About: My name is Shania, I’ve been around all animals all my life and from when I was very little I knew in my heart I wanted to take care of them. I have been a veterinary technician for 5 1/2 years now. I graduated with my associates in veterinary science in 2022. Animals have always had a special place in my heart, and caring for them isn’t just something I do—it’s who I am. It has never been a job, but a calling. I’ve worked with pets of all kinds, from the playful to the shy, the healthy to those with special medical needs. That experience has taught me how to care with both skill and compassion. I started my journey with Rover as a way to continue doing what I love while also being present to raise my daughter. This opportunity allows me to give your pets the same kind of love, attention, and care I give my own family—because that’s exactly what they deserve. With me, your pet will be treated like one of my own, whether it’s playtime, snuggles, or administering medications. I look forward to welcoming your furry loved one into my care! I have four animals of my own. I have one cat and three dogs two of my dogs are littermates. I have a huge heart and I’m willing to add your pet to it. I’ve worked in veterinary medicine for 5 1/2 years but took time off to be a stay at home mom and raise my 6 month old daughter. I miss seeing my clients and their pets on the daily! This allows me to continue doing what I love but also being able to raise my daughter. I am free all day every day so shoot me a message let’s chat and get your babies taken care of! Safety is my biggest priority. I promise to give your pet all that they need, including a good, and positive experience. All animals, all shapes, ages and sizes welcomed ❤️ it doesn’t matter if your pet is spayed or neutered I accept them all!

“kaesea took amazing care of Talos and ensured that he got plenty of excercise. She even played with our kitten a bit. We will definitely be using her in the future!”

About: I am a lifelong animal lover with extensive experience caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, and livestock. My career began as a veterinary technician, and I continue to hold a certified veterinary technician (CVT) license. With a strong foundation in animal health, I am highly skilled in administering medications and medical therapies prescribed by veterinarians, ensuring pets receive expert care. My passion for animal welfare led me to work in animal rescue, where I handled dogs of all temperaments, including shy, nervous, and behaviorally challenged rescue dogs. This experience gave me extensive knowledge in dog rehabilitation and behavioral training, helping even the most timid or reactive dogs build confidence and trust. I later transitioned into Animal Cruelty investigations, where I successfully forwarded hundreds of cases for criminal prosecution, ranging from misdemeanors to felonies. My dedication to thorough investigations resulted in convictions in every single case I worked on, holding abusers accountable and securing justice for animals. However, due to the emotional toll of witnessing such cruelty, I chose to focus on working with pet owners who treat their animals as cherished family members. I am passionate about providing safe, compassionate, and personalized care for every pet. Whether walking, sitting, or transporting, I prioritize safety first, strictly following walking guidelines and practicing canine first aid when necessary. I am also experienced in handling pets with special medical or behavioral needs, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for. When you entrust your pet to my care, you’re choosing a highly experienced and skilled professional with a deep commitment to their well-being. What makes me different from other sitters? ✅ Veterinary Expertise: As a certified veterinary technician (CVT), I am qualified to administer medications and medical therapies prescribed by a veterinarian. Whether your pet requires oral medication, injections, or special treatments, they will be in expert hands. ✅ Puppy Training & Senior Pet Care: I have extensive experience in puppy training, helping young dogs learn essential skills and positive behaviors. For senior pets, I provide gentle, attentive care, catering to their specific needs, including administering medications and offering extra comfort and support. ✅ Behavioral Rehabilitation: With a background in animal rescue and rehabilitation, I specialize in working with shy, nervous, and behaviorally challenged dogs. I have the skills and patience needed to help them build confidence and trust. ✅ Canine First Aid & Safety: Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I am trained in canine first aid and follow strict safety protocols during walks and playtime, giving you peace of mind. When you choose me, you’re choosing reliable, professional, and compassionate care from someone who treats your pet like family. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! 🐾 Providing exceptional care for pets isn’t just part of my job—it’s part of my daily and weekly routine. I dedicate my time to ensuring pets receive personalized attention, whether through scheduled walks, drop-in visits, or extended pet-sitting stays. • Morning & Evening Walks/Visits: I start and end my day with dedicated walks or home visits, ensuring pets receive regular exercise, potty breaks, and companionship. • Midday Drop-Ins: I’m available for midday visits to provide potty breaks, playtime, or administer medications, keeping pets comfortable while their owners are at work. • Daily Updates: I make it a priority to send photos and videos to keep you informed and connected with your pet. • Flexible Scheduling: Whether you need regular walks, occasional drop-ins, or extended pet sitting, I work around your schedule to provide consistent, reliable care. By integrating pet care into my daily and weekly routine, I am able to offer consistent, attentive, and flexible service, ensuring your pet’s needs are always met. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to ensure they feel safe, comfortable and loved in their familiar environment. I tailor my care to meet each pet’s specific needs and routine, reducing stress and promoting well-being. - PERSONALIZED PET CARE - • Feeding & Hydration: I follow your pet’s regular feeding schedule and ensure they have access to fresh water at all times. • Walking & Exercise: I provide stimulating walks and playtime for dogs, keeping them active and happy. • Medication Administration: As a certified veterinary technician, I am experienced in administering medications and medical therapies prescribed by your veterinarian. • Enrichment & Companionship: I engage with pets through play, cuddles, and attention, keeping them mentally and emotionally stimulated. • Comfort & Routine: I follow their daily routine, providing consistency and reducing anxiety during your absence. - HOME CARE SERVICES - • Mail & Packages: I bring in mail and deliveries, keeping your home secure. • Plant Care: I water indoor or outdoor plants as needed. • Daily Updates: You’ll receive photos and/or videos of your pet during each visit, keeping you connected and reassured. About: We’ve been a dog lovers our entire life. We’ve been taking care of dogs for over 40 years. Most people call us dog whisperers. We love all kinds of dogs; big, small, seniors and puppies. I work from home so my schedule is very flexible. Any time during the day or early evening works very well for me. Always happy to help. My first priority will always be making sure the dog(s) have what they need (food and water per instruction). Spending time with them to let them know they are loved and cared for is also very important.

“Michael did great with my dogs ! We hired him for daily walks, and he was super punctual every day. I have a young husky and an old Pomeranian, so the group couldn’t be more different. Even with the differences, Michael was great! He took the husky on quick runs, and made sure they were tired enough before taking them back home. My dogs loved him. I would recommend his dog walking service to anyone.”

About: *I do work from home and can work from your home. My schedule is very flexible!* Let’s face it, everyone on Rover loves animals (or else we wouldn't be here...right?) We all know how much our animals mean to us. They are our family; our soulmates and best friends for life. What happens when emergencies arise, or we want to use that PTO at work. Or, what happens if you just need help? I am here to help you and your fur babies! Although you may be nervous reaching out to others regarding your animals, rest assured, I understand. For my entire life, I had family and friends who would help me watch my dogs. I didn't have to rely on a stranger for anything. If I was going on vacation, I would call my mom for help. If I needed someone to do drop in visits if I stayed late at work, I would call my friend who lived down the road. Not until recently have I begun to reach out to others for help with my fur babies. Before I moved to Texas, I did my first cross country move 26 hours away from my hometown in Minnesota to Spring Hill Florida, where I knew absolutely no one and had no support. If it wasn't for Rover, I wouldn't have had any help with pet sitting. After meeting an incredible Rover sitter, I have decided to extend my assistance to anyone in need. I had such an incredible experience with my Rover sitter, and I hope I can give the same to others and their pets. My love for animals doesn't stop with just myself and my animals, it goes beyond to others and their animals. There has NEVER been a time where I didn't go above and beyond for an animal in need. At the end of 2022, I saw a little blue heeler on the euthanasia list in Texas. After 36 hours straight of pleading and making calls to rescues and fosters, I was able to arrange a short term foster for him; and then 2 weekends later I drove 16 hours one way to bring him home (keep in mind this was well before we made the move to Texas. At the time I knew no one in Texas. It was a challenge working from states away trying to coordinate a foster and a rescue!) He now has his own spot in our bed every night where he no longer has to worry about being abandoned. That following spring, I coordinated a foster/rescue of another blue heeler. I arranged transportation from Texas to Mississippi, and then I helped get him from Mississippi to Florida, where he eventually got adopted to a family in south Florida. I am very involved with rescue work, here in Florida and in Texas and Minnesota. It has been a lifelong passion of mine to help those in need (and not just animals as well.) In addition to my passion and sacrifice for animals, I have many years of experience with many different species of animals (farm animals, small and large breed animals, many different breeds of dogs and feline friends) I have professional training and animal handling experience. During my time in college, I worked at the local Petsmart and gained valuable training through their training internship. I have had an internship with my hometown large animal veterinarian and received training on medication and handling. I am very fortunate to have work from home employment which in turn, allows me to have a very flexible schedule! I can take longer breaks, start and finish when it is best for me, and can work on weekends if needed. I can work from your home, which allows me to stay for longer visits. This has been verified with my employer before becoming a sitter; working from somewhere other than my own home will not be an issue. Earning trust is very important to me. Letting a dog become familiar with you is where I first start. Whether it be letting them come to you on their own terms, or playing with them, whatever they need to see that I'm not a threat, I provide. Keeping control of animals outside of their home is essential for safety and even trust. If the yard is not fenced in, a leash is always something I use. When inside, I make sure the pet feels at home and is comfortable. Trust and environment go hand in hand. If the dog is in a stressful and fearful environment, trust won't grow. The right environment is essential for the trust to sprout; and it is my duty to provide a safe environment right from the start with any animal.
