“Sarah & Todd are amazing pet sitters. Sarah’s communication is great. I felt very comfortable bringing out pets into their beautiful home. She sent lots of updates and was very communicative.”

“Kimberly was great! It was my first time using this app and leaving my dog in the care of a stranger. But my pup was right at home as soon as she arrived. Kimberly sent the cutest photos and updates. I knew my pup was in good hands. And when I went to pick up my pup, she was excited to see me but went back inside like she was totally down with not leaving.”

“Pam was great with my dogs. She gave consistent updates and even contacted me about a concern with one of the dogs. She and her family were caring and the dogs seemed to enjoy their time with her. I would definitely use her again when the need arises.”

“We are very fortunate to have found Sarah. Our pup, Honey, was a rescue that had been mistreated. It has made her highly anxious with new experiences. Honey needed a sensitive and experienced person. Sarah put us right at ease, kept us informed the entire time and took expert care of our girl! Highly, highly recommend!!!!!”

“Karen watched our 8 month old golden retriever for a week and he had the best time! Karen was great with communication and pictures. We would recommend Karen for dog boarding!”

“I would HIGHLY recommend Vernita. She goes above and beyond to make sure your pet is well cared for and is having a fun and enriching time while you’re away. She sent me so many cute photo and video updates of my dog throughout his stay, helping to put my mind at ease. I will absolutely book Vernita again for pet sitting in the future!”

About: I have experience with all kinds of pets. From reptiles, felines, and mixed breed pups, to Pit Bulls and German Shepherds. I love them all 🫶🏾 I work from home for a minimal contact tech company. After my little ones leave for school at 8:30 AM, my schedule is completely flexible. We miss having fur babies around and will treat them as part of our family. I have mild mannered boys 8 and 6 that love nature and animals.
“Kari is so wonderful with the animals she cares for. I could tell by the way my dog Ruger acted as soon as he entered her home. Usually when I pick him up, he let's me know that he's not pleased I was gone, but after a stay with Kari he is totally calm and happy. Thanks for taking such great care of my boy!”

“Ashley was absolutely amazing with Ark! He is a young, high-energy puppy who can definitely be a handful, but she took such great care of him and kept me updated throughout his stay. It was clear that she was patient, attentive, and genuinely cared about his well-being. Ark came home happy, healthy, and tired—which is not an easy accomplishment! I also really appreciated how welcoming she was and how comfortable she made the whole experience. I would trust her with Ark again without hesitation and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter. Thank you so much for everything, Ashley!”

About: I have had animals from the time I was a toddler. I have cared for small and large dogs, cats, lizards, rabbits, fish, gerbils, and various farm animals. I will love and care for your animals like my own! I have plenty of availability to care for your animals, just call me or send me a message and I can get to you asap! I will respect your home and make sure the animals are cared for as well as I care for my own! If you need me to clean up anything, I can do that as well. A clean environment always helps me have a fresh mindset!
“It was comforting to know that Pepper was in a comfortable space, room to run outside, with plenty of people and pup friends to keep him occupied while we were on vacation! Kyle and Lyndzie sent lots of updates throughout the week too! Gave us peace of mind and we would definitely book with them again!”

About: I have experience fostering dogs with the animal shelter APL and have a small toy poodle of my own. He is very friendly with other dogs and loves to play. I love dogs and would love to have the opportunity to watch dogs and take care of others! I am open to watching dogs for a couple hours, a day, or even a couple of days if that is what is needed. My house has a small backyard and I am also available to do drop ins at the dogs own home. The area is very quiet and would be comfortable for another dog to be in. If I am caring for someone else's dog I plan on being home for the time I'm watching the dog so that it will be well taken care of. I’m currently only working part time so I have plenty of time to spend with your animals. I am available early mornings or early afternoons to give your animal a break during the workday! I am also available any time on the weekends. I have a fenced in yard and 2 friendly dogs to keep your dog company. I have a toy poodle and a golden retriever. I can also do drops in to walk or play with your dog as well!
“This was our first time using the Rover app, so it was our first time with Megan. After meeting her, I had such peace. The dogs had fun at her house, and I love the updates she gave me! We will definitely be using her again!”

“Mary Ann did a great job for our first time with Rover. She was reliable, timely and did a great job with our cat, Pepe. Loved the pictures, the updates and overall, she filled all of our needs and expectations. So glad we found her!”

About: While I mainly grew up with dogs in my family home, my grandma has always had cats (first Leila, and now Miss Cali). When my grandma was ill for several months, I was performing daily duties for Miss Cali. I’ve now moved away from home, but I still watch several of my classmates’ cats when they go out of town! I’m happy to do everything from playing with kittens to chilling on the couch with seniors :)

“Fantastic as always! Laura is absolutely amazing with our cat Axel and she has earned our trust in our home overnight cat sitting for us. She is also a wonderful human overall and pays so much attention to detail when caring for your pets. 10/10 as always. She is transparent, accountable and compassionate.”

About: Hi I’m Tatum! I currently have 5 cats with my partner. I recently moved to Illinois, originally from California! My partner and I raised 3 of the cats since birth. 4th cat was rescued around 6 weeks old, and last cat was adopted from shelter at 5 months old. 3 of my cats are very social and 2 are very shy (1 having psychological difficulties). My energy is always going up and down all day long, catering to each of my cat’s attention needs. I have not experienced cat sitting on Rover yet, but I have cat sat outside of Rover! I’ve cared for cats of all types of behavioral traits and issues. I’ve also cared for cats with dog siblings. I have only experienced elderly cat once, but I have multiple kitten experiences. Can’t wait to care for your furrbabies! I’m very flexible and open to different needs. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

About: I have had cats all my life! Long hair, short hair big or small all need care, from pets and scratches to clean boxes and play time! I have cared for new born kittens when the mother was gone and elderly cats that need a little extra love.

“This was my first time using Rover or any pet sitting service for that matter and I am extremely pleased! I rarely give 5 stars for anything but I'd give Sarah more if I could! She was quick to respond, very accommodating, and very attentive to my furbaby's basic, social and medical needs. Not only did she take great care of him, she kept me informed and sent me pics of him having a good time! Can't thank her enough, it was a real peace of mind knowing my furbaby was in good hands!”

“Neva was absolutely fantastic with our puppy. From the start, we felt completely comfortable leaving her in Neva’s care. She was prompt, communicative, and clearly treated our pup like her own. We will most definitely be using Neva again and highly recommend her!”

About: 🐾Free Fair Parking!🐾 If you’re coming from out of town to visit the Illinois State Fair, we’d love to host your pup for the day! We’re also offering FREE PARKING in our driveway for two guests who would rather uber over instead of navigating the fairgrounds traffic! We’ve been hugging dogs since we were kids, and we’d love to hug yours! Penny, Ciel, and our family enjoy hosting furry friends - we take care of them and our pups play hard with them! Please note: *We cannot currently accept bookings for unneutered/intact male pups *We host a large, rambunctious group of pups throughout the week - pups who prefer quiet, calm environments may not have an enjoyable experience here, and we will happily recommend sitters who may be a better fit for your family Hosting pups is our full-time job - your pups become part of our family while they’re here! We spend our days with our guests, playing and chatting with them, and can attend to everyone’s needs regularly throughout the day. Our 24/7 dedication to giving your pups the best experience while away from your home makes us a great choice for day care and socialization opportunities! We accept bookings between 7am and 7pm; we will consider bookings outside these hours on a case by case basis, potentially for an additional cost. Our availability for picking up and dropping off is limited but we aim to be as flexible as possible. Reach out with your needs and we’ll work out an arrangement that works best for all of us! Our entire yard is fenced in - there’s room to run full speed! We can adjust feeding schedules as needed to accommodate your dog’s diet. In good weather, pups are free to go inside and outside at their leisure. We don’t require pups to use crates while we’re gone or overnight, but if you prefer your pup be crated at any time, we’re happy to do that and have multiple available. Male pups will wear a belly band for the first 24 hours of their stay, at minimum - this soft, absorbent band fits around their belly and attaches with Velcro on their back. Belly bands reduce marking behavior, especially in unneutered males. You may bring your own, but we can supply them, free of charge. Using belly bands keeps our home calmer, cleaner, and fresher by eliminating marking behavior and reduces anxiety for future pups by giving them less reason to want to mark over the scent of previous pups. We have indoor and outdoor security cameras in many locations that can be helpful to review if any safety situations arise. The safety of all of our pups is very important to us! (They’re also great for catching fun footage!)

“Tristen was always prompt and timely wirh her check ins and sent me adorable pictures and videos. My cat was very well taken care of! Would definitely recommend her.”

“Shadia maintained timely communication with us which took away a lot of the anxiety of leaving our pets for a week. He took our dog out for a walk twice a day even though that was not a part of our request and provided additional help when we needed it. He also offered to help with other tasks even though we did not ask for it. I am happy we got we got the opportunity to work together and I would gladly work with him again.”

About: I have pet sat dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, snakes, ispods, and mantises for neighbors & family on and off for the past 14 years. I have also given pets their medication via oral syringe and tablets, as instructed by their owners. One of my own pets has chronic kidney/ urinary issues so I know how important it is for them to receive the best care possible. Although I may be small in stature, my experience with dogs has been anything but limited. I've taken on the challenge of walking and agility training dogs that weigh more than I do, proving that it's not just size that matters but also heart and dedication. One of my fondest memories from high school involves creating an agility course for our neighbor's bernedoodle puppy, Lambeau. This energetic ball of fur was full of mischief, often clawing at doors, chewing on furniture, and brutally attacking his toys. Understanding his need for stimulation, I devised a series of fun challenges that not only focused his energy but also built a special bond between us. Setting up that obstacle course was an adventure in itself—using cones, tunnels, and homemade jumps, we transformed my backyard into a vibrant training ground. The best part was watching Lambeau navigate the course with increasing confidence, eagerly responding to my encouragement and praise. By using treats as positive reinforcement, he learned quickly that good behavior and hard work would be rewarded, which significantly curbed his destructive tendencies. Watching him thrive both mentally and physically filled me with joy and validated my belief in the power of training and outdoor activity as vital tools for a dog's well-being. The experience solidified my commitment to fostering healthy, happy relationships with dogs, proving that with the right approach, even the most energetic puppy can become a more balanced companion. I am a college student who recently moved to the area and am have a pretty open schedule. My hobbies include crocheting, sewing, gardening, and taking care of my pet Guinea pigs. I love staying active by playing Pokémon Go and would love to care for your dog(s) while going on adventures! I walk around the residential areas and always walk in crosswalks, as safety is my priority.
About: we have pet sit by our selves and together for friends in family since we were in junior high! I have taken care of dogs through pregnancy and during birth. I have potty trained puppies and had them until they passed of old age. We work 4-5 days a week and are looking to help pet owners who need someone to drop by during the week or stay on a weekend. We can come by frequently to let dogs out to potty or give kitties some extra attention. we will put food out at the correct times, make sure water bowls are full, give treats if allowed, and scoop litter boxes if needed! we would love instructions on what you and your pet like best!
“Laura is so kind and patient with our nervous dog. She always provides feedback about any concerns and is very responsive and communicative when scheduling and timing out visits.”

“Anna is the best! Friendly and communicative, goes above and beyond. I’m always grateful and relieved when she is available and my dogs are always excited to spend time with her when I’m away. Can’t express more gratitude for Anna!”

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats from the time I was a newborn. I have had small, medium, and large dogs throughout my life (and bonus cats at my grandma’s house!). As a medical student living away from home, my classmates have come to rely on me to pet sit (dogs & cats) and house sit for them any time they’re out of town. It’s an absolute treat for me to spend time with animals again! I’m comfortable helping to train puppies, snuggling seniors, and playing with every age in between. As a medical student, my schedule is generally pretty flexible. I will almost always be available to house sit from at least 5pm-6am. On most days, I can take a break at lunch to run over and check on pets or go for a short walk. Depending on my rotation, I may have entire stretches of 3-4 days off! That may sound like a lot to plan around, but I’d love to work with you to accommodate both our schedules as best as possible! Because I grew up with dogs of all ages and sizes, I’m very comfortable with dogs of different temperaments, care needs, and crating requirements. Cats with high-care needs will likely be out of my comfort zone, but I’m always eager to learn something new!
“Samantha is amazing!!! She is responsive and great with Carter on walks. He comes home tired and happy!!! I have to say that my boy really looks forward to the walks with his new bestie. Samantha, I appreciate you!!”

If you have a dog who loves to run (or who needs to), I would love to have them join the crew. I also do graphic design work specifically for people and their animals. Happy to produce some pictures for you for an additional fee! I generally can do morning and PM visits for the pets! My schedule is NOT a 9-5, but I work around what I need to. Spending time with the pets is my favorite work I do! I treat every animal as if they were my own. That means lots of play time, attention, and overall just good fun. That being said, if you have house rules, then we will follow them accordingly.

About: Hi, I’m Erica — a highly experienced animal care professional with over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for pets and farm animals of all kinds. I’m trained as a veterinary assistant, including assisting with surgeries, administering medications, and caring for senior, disabled, and post-operative animals. I specialize in calm, consistent, in-home care for pets who do best staying in their familiar environment. Many of my clients have animals with medical needs, anxiety, blindness, mobility challenges, or strict routines, and they trust me to provide compassionate, detail-oriented care while they’re away. I’m also very comfortable with multi-pet households, rural properties, and farm animals. Having grown up on a farm myself, I understand the responsibility that comes with caring for animals large and small, as well as maintaining a home and property with respect and reliability. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind, keep your pets safe and happy, and treat your home with the same care I would my own. -20+ years caring for animals of all species and temperaments -Veterinary assistant training, including surgery assistance -Medication administration (oral, topical, injections if required) -Special-needs pets (blind, senior, diabetic, post-surgical, anxious) -Farm and rural animal care -House sitting and extended stays -Potty training and behavioral reinforcement -I’m calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and deeply respectful of routines — especially when animals depend on consistency. Pet care is intentionally woven into my daily and weekly routine, not added on as an afterthought. I structure my schedule around the animals in my care so they receive consistent attention, enrichment, and calm companionship throughout the day. This allows me to be fully present for feedings, walks, playtime, medication needs, and individualized routines, while also offering flexibility for pets who need extra time, patience, or reassurance. Caring for animals isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s what my days are built around. Safety, trust, and comfort are the foundation of every service I provide. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I prioritize calm, consistency, and close supervision. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs so their care feels familiar and stress-free. In my home, pets are welcomed into a clean, secure, and peaceful environment with plenty of space to relax and play. Supervised outdoor time is provided in a safely contained area, and all interactions are thoughtfully managed to ensure each animal feels comfortable and respected. In a client’s home, I treat the space with the utmost care and follow instructions precisely to maintain the pet’s normal routine. With over 20 years of hands-on animal care experience, including veterinary assistant training, I am confident administering medications, supporting senior pets, and caring for animals with special needs. I maintain clear communication, provide regular updates, and care for every pet as if they were my own — with patience, attentiveness, and genuine love.
