About: I started off taking care of small animals, but then became trained as a kennel attendant and enrichment specialist in my growing career in animal care. I wanted to offer more to my local community with the current skills I have, along with learn and grow with every pet and parent! I’m aware of how dogs communicate with each other with body language and have been trained to break apart a fight, even before a fight could start.

About: I've grown up with pets ever since I was little. I've been trusted even from young ages to walk, feed, and clean up after dogs. I've never had a bad experience and I'm always willing to encounter any and every kind of dog out there with lots of love and care! I have my own pet at home, had him for 10 years. Even after so long, it's so easy and even fun sometimes to do the little things for your pets like feeding them, walking them, and just making sure you spend some quality time with them! There's never a moment I don't want to be around my pet, or any pet for that matter! I always think the key to good pet care is real love and attention. Watching for what your pets want and giving them it will make them happy. If it's attention, bring on the cuddles! If it's a walk, let's do it! And that goes for pets that aren't mine as well. I always care for them like they're mine, and will pay attention to what they want as well as what their owners know is best too!

About: Ive had dogs all my life, my family always had a couple dogs no matter what happens. I come from a big family who loves a lot of house and companionship. And dogs make the best companions. I will take extra good care of you loved one and I will make sure you are in great hands when I take care of them! I have school Monday through thursday but I have time in between classes to run home and walk them if need be. I work the weekends 3pm to 11pm Friday and satruday, then Sunday 7am to 3pm I will take great care to make sure they are comfy and have everything they need. I will play with them as much as they want and I will ensure that they're safe

About: NEWLY RELOCATED: Welcome to The Hardy-Berndt Ranch! Our family adopted our first dog together back in 2010. Since then, we have adopted many more, fostered almost forty dogs together, and love having extra heartbeats in our home. We appreciate dogs of all sizes, shapes, breeds, and ages with a soft spot for shy dogs, big dogs, and seniors. Our resident dog, Bosley, is a friendly sort and enjoys a romp with well-matched playmates. Dogs who enjoy the company of others will be welcome to visit in our home and be with our resident dog with supervision. We also have two dog-loving kids who enjoy helping out with our "visitor dogs" by playing, reading to them, and all the cuddling they could want. Having fostered several dogs with challenging behaviors and understanding how important it is for them to be safe and comfortable, we welcome dogs who may need a little time time to “warm up” or prefer plenty of space. We would discuss this with any clients to ensure the most comfortable option for your pet(s). For dogs working on social skills or with specific training needs, our family will gladly discuss with you and do our best to reinforce the training you are working on at home. Our household is committed to helping visitors feel comfortable and receive the best possible care while you travel. We look forward to meeting you and your beloved pets! Our home life centers around our children and pets so we are home more often than not. Visiting dogs are a welcome part of our home life and the kids love meeting new canine friends (and seeing their favorites come back again!). We primarily offer care for dogs in our home. This allows us to integrate them into our routine when it works for them and their families.

I (Maddie) have grown up with dogs and cats my entire life and have always been hands-on with training. My grandpa has been breeding huskies since before I was born so dogs have always been a large part of my life. . I’m confident working with high-energy and large breeds, and I’m especially passionate about giving puppies the structure, love, and attention they need. I previously worked at a doggy daycare which has given me plenty of knowledge on caretaking and maintaining a happy and healthy home with multiple dogs. I (Joseph) have always had a deep love for animals—I raised a kitten growing up and worked at a reptile store where I cared for reptiles, fish, and insects before traveling for a year. Together, we’re all about giving pets thoughtful, experienced, personalized care every step of the way. 🐾 We are both currently working from home so normally one of us is always home. If we do leave your pup will never be left alone for more than an hour. Our space includes a fully fenced backyard, a dedicated doggy room with a queen-sized mattress, cozy dog beds, and an XL crate if needed. Ring cameras and security system so we know our house is always watched. Maddie has trained her super well-mannered and playful 6-year-old Siberian Husky since birth who loves making new friends. We only take in 2-3 dogs at a time which is plenty of space for our house. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe with a playground, large field and lots of kids around. We follow your dog’s routine closely and send regular updates so you always feel connected—your pup will be treated like part of the family. 🐾

“I’m so glad I found Jan on Rover! She is a great dog walker. When she came and met our puppy prior to her first walk I could tell she is a big dog lover. Her job is flexible so she is able to be flexible with coming over as well. Great at communicating about the walk/playtime. Our puppy had a stomach bug and she kindly cleaned up his accidents when she came over. I also overbooked her and unfortunately had to cancel a few walks. She was very nice about it. About: Animals have always been a part of my life. They show us so much love. Who are we not to give it back in return. Since the passing of our long time dog (Roc,15) we’ve been watching our friends and family dogs while they’re out of town. In each case the owners return with their dogs a little hesitant about wanting to return home. LOL. I work from home and I have no plans of switching to another job that would require me to go into the office. Therefore, I have plenty of time to play with your big and little babies. I also like to take walks at minimum twice a day. This is a perfect time for your fur babies to stretch their legs. After a nice long walk I clean their paws to make sure they leave the yucky stuff outside. I have a designated area where they can sleep. However, I like to keep them close to me during the day while I’m working. I think it sets them up for a positive visit. They immediately become part of the family. I also have the flexibility to take them out throughout the day. There is a highly recommended veterinarian within a two minute driving distance and maybe a ten minute walk in the event of an emergency.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life and love them so much that I decided to work at a Dog and Cat daycare and boarding facility. I’ve been working there for 2 years and have worked with all breeds and ages varying from puppies to seniors and love comforting them and making them happy while also making sure their parents know they are in good hands! I’m currently working part-time and my availability is flexible. I’m willing to make adjustments as long as I am notified at least 2-3 weeks in advance. Depending on the typical routine of the pet, I will follow it as close as possible to make them feel as comfortable as I can. I will keep them busy by going on walks or by playing with them, or if they have lower energy I’ll just make sure to give them extra attention.

About: I recently adopted my own dog as a puppy during the pandemic and have been a proud dog mom ever since! Besides my own dog I have experience with walking extended families dogs and caring for my friends dog while they were out of town. I'm looking to use the skills and experience I have gained to care for other pets in my neighborhood! I'm currently a new grad school student at UWM (go panthers) so my schedule has a bit of flexibility to it. I have classes in the evenings at the moment and would prefer to do morning walks during the week or anytime during the weekend! While at a clients home I am very attentive to their pet and its needs and make sure to give it the same love and care as I would my own!

About: Having been surrounded by dogs and cats throughout my life, I've cultivated a profound passion for working with these wonderful companions. While growing up, my mother and I had a cat, but most of my interactions with pets occurred through my grandparents. My grandparents have always had dogs and allowed me to be actively involved in their care, including feeding and walking. This experience nurtured a deep passion and profound appreciation for animals, as they are not just our pets but integral members of our family. I embarked on my first job at McDonald's, where I gained valuable experience in providing excellent customer service. In September of my first college year, I began working at the UW Veterinary Hospital as a kennel worker. This role primarily involved cleaning and providing vet students, vet techs, and doctors with the necessary equipment for treating animals. In the following spring semester, I left the hospital and secured a position as a dog caregiver at Dog Haus University in Madison. I was already familiar with dog behavior, but this job allowed me to gain confidence in recognizing a dog's emotions through their body language. Additionally, I currently work at a doggy daycare in Milwaukee called Unifursity in the same capacity, but with the added responsibility of pottying and feeding dogs since this establishment also offers boarding services. I have experience in petsitting my grandparents' dogs in their home while they were out of town and have demonstrated my ability to maintain their routine. Being at the doggy daycare has allowed me to gain new skills such as properly administering the Bordetella and Distemper vaccination, along with solidifying my skill in maintaining a dogs daily schedule when it comes to feeding, pottying and excerise. Regarding my experience in Madison, opportunities that arose did not align with my housing situation since I did reside in the campus dorms. Patience is a quality I've developed over the years, partly due to having younger siblings who can be quite challenging. My grandma's dog, a large German Shepherd with severe separation anxiety, has given me experience in dealing with dogs who are considered "difficult." Working at the daycare, patience is crucial, as some dogs struggle to follow instructions and require consistent redirection. There have been instances of nervous dogs who were initially wary of strangers, but through careful handling, consistent communication, and positive interactions, I gained their trust while maintaining authority when necessary. I am a full-time student, but I have flexibility on times as my schedule isn’t super demanding. I do work Thursdays, Fridays & Sundays, and I’m able to be accommodating around times if needed. While I do have a full house that could be overwhelming to some pets, as a pet sitter in a client's home, I will follow their guidelines closely which may involve feeding pets according to their usual routine, administering medication if necessary, and engaging in play or exercise activities. I aim to maintain a clean and organized space, respecting the home and the pet owner's preferences. The specific services I offer may vary, so I'm adaptable to the needs of both the pet and the owner. Clear communication and a genuine love for animals guide my approach to pet care, ensuring the well-being and happiness of the pets entrusted to my care.
