About: I have pet sat dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, snakes, ispods, and mantises for neighbors & family on and off for the past 14 years. I have also given pets their medication via oral syringe and tablets, as instructed by their owners. One of my own pets has chronic kidney/ urinary issues so I know how important it is for them to receive the best care possible. Although I may be small in stature, my experience with dogs has been anything but limited. I've taken on the challenge of walking and agility training dogs that weigh more than I do, proving that it's not just size that matters but also heart and dedication. One of my fondest memories from high school involves creating an agility course for our neighbor's bernedoodle puppy, Lambeau. This energetic ball of fur was full of mischief, often clawing at doors, chewing on furniture, and brutally attacking his toys. Understanding his need for stimulation, I devised a series of fun challenges that not only focused his energy but also built a special bond between us. Setting up that obstacle course was an adventure in itself—using cones, tunnels, and homemade jumps, we transformed my backyard into a vibrant training ground. The best part was watching Lambeau navigate the course with increasing confidence, eagerly responding to my encouragement and praise. By using treats as positive reinforcement, he learned quickly that good behavior and hard work would be rewarded, which significantly curbed his destructive tendencies. Watching him thrive both mentally and physically filled me with joy and validated my belief in the power of training and outdoor activity as vital tools for a dog's well-being. The experience solidified my commitment to fostering healthy, happy relationships with dogs, proving that with the right approach, even the most energetic puppy can become a more balanced companion. I am a college student who recently moved to the area and am have a pretty open schedule. My hobbies include crocheting, sewing, gardening, and taking care of my pet Guinea pigs. I love staying active by playing Pokémon Go and would love to care for your dog(s) while going on adventures! I walk around the residential areas and always walk in crosswalks, as safety is my priority.
About: We’ve been hugging dogs since we were kids, and we’d love to hug yours! Penny, Ciel, and our family enjoy hosting furry friends - we take care of them and our pups play hard with them! Please note: *We cannot currently accept bookings for unneutered/intact male pups *We host a large, rambunctious group of pups throughout the week - pups who prefer quiet, calm environments may not have an enjoyable experience here, and we will happily recommend sitters who may be a better fit for your family Hosting pups is our full-time job - your pups become part of our family while they’re here! We spend our days with our guests, playing and chatting with them, and can attend to everyone’s needs regularly throughout the day. Our 24/7 dedication to giving your pups the best experience while away from your home makes us a great choice for day care and socialization opportunities! We accept bookings between 7am and 7pm; we will consider bookings outside these hours on a case by case basis, potentially for an additional cost. Our availability for picking up and dropping off is limited but we aim to be as flexible as possible. Reach out with your needs and we’ll work out an arrangement that works best for all of us! Our entire yard is fenced in - there’s room to run full speed! We can adjust feeding schedules as needed to accommodate your dog’s diet. In good weather, pups are free to go inside and outside at their leisure. We don’t require pups to use crates while we’re gone or overnight, but if you prefer your pup be crated at any time, we’re happy to do that and have multiple available. Male pups will wear a belly band for the first 24 hours of their stay, at minimum - this soft, absorbent band fits around their belly and attaches with Velcro on their back. Belly bands reduce marking behavior, especially in unneutered males. You may bring your own, but we can supply them, free of charge. Using belly bands keeps our home calmer, cleaner, and fresher by eliminating marking behavior and reduces anxiety for future pups by giving them less reason to want to mark over the scent of previous pups. We have indoor and outdoor security cameras in many locations that can be helpful to review if any safety situations arise. The safety of all of our pups is very important to us! (They’re also great for catching fun footage!)
“Anna is the best! Friendly and communicative, goes above and beyond. I’m always grateful and relieved when she is available and my dogs are always excited to spend time with her when I’m away. Can’t express more gratitude for Anna!”

About: I have had pets my whole life! I have experience with cats, dogs, horses, chickens, fish, frogs, turtles, and small furry critters such as hamsters and rabbits. I Have cared for new born puppies and kittens when the mother was not able and elderly pets that need a little extra love. Pets that are very energetic or relaxed. Pets that are having a hard time medically and need fluids or pain medications. I have cared for wounded animals and healthy ones. I'm available most days during work hours. When your fur baby needs love and care during the day while you are away I can be there for pets, walks, snacks, medications, a simple check in and more. Every animal is it's own self and all need different care. When pet sitting while friends or family are at work or on trips I always make sure the pet has a good long session of play, affection, walk or forms of exercise, clean and full water and food dishes. Check for any accidents that need cleaned up or litter boxes that need tending. Then always be sure to double check the yard and home locks are secure before leaving.
About: I have had many pets of my own since I was child. I love all animals and am very patient and loving with all animals. I am experienced with bathing dogs, and I have a poodle mix and understand the importance of brushing long haired dogs. Your animal will be safe with me and loved on as if they were my own. I am currently employed working 3-4 days a week. I have every other weekend off of work and have 2-3 days off during the week, depending on the week, so that allows me to help people out not only during the week but weekends as well. Note: I do have my prices set a little bit higher so that way I can cover gas to and from, because we all know how high gas prices are right now. I have 3 dogs of my own who are all under 2. All 3 are energetic and require a lot of patience while going on walks, and getting their daily exercise in. I have a fenced in yard where I allow my dogs to run around while I am keeping a close eye on them. I even have a kiddie pool that I set up during the summer that I allow my pups to play in.
“Laurie is an excellent person with whom to entrust your dog. She has a confident yet easy disposition that is comforting. She consistently communicated all I wanted to know regarding her time with my dog. Highly recommend!”

“Laura is so kind and patient with our nervous dog. She always provides feedback about any concerns and is very responsive and communicative when scheduling and timing out visits.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities for over 15 years. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m attentive, patient, and great at reading animal behavior, whether that means giving energetic dogs plenty of exercise or providing calm, gentle care for seniors or anxious pets. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I work part-time and set my own schedule, which allows me to be very flexible and accommodating to my clients’ needs. I’m able to adjust my availability for walks, drop-ins, or extended care, including weekdays and weekends, and I prioritize clear communication to ensure your pet’s routine is followed as closely as possible. I have a fenced-in yard and prioritize a calm, safe environment for all pets in my care. I have two cats who are kept comfortably separated with their own space when dogs are visiting, as I understand transitions can be challenging. I’m very mindful of introductions, happy to crate dogs if needed, and always follow owner preferences and routines to ensure pets feel secure and well cared for.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, I currently I have two dogs, and three cats that I take care of along side my family. I grew up rescuing strays with my grandpa and finding them forever homes I currently work full time in fast food. My hours are randomized from 11am until possibly 2am. I would be able to take care of the pet before my shift would begin, as well as be granted a break to see the pet during the day/night. I treat my pets like family. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
