hanging out with dogs:) Due to the fact that I am a college student I do not have the home environment to be able to care for your dog at my house. But I will give them the love and attention they need during my drop-in visits with lots of pets, playtime, walks and treats!

I always check for any changes in behavior or appetite and will communicate updates with photos for peace of mind. For walks, safety is my top priority. I make sure collars and harnesses are secure before heading out and adjust the walk based on your dog’s energy level and needs. Whether your dog prefers a brisk walk or a slower, relaxed pace, I make sure they get proper exercise and stimulation. I return them safely, refill water if needed, and always send updates after the walk.
