About: My daughter and I have cared for animals for many years and truly love what we do. For the past two years, we’ve volunteered with the Richardson Animal Shelter, helping care for dogs with different personalities and needs. We fostered a Pit Bull Terrier mix and helped her find a loving forever home, which was an incredibly rewarding experience. We also rehabilitated a shelter dog who was underweight and anti-social due to past trauma, helping her become healthy and trusting again. At home, we have a sweet 2-year-old Maltipoo who is treated like family. We’re experienced with basic dog training, building routines, and making pets feel safe and comfortable. We’ve also provided overnight and extended puppy care for my daughter’s teacher on several occasions. In our home, pets are treated like family in a clean, safe, and low-stress environment where they have space to relax, play, and feel secure. We maintain a consistent routine for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and rest so pets feel stable and comfortable. Because we have experience volunteering with the Richardson Animal Shelter and fostering/rescuing dogs with different temperaments, we are especially mindful of anxious, shy, or high-needs pets and adjust our approach to help them feel safe. We always prioritize safety, secure handling on walks, and careful supervision during all interactions. About: I have grown up with animals and currently have two dogs, Charlie and Chelsea! I grew up wanting to be a vet, which resulted in me learning all that I could about animals. I have so much love for them and would have a hundred of my own if I could! I am very responsible and respectful of what owners do and don’t want their pets to do. I have had both small and large dogs of my own throughout my life, so I am comfortable with all sizes and breeds. I work from home most days and have a flexible schedule. I love to get out and be active as much as I can during my week! I also love to relax, so an animal who just needs some company is great too. I have a fenced in yard at home and two friendly dogs (a Lab and a Border Collie Mix). They love to be outside and play.
