Lynnette is a lifesaver to me. I urgently needed a sitter for Vika. When we first met, Lynnette looked very calm, kind and loving. It seems she has so much experience with dogs and can do her job easily! She took great care of Vika. I am definitely coming back to Lynnette whenever I need a sitter for my dog!

I’m so glad the host of the vacation rental were staying at recommended Rover. We had plans to go out for part of the day and I wasn’t comfortable leaving my 1 and 11 year old dogs unsupervised in a rental home where they’re not totally familiar - and I wanted to be sure the house was kept in order while we were gone. Though it took me some time to understand the workings of the rover app, I did ultimately connect with a lovely and very conscientious dog sitter, Katie R. She provided helpful communication ahead of the visit, was right on time and very friendly. Katie kept us apprised of how our pets were doing, even sent some pictures, so we could also see how well they took to her. Our only regret is that we live too far away to use Katie for our dog sitting needs on a regular basis!

About: Hi! I'm Aileen, a 20-year-old who's always had a special place in my heart for all animals. Growing up, I was the go to pet sitter in my neighborhood, and I've spent many hours caring for and bonding with both. I've volunteered at animal shelters, where I helped with feeding, socializing, and walking the dogs, and I've fostered a few kittens, too. I'd like to think that i'm a calm and gentle person, friendly but a little reserved, so I tend to connect really well with animals. I truly believe every animal deserves love, patience, and a safe space, and I love being part of that care. I’m currently working part time at a daycare, and going to school full time as well. Depending on my work schedule, i’m available most days after 1 pm. Whenever taking care of any animal, I make sure to keep my attention on the animal as if they were a child. I make sure to follow any requests provided by the pet owner to ensure the best service possible.

About: I've loved animals ever since I was a little kid. I grew up with dogs and have 3 senior rescues at home who still act like puppies. In 2020 I began my journey with cats when I adopted my rescue cat Pams. She is now 6 years old and still thriving alongside my dogs and her new kitten brother. I am comfortable taking care of animals in any age group, and can administer medication, bottle feed, or whatever else your fur baby needs. I try my best to help animals in any way I can, and was able to TNRV all the strays in my neighborhood this year! I look forward to meeting you!! Services Offered: Dog Walking House Drop-Ins House Sitting ** For your pets safety, dog walking will only be offered early mornings/evenings unless your fur baby has pet shoes to keep their paw pads safe from heat! I work full time but have full availability Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays! If you need me for a full weekend reach out and I will gladly work something out. As a house-sitter I will ensure to respect your home, and your pet's routines. I will provide your pet with walks/playtime and ensure I provide a safe comfortable enviroment for them while you're away. About: Your pup will always be in my company, since I’m always at home. Lots of outside time and walks through my neighborhood’s local forest trail. Your dog(s) will have their own space in my kitchen, separate from my dog’s personal space. I am a responsible homeschooling mother of an easy-going, 6 year old daughter ( she loves animals). I am a ‘Stay at Home’ Mom, currently homeschooling my 6 year old daughter through a fantastic charter school. I make my own schedule and can easily accommodate your pet’s schedule into my own. My daughter is very well-behaved, with an easy going disposition, which makes animals love her. My husband also loves all animals, but will not be care-taking for your animals, as he is works full time. I will be the full-time caretaker of your beloved fur-friends. I have 2 portions to my property . One side is fenced on a hillside with a small astro-turfed area for potty breaks. The other side is open with a small water fall and full Astro turf. This gives dogs lots of time outside. I will also keep your dog in the kitchen, where I spend the majority of my time cooking and teaching my daughter kindergarten + computer work at the kitchen table. Your pup will also enjoy the walks around the neighborhood, which includes a lot of trees and nature.

About: Caring for animals is my calling in life! I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Humboldt State University. As a dedicated veterinary technician and docent for the Big Bear Zoo, I have the privilege of providing exceptional care to a wide range of animals and pets. My commitment to the wellbeing of all animals goes beyond just a job; it's a lifelong passion! I'm currently working full time at an emergency animal hospital off the mountain. However, I work double shifts to allow myself some days off during the week and look forward to making some new furry friends! Caring for pets in a client's home is a responsibility I take very seriously, ensuring their comfort, safety, and happiness while their owners are away. My approach to in-home pet care includes: Meet and Greet: I begin by meeting with the client and their pet(s) to establish a rapport and understand their specific needs and routines. Feeding and Hydration: I adhere to the provided feeding schedule, ensuring that pets receive the right amount of food and fresh water. Special dietary requirements are noted and followed diligently. Exercise and Play: Regular exercise and playtime are essential for a pet's physical and mental well-being. I engage in activities tailored to the pet's age and energy level, whether it's a spirited game of fetch or a leisurely walk. Medication and Health Monitoring: If the pet requires medication or has specific health needs, I administer treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. I also monitor their overall health and report any concerns to the owner promptly. Grooming and Cleanliness: Maintaining the pet's cleanliness is a priority. I provide necessary grooming, including brushing, bathing, and litter box cleaning, to ensure they are comfortable and hygienic. Affection and Companionship: Pets often thrive on companionship and affection. I spend quality time with them, offering cuddles, petting, and positive reinforcement to alleviate any separation anxiety. Security and Home Care: I maintain the security of the client's home by ensuring all doors and windows are locked, and I handle any mail or packages. This gives clients peace of mind while they're away. Daily Updates: Regular communication with the client is crucial. I provide daily updates through texts, photos, or videos to keep them informed about their pet's well-being and activities. Emergency Preparedness: I am trained, experienced and prepared for unexpected situations, including medical emergencies. I have contact information for the client's preferred veterinarian and am beyond qualified for basic pet first aid. Respect for Property: I treat the client's home with the utmost respect, leaving it as clean and tidy as I found it. Overall, my goal is to create a stress-free and nurturing environment for pets in the client's home, allowing them to thrive in their familiar surroundings while their owners are away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 746 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Green Valley Lake. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Green Valley Lake. On Rover:

  • 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
