“Amy was so kind and welcoming to our pups! We had car trouble on our way back home and she was super understanding and supportive- it was great during a stressful time to know we didn't need to worry about our fur babies. She texted us updates frequently- and asked questions about their diet/sleep situations. They came back home happy as clams! Thanks Amy”

“Garrett and Monica are the BEST with our Koe. They’re so accommodating and love him like he is their own. Koe loves coming to stay at “Zeus’ house” and is always so happy to arrive. Thank you for all you both do!”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs for the past 30 plus years. I’ve walked them, bathed them, made their food, cared for them when sick and loved them. I have a lovely, safe walking neighborhood for dogs, a fenced yard, and everything I would need for a dog to have a cozy stay with me. I currently work 100% remote and have time during the day for walks and playtime. I have dog beds for nap time and toys for them to play with. I also own several leashes. I have a fenced yard that’s very safe. I don’t plan on watching more than one dog at a time. That way I can devote all my time to the one who’s staying with me.
About: Suz and Brian have both been lifelong pet parents. Suz worked for a pet hospital for years and almost all of our pets over the last 20 years have been special needs rescue babies.(diabetic, blind, deaf, liver shunt, dementia, cancer, etc) This means we are well versed in special needs care for your special needs kiddos. Pills, SubQ injections, SubQ fluids, bandage changes, glucose testing, Suz works remotely from home, available to your pet as needed through the day for loves, medicine, etc. Brian currently works out of the home but will be retiring soon and will then be 100% dedicated to caring for the pets of our clients! We are available for meet and greet, home checks, and drop off/pick up almost any time day or night and will work with you to schedule what is best for you and your pet(s). Ensuring you are comfortable with who is caring for your pet(s) is second only to your pet(s) safety and well being in our care! Cat boarding: since we have a cat of our own and we know other cats may not be ooen to meeting her (she is ok with others.. mostly ignores them) we have a dedicated cat boarding room where she cannot go near them. Our yard has no grass (rock and astroturf) so no nasty ticks riding our coattails into the home to come in contact with your kitty. Brian is available for drop in care or overnight boarding in your home for dogs and/or cats. This is what we prefer for our own pets when we are away, maintaining their routines etc as best as possible, so want to be sure you have this option too! All of our personal pets are fully vaccinated and receive regular flea treatment.
“Elizabeth was really kind and understanding! Made sure my cats were comfortable, and was very patient and accommodating when I had to book extra days. Thank you so much to you and your family!”

“Daniela is so sweet and kind. My dog got along great with her sweet doggy (and other visiting pals) and he had lots of fun at her house for a week! Daniela sent so many wonderful photos and updates and I was so at ease knowing he got such great care - so much love and attention!”

“Jen was an awesome sitter for our sweet Golden, Captain. She was welcoming and kind from the start and I could tell how much she loves her Labs and felt a kinship that Captain would be welcomed into the retriever pack! Although I was nervous because he hasn’t really been around kitties, he ended up doing fine and Jen assured me he adjusted well and she sent great updates and photos while we were away! I highly recommend Jen!”

“Aimee and Andrew have a huge fenced yard, a playful Doodle and 2 great kids that made me feel like Jackson was visiting friends, rather than just being boarded. I really appreciated daily updates and cute photos that let me know my Jackson was having a great time. Highly recommend to anyone needing a dog loving family setting for their dog when they travel.”

“Allyse is an amazing dog sitter. She was very friendly and attentive to the needs of my old dog. Her backyard is large, her dog is super sweet and her house is very comfortable. I really appreciated how quick and responsive she was to all of my questions. I would definitely use her services again, and would highly recommend her to my friends. Thanks you, Allyse, for taking such good care of my Eddy!”

“Julianne and Ragen let Milo into the center of their lives for ten days while I traveled. He got lots of lap time, snuggles, treats, walks, and got to sleep on their bed, which made him comfortable when I couldn't be with him. They noticed a scabby wound and messaged, asking my permission to treat it; it healed well. Daily, I got a report on Milo; many days a pic, too. This was only the second time I was away from him this long. I was privileged to feel he was so safe and loved. It let me enjoy my trip without worry. Julianne and Ragen have had their own small dogs. They knew how to care for Milo and did it well!”
“I can’t even begin to express how grateful we are to have found Dorthy to watch our sweet fur baby, Pippy! They took fantastic care of her with updates and photos the entire time. Our sweet girl took a doggy vacation while we were away with nature walks, fun with the other dogs, play time, long naps, and brushing her out. She was one happy girl all weekend long! Thank you so much for loving our girl and playing with her. It brought us a lot of comfort knowing she was having a blast and safe. I am excited for our next trip and more puppy vacations for Pip! This was better than leaving her with our family!”

“Denise & her husband were wonderful with Henry. They gave him lots of love and snuggles, and I could tell when we picked him up that he had been well cared for. Denise will always be our first pick for our boarding needs!”

“Anika takes great care of our active alert doodle-mutt! Rosie is happy and tired, calm and relaxed — Anika provides a fantastic place where dogs can be safe and have fun — thanks so much!!”

“Serena and her family did an excellent job taking care of our 4 month old puppy. She was given lots of attention and walks each day. And the update messages and pictures were a great way of keeping in touch during our first time away from this new member of our family. Thank you for making us feel comfortable with our choice of sitter!”

“Absolutely amazing experience with Anyssah! She kept me informed at all time and assured me he was doing well as this was my first time leaving him with someone he didn’t know. She also accommodated to his needs and just made this stay so much easier for us to go through. I will absolutely book her again if needed. Thank you Anyssah!”

Once again Amy has proved to be a wonderful person to leave Olive with when I can’t take her with me. This time, Olive wanted to stay with Amy when I came to pick her up. It made me a little sad that Olive wasn’t eager to leave. But, it reassures me that I have found the best person to watch my precious girl when I need someone to take care of her.

Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
