“Claire was *fantastic*! She took incredible care of our menagerie for five nights/6 days: three mid size dogs (50-60lb); two older, each on a number of medications, and a very spunky 5yo. We also have three cats including a frail 15 yo; and 9 hens. We live in an old farmhouse that is in various stages of renovation - for sure, not the easiest for house sitting. Thankfully Claire was undaunted by the challenge. During our time away, she was terrific providing updates and was super quick with replies when I had the additional need to check in- super reassuring, especially give that this was our first time with Rover, and having a combined housesitter/animal sitter at this house. We returned home to a very content crew - the truest sign of being well cared for in our absence, and the house in perfect order- seemingly better than we left it. We highly recommend Claire, without reservation. She was truly outstanding.”

About: I have been surrounded by animals since I was little, and not just family pets. While I grew up in a golden retriever family (on golden 4 now), I also currently have a cat, have had fish, guinea pigs, and bunnies. I have worked and volunteered at local farms, and bathed, groomed, fed, and played with all sorts of animals, and am equipped for a variety of animal care services. I also have lots of experience with pets of friends and family, and dog sitting, and get along well with all! I am recently graduated and back home in CT for the foreseeable future. I have a very flexible schedule, so please reach out with any requests and I am sure I can make it work. I am very good at tending to animals needs, but also going beyond. I know how to play with animals and help even the shyest feel comfortable, whether with treats, playtime, cuddles, or even my dog’s personal favorite - classical music! I am good with animals who are fearful as much as I am good with animals bursting with energy. I am able to feed dogs and cats and any pet, make sure they always have water available, give them potty breaks and walks, and playtime and rest time as needed. And of course, I am always happy to just sit and keep animals company - they need it as much as we do!
About: I’ve had dogs all my life and have cared for family and friends pets numerous times. Have experience with training puppies, administering medication, bathing and walking dogs. I am currently working part time during the week but am available on weekdays before 10am and after 3pm. I am also fully available on weekends, leaving plenty of time for enriching play and cuddle time for your furry friends! I bring the pets I care for outside for long walks despite the weather and play with them for as long as they like so they can use all their pent up energy. She took very good care of Tika while we were away for a long weekend Tika is an anxious active dog who craves affection and exercise and Maria provided both. We felt very confident that our home and our beloved hound were safe while Maria was in charge. Maria was also willing to take care of putting out seeds for the birds in the garden (this chilly weekend very important) and went to the extra effort to make sure Tika got long walks and made sure to have her wear a jacket and harness! When we returned of course Tika was happy to see us but she also clearly had bonded with Maria We we’re lucky Maria had availability and hope we can book her again the next time we leave town and can’t bring Tika”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for over three years. I’ve had various experiences with dogs and cats. As someone who has a dog of their own, I’ve been able to observe behaviors that’s helped when taking care of other dogs, to understand their needs and wants.
