“This was the first time ever using a sitter from Rover! Ashley was absolutely wonderful with our fur babies! We have boarded our dogs when we would take a trip and the dogs always came back stressed and anxious. Being able to let them stay in the comfort of their home and have Ashley drop in to take care of them was such a wonderful peace of mind! She made it so easy for us to know they were well cared for! The detailed report cards with photos were great to see each day! I will definitely be booking Ashley again in the future!?”

“Very nice sitter. My 3?dogs intimidated her. But my neighbor helped her get them out of cages w/o growling. My Lab mix Us 84 pounds! Lol! I suggest we see each other again so the next time they will listen better. She did a phenomenal job . I will use HER AGAIN! Stephanie L Jackson”

“This was my first experience with Rover, and it was great. Meep can tend to be nervous and anxious when I get home after an absence, but with Melissa taking care of her, this was the calmest I have ever seen her. Meep LOVED her, and recognized, as do I, Melissa's kind heart and great love for animals. She sent me pics of Meep each day, so I could have peace of mind knowing Meep was in very good hands. I highly recommend Melissa as a pet sitter!”

“I recently booked Brandy and couldn’t be happier. She scheduled a meet & greet first so my two fur babies could feel safe with her, which I really appreciated. She’s always on time, friendly, and you can tell she truly loves my pets by how she interacts with them. I’ve already booked her again and will keep using her. If you want someone reliable and caring, definitely choose Brandy!”

“Dewayne was absolutely amazing. Actively communicated how the visits were going, sent picture and videos of my pup during each visit. Went above and beyond when we had issues with the door lock and garage. He always has a great attitude and treated my pup as if he was his own. I have complete trust that my dog and house are taken care of by Dewayne. We appreciate your great service, we will definitely book again soon!”

“I booked with Ms. Heather and she was so sweet! She did a meet and greet and sent me lots of updates whenever she came to walk max. It was very last minute and she still agreed and did a great job!”

About: I am a registered veterinary technician with 10 years of experience caring for animals! I am able to administer medications as needed, including injections (i.e: insulin for diabetic animals). I am available Wednesday-Friday and some Saturdays and Sundays. I work part time and stay home with my daughter the rest of the week, so she may be with me for drop ins and walks. I have 10+ years of experience as an RVT and work in a specialty setting, so I am very comfortable with pets who have more complex needs.
“Shayla was so great! Kept me up to date on everything, videos and pictures along with potty breaks were sent! Made my work day a lot less stressful knowing my puppy had had a potty break and some time to run around instead of in her kennel all day! Will definitely use Shayla again!!”

About: I had a a mixed breed dog she lived until she was about 11 years old. She had a heart murmur and a really bad knee so I know how to help support a dog that might have health problems or mobility issues. I have taken care of another larger dog of border collie blue heeler mix that has battled dislocating hips, throwing out her back and cancer. She is 11 now I have worked with a senior Great Pyrenees and I know these aren’t dogs, but I have taken care of multiple rescue animals from anything from fish all the way up to a cat and I have nursed every single one of them back to health so I do have experience giving animals medicines My schedule is a little bit all over the place. I never really know exactly what days I am off or not but as of right now, I should be available between 11 a.m. to about 2 PM but depending on the day I can work later I will make sure that your pet will not get into anything. It’s not supposed to make sure your pet does not escape your house. I will follow your instructions of how you want me to take care to your pet if your pet is to be let outside in a gate I will make sure that the gate is locked and secured if your dog needs to be chained outside. I will make sure that the chain and whatever it is secure to is stable and the dog will not get loose. I will ensure your pet safety if I’m walking your dog or if it’s in your house, I will make sure that no other animal comes after your pet. If I am at your home, I’m not gonna let anybody into your home that you do not personally know and without your verbal consent that that person can enter your home.

I am reliable I am compassionate I am caring and loving I am patient and attentive I am trustworthy and best of all affordable 🐶 I own a business that really just requires my time in the mornings on some weekends. My daughter just started school so I have quite a bit of extra time to give to your little ones 🐾 I live on a large bit of property. If your dog prefers to run around or even enjoy a nice swim in our pond they will have the time of their lives. I also have a fenced in yard and a dog door for them to go in and out whenever they please.

About: Hi, I'm Cassy! As a lifelong dog lover, I understand that pets are family. Over the years, I've had the privilege of caring for four wonderful dogs from their playful puppy days through their senior years. That experience has taught me that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs—and I believe they deserve care that's tailored just for them. Now that my sweet senior dog has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, I have the time, flexibility, and desire to help other pet owners have peace of mind while they're away. Although I miss having a dog of my own, caring for yours is a wonderful way for me to continue doing something I truly enjoy. I specialize in planned vacation and travel care and currently offer drop-in visits, feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, companionship, medication administration, and individualized care based on your pet's specific routine. Whether your pet needs a leisurely stroll, extra patience as a senior, medication on schedule, or a special feeding routine, I'll care for them with the same attention and compassion I gave my own. At this time, I do not offer boarding in my home, overnight house sitting, or recurring daily visits. My focus is helping families who need dependable care while they're away on vacation, traveling for work, or attending special events. I'm a mature, dependable, and trustworthy professional who understands the importance of communication. I'll treat your home with respect, provide updates during my visits, and make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for until you return. I'd be honored to care for your furry family members and look forward to meeting you and your pets! Pet care fits naturally into my schedule because I have a flexible work routine. I intentionally accept only the bookings that I know I can fully commit to, allowing me to provide dependable, individualized care without overbooking myself. I specialize in planned vacation and travel care rather than recurring daily visits, so when I accept a booking, your pet becomes one of my priorities. I schedule my day around their feeding times, walks, medications, playtime, and companionship to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I also believe great communication is an important part of quality pet care. While you're away, I'll send thoughtful updates and photos so you can relax knowing your fur baby is happy, safe, and well cared for. My goal is to keep you informed and reassured without overwhelming you with constant messages. My priority is for you to enjoy your time away with confidence, knowing your pet is receiving attentive, reliable care from someone who genuinely loves spending time with animals. At this time, I provide care in my clients' homes through drop-in visits and dog walking only. I do not currently offer boarding or pet sitting in my home because I have three resident cats who are accustomed to a quiet home environment. When caring for your pet, my goal is to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible. I'll follow your instructions for feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, medications, and any special care your pet requires. I also make time for affection and companionship, because I know every pet has different emotional needs while their family is away. I'll treat both your pet and your home with the same respect and care I would expect for my own, and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your furry family member is happy, safe, and well cared for.
About: I have cared for different animals over the last 9 years or so. I have cared for dogs, cats, pigs and chickens and love doing so! I currently homeschool Monday through Thursday and also clean a house once a week. With that being said, I normally have a pretty flexible schedule. I am able to go feed and water the animals and spend time with them. I can send pictures of the animals to the owners and give them peace knowing their animals are being loved and cared for.
“Shannon is attentive to your pet as if they are her own. She was a very sweet down to earth girl I felt comfortable leaving my fur baby with. Her visits are well documented with cute pics and detailed information about the visit. Her comfortability level with the bully breed was a huge plus! I highly recommend Shannon's services. Feel safe and confident choosing her to care for your pets.”

Ashley's sweet personality and professionalism shine so bright. Our two pups felt right at home with her checking on them regularly while we were away. Her communication was top tier. We really appreciated her quick thinking when a huge storm knocked out a portion of our fence. She went the extra mile to make sure our pups were safe. Thank you Ashley!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
