About: I'm an experienced pet sitter who loves spending time with dogs. I'm patient, reliable and, I treat your pet like family. I have owned and worked with dogs all my life (I'm 65) and feel this is a natural fit as I near and enter into retirement. I'm currently a full time pastor of a Lutheran congregation. The congregation is used to me bringing dogs with me to work. However, depending on the pet and the request of the owners, I can leave pets at my (or your) home and check in on them regularly. I am with them overnight. I do not have a fenced yard in my Condo so will walk them on a leash. I have my own fur baby, Annie, who absolutely loves other doggy companions. I work with each pet and client individually to ensure that we are meeting your needs. Crate trained animals are welcome but I've sat for many who roam free in the condo.

Olivia is amazing!! I was on my way back from vacation and a friend had been watching my dog but left my house that morning. Well my flight got delayed due to weather and I needed help fast since my poor pup had been alone for hours! I reached out to a few sitters that unfortunately couldn’t take a last minute booking but Olivia responded promptly and said she could be there in an hour!! She advised me that my pup had been sick and had threw up on my new carpet. Well when I got home I was so happy to see she cleaned it and there was no sign of a stain! I will use her again AND recommend her to my friends!

About: Hi there! I’m a full-time teacher with a lifelong passion for animals. Growing up, my home was always filled with pets from dogs, cats, and rabbits to fish, hamsters, and birds! I’m a proud pet parent to my sweet Pug and a very spunky orange tabby cat. I’ve personally used Rover for my own pets and absolutely loved my experiences. For over 10 years, I’ve been dog walking and pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors. My profession has given me endless patience, a strong sense of responsibility, and an eye for safety. I treat every animal in my care as I would my own family. Whether your dog wants to get outside and explore on a walk or your cat needs company and cuddles, I’d love to help make sure your adorable pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away! My routine gives me wonderful, reliable flexibility to focus on your pets! I’m available early mornings, late afternoons, evenings, and all weekend long. Best of all, I have summers and holidays completely off, my schedule opens up fully for daytime walks, extra cuddles, and dedicated care when you need it most! Safety is always my highest priority! I stay alert, follow your exact routines, secure all doors and gates, keep dogs on sturdy leashes, and ensure every pet feels happy, safe, and loved.

About: I’ve always loved animals and understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. I’m patient, reliable, and committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own. I pay close attention to instructions, communicate regularly with updates and photos, and make sure every pet receives the care and attention they deserve. I work entirely from home, which gives me a highly flexible schedule to dedicate to pet care. I can easily accommodate potty breaks, mid-day walks, and constant companionship throughout the week. My weekends are completely open for extended playtime, boarding, or overnight house sitting. When watching pets in your home, safety and respect for your space are my top priorities. My home is a cozy, pet-friendly space where your dog's safety is my number one priority. While I do not have a fenced yard, I always keep dogs securely leashed during all outdoor bathroom breaks and walks. About: Hi there! I’m Belma — a 27-year-old nurse with a flexible schedule and a huge love for pups. I work 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week, which gives me plenty of time on my days off to care for your pet! I have a 5 year old golden retriever of my own and have experience raised two puppies. I’ve also spent years volunteering with animal shelters in the Willoughby–Eastlake area and grew up around all kinds of pets — from birds and cats to hamsters and dogs. I’m primarily offering drop-in visits and dog walking. I’m very active and love going on walks — so why not bring your furry friend along for the fun? I’m available most weekdays and cover both the Cleveland and Columbus areas depending on my workweek. Let me know if your pet has any special needs or medications — I’m happy to accommodate. Looking forward to meeting your four-legged family member! I work 3 days a week, 12 hour shifts so I am off 4 days a week currently and very flexible on those days. My work schedule does vary week to week however and I am both in Cleveland and Columbus during those times so we can discuss this further Currently looking for those needing assistance with dog walks throughout the day and drop in visits for potty breaks and shorter walks while you’re at work! No home care at this time.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats ever since I was a kid. I rescued my first baby, Dory, a little over 5 years ago and my heart has never been more full. Since then I have rescued another dog and 2 cats. Pet care is an essential part of my daily routine. Taking care of animals is second nature and something I’m truly passionate about. My animals are my world and I am excited to share that love with even more animals. I have a fenced in yard that my 2 dogs love to spend time in. They have an overflowing basket of toys that always seems to be scattered across the house and yard. We take them for walks around the neighborhood and every so often we take them for a hike.

About: I have been taking care of dogs ever since I was old enough to. I grew up with German Shepherds and have spent years training, loving, and looking after them. Beyond my own pets, I’ve also cared for the animals of friends and neighbors. I’ve been around animals my whole life, and giving them love and attention has always come naturally to me. Pet care is my full-time focus right now, so I have plenty of availability to give your pets the time, attention, and care they deserve! I have a large yard where dogs can enjoy outdoor time with plenty of space to roam. For safety, I use a secure tie-out stake and lead, so your pet can play while staying within a safe area under my supervision. Pets stay indoors overnight in a cozy, clean environment where they’ll feel safe, loved, and cared for like family!

About: Hello! My name is Maria and I am very excited to meet your furry friend! I’ve raised 2 large dogs and 2 small dogs so I am comfortable with any size pet. I also worked at a doggie day care center where I worked with all size dogs for 8 plus hours at a time and facilitated friendly play so I am able to handle multiple dogs or cats at a time! I live in the mentor area but am willing to travel as well. Please let me know if this is the type of sitter you are looking for! I work as a nurse so my schedule is pretty flexible. I care for my own pets with walks, park visits, swimming, agility and lots of playing. I am always cautious when taking care of pets in my home or another persons home. I understand that allowing someone into your home can be nerve racking so I am always sure to communicate as much as I can with home owners and follow their specific instructions to ensure the visit goes as smooth as possible.

About: I've been around animals since I was very young and love all of them. They are part of my family and will be treated as such while they're with me. I enjoy going on walks and keeping pets happy and entertained. I believe it's very important to know your fur babies will be in great hands when boarding with me. My beloved dog Mario is no longer with me; he lived for 13 wonderful years and was the best dog anyone could ask for. I haven't been able to get another one since then. Watching and caring for other pets makes me happy and brings me joy. I currently work from home so my schedule is very flexible throughout the week. Working from Home is a blessing and has given me the flexibility to care for others pets. I do not have a fenced yard, but I live in a development that gives me plenty of opportunities to go for walks. As long as they come with a leash we will be walking.

Melissa went above and beyond my expectations. I really appreciated her taking her own time to come meet Romeo and let me show her where everything was before the actual visit. I was really nervous leaving Romeo and she did a great job communicating and doing everything that was asked over the few days and was very flexible with last minute changes to the schedule. Would definitely book again!

As usual, we knew that our dog was in good hands with Cindy. He’s a little uncertain with new people but he’s always happy when Cindy arrives at his house for a visit. She is always on time and he loves their walks together. If walks don’t work out (he doesn’t always like nighttime walks) she will spend a little extra time with him at home. I would definitely recommend her for your pets!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
