I have experience with my own pets as well as taking care of pets for friends, family, and neighbors. I also have experience with rescue dogs in my home, although I am taking a break from rescues for the time being (it's so hard to let them go!) I am comfortable caring for pets with anxiety and medical needs such as medication, eye drops, ear drops, and medical crating. With a genuine passion for animals, i can offer care and attention while you are away. My schedule varies so reach out to let me know what you need. I am often available during the day, but early mornings, evenings, and nights are my most consistently available times. I am available to work weekdays, weekends, summers, and most holidays. I am currently not caring for pets in my home but I am happy to come to you for drop-in care, play time, medication management, and of course walks.

About: I (Ella) will be the person taking care of your dogs. I am a 20 year old recent college graduate here at home for the summer to be with family! I have previous experience dog boarding on Rover for about a year, as well as months of experience doing drop ins and walks. In my personal life, I have many years of experience taking care of dogs, including those with special needs. I am comfortable administering medicine and adhering to diet restrictions. I am also very active and comfortable with running with your dog if they prefer when on walks! I will always be very communicative about my availability, and my goal is to make you and your dog as comfortable and happy as possible. Whether it’s a high-energy pup or a chill senior, I’m confident in providing safe, loving, and reliable care. I'm currently a college student, so I'll have plenty of time to spend with your doggies. On weekdays, I'm generally available from early morning to evening time (7am-8pm). The exception is Wednesday evenings, where I am not available after 6, and Tuesday nights after 2pm. Preferably I like to be free on the weekends, but I can always make exceptions. When caring for pets in their home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine in a familiar, comfortable environment. I handle feedings, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions with care and attention to detail. “Jackson (my cocker spaniel) is VERY suspicious of new people. It takes him a long time before he is comfortable. I let Lawence know this upfront and he assured me that it would be fine. Before Jackson started his walk schedule, Lawrence met up with Jackson and myself to introduce himself. Jackson was still quite suspicious of this new person but was not hostile or mean. Lawrence started walking Jackson and at first, Jackson was hesitant to go walking with this stranger. After about 2 weeks, Jackson knows Lawrence, even knows his car when he pulls up and wags his stub in anticipation of his walk. I appreciate that Lawrence took it slow and let Jackson define the terms of their relationship....LOL.”

My schedule is completely available for overnight care at your home, daily drop-ins, single visits, or walks. Please ask me about any accommodations you may need and I will see if I can provide them. In your house, I am happy to follow any instructions about leashed or unleashed time on walks or in your backyard, will feed on your schedule, and can spend time with your pet as much as you need. I am happy to try and accommodate any changes you may need to make, give updates with photos, and tell you any behavioral or medical changes as soon as possible.

We highly recommend Megan, and we will continue to have Megan watch Finley. This was the longest we spent time away from Finley Magee. It was hard for us to leave your 4-legged baby and I know it would be hard for our pup too. Megan put us at ease with her detailed progress reports during each visit. I’m a large animal lover by nature, but also love the little ones with the big personalities 🥰 I currently have two fur babies of my own- a 5lb Turkish Vann cat named Bobbi and a 90lb goofy Plott hound named Summer. Our cat loves dogs but she sleeps most of the day so she’s not an issue.
