“Oh gosh, please no worries on time. They started this road project early this morning we had no idea. So happy they were good for you. There is a dog poop container where you would park your car to the right but no worries I’ll walk around later to put up. Really appreciate you !!! Thank you”

About: I enjoy caring for cats, dogs, and even reptiles. I currently have 4 cats and a bearded dragon of my own. I have been around animals my entire life. I am able to give medicine to cats and dogs. I am able to walk dogs as well. I work full time M-F. I am available mostly on weekends for dogs but I can do drop in for cats and other animals that need only once or twice drop ins during the week. I prefer to care for a dog in their own home but will assess each request for caring in my home. My cats are not fans of dogs but I am able to separate them into their own space. I am patient and kind when caring for animals. I won’t leave a dog outside on its own and will play catch to help tire them out. I will work with the owner’s instructions for care for feeding times and anything else.
“Wendy is super sweet and loving to my pup, and really communicative! Highly recommend her! Also she is one of those people who gets that your animal is your baby- she’s not here for a quick buck. She’s a true animal lover!”

“Courtney is the best! She always takes the best care of my cat. I have been traveling a lot recently and knowing my pet is in the best hands is one less thing to worry about.”

“Allison was very helpful in taking care of our two senior cats. Normally when we’re gone they’re very stressed out but we came home to two very relaxed kitties. Thanks Allison!”

“Marley loves her sitter. Shelli does a great job, especially with applying her thyroid medication in her ear twice a day. It takes a gentle hand and an understanding of animals. She has been so helpful and gave us a stress-free trip away knowing Marley is being cared for. Thanks again Shelli. We hope to use you in the future.”

About: What sets me aside from the average sitter is I don't just think of your animals as just your pet but as your own human kid. I treat it as it's equal and deserves my eyes and not my phones camera lens. Your pet, and everyone's pet human child deserves a fresh mind. I can help them even achieve any goals/tricks. I'll come with a handful of treats ready to start our day. Pet Care fits in my routine by a breeze. I'm a stay at home mom of 2. I wake up early prepare breakfast, pack lunches, get them ready and off to school they go. I get home do a little morning clean up as I do that I can easily exercise and play with your pet. After the morning clean up (which can always wait till later) I'm ready for your pet and Mine's adventure. At my home I have a fenced in yard, that's a decent size for small or large pets. I am close to dog friendly walking parks/trails. My neighborhood has a sidewalk that wraps around the block so its a nice for morning stroll.
“Hadlie did a great job watching our two cats. She was very communicative the entire time she was caring for them and very professional. Hadlie also went above and beyond helping to water our Christmas tree and shovel part of the drive while we were away. We are so appreciative of her willingness to help in all these ways! Highly recommend!”

About: Hi! My name is Kylee, and I'm a reliable and experienced pet caregiver with 6+ years of dog handling and training experience, 13 years of cat care experience, and 5 years of caring for guinea pigs and other small animals. I am also CPR and First Aid certified for cats and dogs, and I prioritize safety, comfort, and consistency in every visit. I prefer in-home pet care only (at the client's home), as I have my own pets at home, including 5 dogs and 3 cats. My services include drop-in visits, feeding, walks, playtime, litter box and cage cleaning, medication administration, puppy care, and overnight stays. I have experience with large and small dogs, leash training, basic obedience reinforcement, and high-needs care routines. I treat every pet like my own and focus on maintaining their normal routines while owners are away. I am dependable, punctual, and communicative, and I provide attentive, compassionate care so pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their own home. My schedule is completely open on the weekends and Wednesdays, and I work part-time Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. But I am available after 4:30 those days. I am only comfortable caring for your animals in their home as I have 5 dogs and 3 cats of my own. All animals are treated as they are my own babies.

About: Although I’m new to Rover, I’ve always been a huge dog lover and have cared for dogs through friends, family, and neighbors over the years. I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and giving dogs plenty of love and attention. I’m also very dependable and will treat your dog like they’re my own. My background in healthcare has taught me to be patient, responsible, and attentive to details, and I’ll always prioritize your pet’s safety and well-being. I’ll be moving to Wyoming on October 5 for a short-term job as I prepare for graduate school, and I’ll have a very flexible schedule leading up to that. From September 16 through October 5, I’ll have plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I’m happy to work around your dog’s routine and will make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. I’m available for both weekday and weekend bookings during this time. Your dog’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. I’m a very responsible and attentive person, and I understand that every dog has their own routine, personality, and needs. I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, crating, and anything else your pet needs. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel comfortable knowing your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: Dogs seem to love me. Personally I've had 3 dogs in my lifetime, and have taken care of many with a business. I am an animal fanatic. I can guarantee that your pet will be in safe hands with me. I am very pet friendly and you can trust that I will take care of any needs that your pet has. I'm currently working full time but I'm looking to get out of the position I'm in to be a pet caregiver as well as a house cleaner. I currently have 2 dogs and LOTS of snails. I am religious when it comes to pet feeding, grooming and any medications. These animals are our family. We may not have them our whole life, but they have us their whole life. We need to make it the best one they could ever dream of. (I don't know about dog psychology but I can assume they dream. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to explain my dog running in his sleep 🤣😉)
About: Hi there, I’m Brittany. Animals make me happy. When I see a pet, I see a child. They are a member of the family. They have the sweetest souls and biggest hearts and I wouldn’t treat them any other way. I have one dog and I was raised with 3 dogs and 2 cats. I have always been an animal lover and I always will be. Every day I take my dog on at least one walk and many times I walk him multiple times per day. I treat my fur babies like family and how I would want to be treated. I am not only here to help you during your busy schedule but to become a friend to you and your fur baby. To house sit during longer durations, I can travel to anywhere. I would need to bring my golden retriever with me if your pets like to socialize and make new friends, he loves other dogs and gets along with them great, he is very social and has been to many dog parks and households with pets, if not I may be able to find someone to take care of him for me during that time. For drop in visits, I can assist on my own or bring my dog for some company. I am also available on certain days for doggy day care and boarding. When I have a dog stay with me I treat that dog like my own and it would have an amazing friend to play with. Pets are allowed on furniture, I have treats, toys, tons of dog beds, and a fenced in yard. I will also take your dog out on walks and play fetch or tug to burn energy. If you choose to book me, thank you for trusting me and I won’t disappoint you! My schedule is very flexible, and I would love to help accommodate what you need help with, whether that is daily or weekly. I am always picking up new work bookings. I have booked a lot off of rover so I have additional referrals if you would like them! I will treat your animals and home as if it were my own, with love, trust, and respect. I have helped out for many years taking care of people's pets and homes. I have many references.
“Chelsea is a reliable and caring pet sitter who goes the extra mile when taking care of pets. She was able to help us on short notice and we felt very assured that our cats were in good hands. She also gives great updates on the pets and responds quickly whenever we contact her. We plan to schedule more pet sitting with her and I would definitely recommend her to others.”

About: I believe in individualized love, attention, and activity for each and every animal! I have two sweet cats at home who are my entire world. I also have 9 years of experience with my own dog (training included) and 3 years of experience as a dog walker. Comfortable with special needs, medication administration, etc. Available most weekday mornings and evenings. I work remotely several days of the week and may be available for mid-day visits depending on my schedule. Usually open availability on weekends. I will follow whatever safety protocol you have set for your animals, whether that be crating, baby gates, setting the alarms, etc. My priority is that you and your pet feel comfortable while you’re away.

About: Hello! My name is Keirsten and I have over 6 years professional experience in the pet care industry. I have worked in doggy daycares, veterinary offices, and I’m currently a dog groomer. Pets are my one true passion in life, and I love each and every one like they are my own. My years in the pet care industry have made me knowledgeable and confident in my abilities to properly care for your fur baby, safety and comfort will always be my #1 priority. I am well prepared for anything your pet may throw at me, whether it’s an anxious 100lb German shepherd, a spicy 5lb chihuahua, a neurotic German Shorthaired Pointer (like my own baby at home!), a senior spicy kitty who takes daily injections, etc! I am also trained in CRP for both canines and felines, and trained in oral and injection medications. No pet is too big, too small, too crazy, or too old:) I am currently working as a dog groomer, so my schedule varies. Most days I am off by 5pm, but some days is 7pm. I can always offer boarding in my salon (if your pet is comfortable in the environment) if you want your pet with me 24/7:) Unfortunately, I do not offer services in my home. However, with my 5 year experience in professional pet care, I have the knowledge to recognize when your pet is scared, hungry, happy, angry, sad, fearful, playful, etc and I know how to handle each and every unique situation. For example; your pet is playful, so we play! Your pet is fearful, so we take it slow and be sure to not cross any boundaries. Your pet is tired, so we cuddle! Etc.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
