About: I love all animals, but I am a cat person. I believe that people who say “cats are just fine on their own. Leave out food and they won’t even notice that you’re gone for two weeks“ just fundamentally don’t understand cats. I have lived with shy cats, grumpy cats, sweet dumb cats, aggressive cats, sometimes all at once. They are all individuals and that’s how I approach each one. I don’t believe that any cat wants to be taken out of the place where it feels most comfortable, its home, and therefore I do not offer boarding. I would love to meet your cat in your home and take care of both its basic needs (clean litter boxes, food and water) and its need for companionship and enrichment. Some cats don’t mind a stranger and they’ll be happy to play with me. If your cats are anything like my boys Moose and SquirreI, I won’t even see them because they will hide the moment I walk in the house. That’s fine. I have no problem sitting quietly and allowing them to get used to my presence. Either way, your cats will get the benefit of the full amount of contracted time. I will never just feed, scoop, and run. I have given medications to cats and if your cat needs that, we can discuss it. As we both know, sometimes it is easier said than done so any special requirements are something that we would need to talk about before the booking.

About: I grew up with as many as 5 cats and two dogs at a time. I am familiar with caring for most pets including rodents and fish. I work from home so taking a break to walk or feed pets is not an issue. There is even some extra time to give them some attention too! About: Hi y'all! I am an all around animal lover. My girls and I take any dogs that we are watching on walks with us every night, we have lots of fun. Pets are allowed on the furniture, unless you state explicitly state you don't want them to be. I prefer not to kennel overnight, but there are always exceptions to the rule! I am able to help with puppies and older pups alike; age is not an issue. Please ask any questions you may have for me, thank you so much we can’t wait to meet you! I am currently working part time but I am always available for nightly drop ins or for any early morning stops on my way in. I am always respectful of your safety protocols, gates are always double and triple checked, doors are always checked to be shut correctly. Food and water levels are consistently monitored. Instructions are always followed to the letter.

About: My name is Kristina Leigh. I recently turned 42 years old ( in human years) I have spent the majority of these years sharing my life with dogs. I have experience working as a groomer, working at a pet store, and I also have Emergency 24hr Veterinary Hospital Clinic experience. I took classes at Northwestern CT Community College in the Vet Tech program. I have loved 3 amazing senior sweet rescue pitbulls throughout my adult life, and countless four-pawed friends in between. I am not a stranger to exotic reptiles, amphibians, and small rodents of all varieties. This includes my lifetime passion for fresh and salt water fish care. I am very calm, gentle, and patient when it comes to caring for senior dogs and nervous pups. I have basic first aid pet knowledge, but most importantly I have common sense. I know and understand as a pet parent the worry that often comes with being away from your pet. That being said, I can guarentee that proper care, respect, and instructions will be shown and followed with your animal and within your home. But I am certain that you will feel at ease by how your pet behaves in my presence. I love animals, and they know it. Trust and respect are incredibly important for me when I am choosing who cares for my pet, my dog is my little chubby dumpling princess. The absolute best is what I ask and expect, and that is what I give to your own little buddies. I have my own transportation, and can accommodate new changes in schedule in a reasonable amount of time. My schedule is flexible, and so is my character. I am more than willing to help create a solution when one feels impossible. All you need do is ask. I take the safety of your furry family member very seriously I have training experience walking bouncy puppies, "pully" pooches, and slow older doggos. I am patient, calm, and know my surroundings at all times during the walks. I can help teach your dog proper leash etiquette if it is wanted I absolutely love spending time around dogs and animals. This is my passion, and if I could do this for free everyday, I would. I have plenty of time to put towards the care of animals. I have a detailed schedule that I follow, and everything is organized and on track. I understand that while caring for animals, extreme care must be taken. I have been called over-protective when it comes to my own pets. But it is for their own protection. Unfortunately, they lack the legal rights that humans have. I am very careful when other animals are around (especially leash-less wildcards coming in hot towards myself and the dog I'm walking ) therefore, it is my choice to not allow strangers to pet any animal I am caring for. Similar to working dogs. There are too many negative examples of pets becoming unfairly removed from their homes because of some untrue accusation. An example is this: You've definitely seen dogs " smiling" to their owners. Some dogs just learn that behavior, and it is far from aggressive behaviour in their minds. Now say someone asks to pet your dog on a walk. The dog smiles, and it is misinterpreted as aggression, person is scared, maybe they act in a way that is embarrassing once they realize they aren't in danger. Maybe they create a scenario in their minds where they were bitten and then they want the " violent" dog put down. and then that is where the mess begins. Safety first!
About: I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, birds, chickens, fish, and horses since I was little. Anything from feeding to exercise to medical needs I can handle. As I am taking online classes for college as well as commuting from home, my schedule is super open and I’m ready to care for your animals! I have a large fenced in yard with a park right next door for easily accessible walks and exercise. I also have two dogs who are very friendly and love to be around others. About: I have been grooming dogs for over 18 years, and boarding clients' pups in my home for 16 years. My 13 yr old homeschooled son and I adore all dogs. We have 2 wonderful medium sized girls (Myla 8, Josie 1.5) who love all dogs and people! My career in grooming means I truly 'speak dog' and understand their quirks and needs. I have extensive experience with all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I'm comfortable administering oral and injectible medications, as well as supplements. Our dogs eat a raw diet, so food & water bowls get sterilized after each meal. Since we homeschool, we spend a lot of time at home or close by with friends. My son often has friends over who love to play with dogs. This means we have a great balance of calm & quiet time, as well as active & fun time. Our lovely property has Invisible Fence for about a acre, so any dogs trained on it get to enjoy lots of untethered play time. Every dog who stays gets a temporary ID tag with my address and phone number in case of accidental 'escape' We love couch cuddles, and both of our girls sleep in bed with my son. We also have dog beds everywhere, and crates & gates available when needed.
