“Dawn was absolutely FANTASTIC! We have a mostly blind 10+ year old Golden and a newly adopted 4+ year old Golden/Chow mix. Dawn was everything we had hoped for in a house/dog sitter. She walked the boys often and texted pictures throughout our trip. I called and texted often and she was always available to let me know how our "kids" were doing. We will definitely use Dawn again. It's so nice to be comfortable and relaxed on an extended time away from home when you know your family is being tended to and not having to be locked away in a fenced area. Thanks Dawn! About: Dogs will get "lazy" walks in which they can explore and sniff their surroundings to satisfy their curiosity unless you want a stricter walk. I am also willing to take dogs on jogs if requested for the more energetic pup, I am not a fast runner though so be warned. I have raised dogs from puppy to their senior years so I am comfortable with all dog ages. I am generally a calm person so the house is quiet and relaxing for your pet, but I also do inside play with lots of toys. I am limiting the number of pets and families I will be taking care of to ensure that your pet(s) will get the care and attention they need. Hope to meet you and your pet very soon. American Red Cross Pet CPR certified. For overnight stays I do ask that drop off happen after Noon and pick up happens before Noon or I will need to charge an extra $10 for the day since I would not take an additional pet family.

“I literally can’t say enough about Heather. I had to go to CA for a doctor’s appt and had to be gone for a week and right before I left, my dog became really sick and needed IV for 3 days. Heather didn’t hesitate. She went above and beyond and took Maggie to the vet to make sure she got exactly the care that she needed. I wouldn’t have left my dog period, but I had that much faith in Heather and the doctor’s appt was beyond a need for me.”

About: Ever since I can remember, I always had pets in my house! I grew up surrounded by dogs, and because of that I have always had a special place in my heart for animals. I’ve mainly taken care of small to medium size dogs, with a few larger dogs mixed in, as well as hamsters! Although I haven’t personally taken care of any cats, I do have quite a few friends with cats, which has allowed me the opportunity to spend time with them and see the various tasks that go into caring for them. I currently work an 8 hour job, Monday- Friday, so I would only be able to care for your pets when I am not at work. On weekends I would be free all day to take care of your pet, and on weekdays I could take care of your pet in the evenings after work and in the mornings before work. Details regarding this can be further discussed depending on the situation! I currently don’t have any pets of my own, which would allow me the opportunity to put all of my focus on your pet and their needs. How I care for your pet will depend on the specific needs of your animal. If your dog is house trained I am more than happy to let them stay outside of their crate if they are left alone in my home. I currently don't have a dog crate, but if your dog needs one I am more than happy to utilize one you have. When caring for your animal, at my house or yours, I want to spend as much time as possible with them and make their time away from you as easy as possible. I will make sure they get fed at their scheduled times and will make sure to play with them, and give them all of the loving they deserve!
