2. Stephanie W.
“We were so nervous about leaving our senior German Shepherd with hip dysplasia with someone for the first time, but Stephanie put our minds at ease. She's incredibly knowledgeable about the breed and the disease. She knows how to administer medication and how to safely work with our dog. She sent us pictures and videos every day and let us know how our doggie was doing, which really put our minds at ease. We will definitely be using her again!”

About: *I do work from home and can work from your home. My schedule is very flexible!* Let’s face it, everyone on Rover loves animals (or else we wouldn't be here...right?) We all know how much our animals mean to us. They are our family; our soulmates and best friends for life. What happens when emergencies arise, or we want to use that PTO at work. Or, what happens if you just need help? I am here to help you and your fur babies! Although you may be nervous reaching out to others regarding your animals, rest assured, I understand. For my entire life, I had family and friends who would help me watch my dogs. I didn't have to rely on a stranger for anything. If I was going on vacation, I would call my mom for help. If I needed someone to do drop in visits if I stayed late at work, I would call my friend who lived down the road. Not until recently have I begun to reach out to others for help with my fur babies. Before I moved to Texas, I did my first cross country move 26 hours away from my hometown in Minnesota to Spring Hill Florida, where I knew absolutely no one and had no support. If it wasn't for Rover, I wouldn't have had any help with pet sitting. After meeting an incredible Rover sitter, I have decided to extend my assistance to anyone in need. I had such an incredible experience with my Rover sitter, and I hope I can give the same to others and their pets. My love for animals doesn't stop with just myself and my animals, it goes beyond to others and their animals. There has NEVER been a time where I didn't go above and beyond for an animal in need. At the end of 2022, I saw a little blue heeler on the euthanasia list in Texas. After 36 hours straight of pleading and making calls to rescues and fosters, I was able to arrange a short term foster for him; and then 2 weekends later I drove 16 hours one way to bring him home (keep in mind this was well before we made the move to Texas. At the time I knew no one in Texas. It was a challenge working from states away trying to coordinate a foster and a rescue!) He now has his own spot in our bed every night where he no longer has to worry about being abandoned. That following spring, I coordinated a foster/rescue of another blue heeler. I arranged transportation from Texas to Mississippi, and then I helped get him from Mississippi to Florida, where he eventually got adopted to a family in south Florida. I am very involved with rescue work, here in Florida and in Texas and Minnesota. It has been a lifelong passion of mine to help those in need (and not just animals as well.) In addition to my passion and sacrifice for animals, I have many years of experience with many different species of animals (farm animals, small and large breed animals, many different breeds of dogs and feline friends) I have professional training and animal handling experience. During my time in college, I worked at the local Petsmart and gained valuable training through their training internship. I have had an internship with my hometown large animal veterinarian and received training on medication and handling. I am very fortunate to have work from home employment which in turn, allows me to have a very flexible schedule! I can take longer breaks, start and finish when it is best for me, and can work on weekends if needed. I can work from your home, which allows me to stay for longer visits. This has been verified with my employer before becoming a sitter; working from somewhere other than my own home will not be an issue. Earning trust is very important to me. Letting a dog become familiar with you is where I first start. Whether it be letting them come to you on their own terms, or playing with them, whatever they need to see that I'm not a threat, I provide. Keeping control of animals outside of their home is essential for safety and even trust. If the yard is not fenced in, a leash is always something I use. When inside, I make sure the pet feels at home and is comfortable. Trust and environment go hand in hand. If the dog is in a stressful and fearful environment, trust won't grow. The right environment is essential for the trust to sprout; and it is my duty to provide a safe environment right from the start with any animal.

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals growing up. I’ve had multiple dogs and cats along with a chinchilla and guinea pig. Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved animals, and animals seem to love me back! I love taking care of animals which has resulted in family and friends asking me to pet sit their animals when they are away. I’ve had experience taking care of puppies and kittens, along with elderly dogs and cats. I can love and care for your pets of any age, size and kind! Your pets are in loving, safe hands with me! Im currently in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. My weekdays are completely free but some weekends I am working for the military. I can work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights! I have my dog and cat living in my house with two crates. I have a big backyard with fencing. I let them outside about every two hours. I feed them once in the morning and once at night. My dog is a senior dog so I have to change her diaper whenever she’s inside.

I would highly recommend Shaley for taking care of your "Fury" family member.”

16. Tasha B.

“We have an old duffer, Bo, who is just a sweetheart. We have a youngster, Oreo, who is anxious, hyper and easily startled. Both boys love Tasha and the weekday walks with her. She makes sure to give a report each time and includes a picture or two. The boys are always happy in the photos. Tasha is conscious of the hot weather and how that affects Bo. She makes suggestions for alternate times and options to protect him. We highly recommend Tasha for any service. We have just loved knowing our boys are cared for and even loved.”

17. Jennifer Lynn R.

“This is my second time using Jennifer and I’ve already booked her services again for the next time when I’m out of town. Her flexibility and availability to work with my schedule has been absolutely amazing. She is great at sending updates and notifying me when she’s on the way to my house and every important detail about my pets.”

18. Torey C.
About: I've been taking care of dogs since I got my very own when I was just 8 years old. From that young age, I developed a deep love and understanding for these loyal companions. Over the years, many of my family and friends have trusted me to look after their pets, knowing they'll be in good hands. It's always been a joy and a privilege to provide the care and attention they need, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away from home. I am a registered nurse with a flexible schedule, as I only work three days a week. This gives me plenty of time to dedicate to other things I love, like taking care of pets. I can easily be available to provide the care and attention that pets need without any scheduling conflicts. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a clean, cozy space with toys and comfortable bedding. I follow their feeding schedule, ensure fresh water, and give them plenty of exercise and playtime. In a client's home, I maintain their routine, follow their specific instructions, and give lots of attention and affection to keep them comfortable and happy.
