“Margaret is a lovely person! Our meet and greet went so well that I knew I found someone who would be a great fit for Bella. Bella was so comfortable, she went and sat right next to Margaret-Bella usually does not respond that way at a meet and greet! She followed all my instructions and was timely. My house looked just as I left it. I will definitely hire her again.”

“Thank God for Rover. Grace is amazing! She is so reliable, trustworthy, and exudes nothing but positive energy. Our dogs loved her instantly and we are SO grateful to have met her. I would never trust anyone but her with our pups and our home. Thank you so much Grace.”

“Kate was amazing! As my first experience with Rover, Kate put this worried pet parent at ease. She answered messages promptly and offered lots of reassurance. Kate followed directions and followed up with specific updates and pictures for each visit. She went above and beyond for our fur babies, even leaving a precious memento! We will be booking again. Thank you!”

“Isabella was amazing! She is kind hearted and our dogs saw that immediately. She took very good care of our pups while we were on vacation, feeding and talking them for a walk. Both our dogs felt comfortable and happy with Isabella as did our family. We look forward to using her again.”

About: Growing up on a farm I raised many farm animals and lots of cats and dogs. I am a retired science teacher and have plenty of time to care for pets. I am boarding cats and will do drop in pet services. I am willing to work with dogs as drop in care if needed along with cat care. I have done drop in cat care for the past 4 years for friends. I have boarded dogs for friends for the last 4 years. I am retired so I can devote time to pet care. I love animals and have 4 of my own. Two dogs and two cats. I have two separate areas in my home. One for cats and one for my dogs. The cat area has a room dedicated to them with their individual cat condos in it.

About: 🐾 What Sets Me Apart from Other Pet Sitters? (PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING) 1. 🏡 Full Transparency & Welcome Visits: I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. That’s why I welcome you to visit my home before your pet’s stay. You’ll be able to see firsthand where your furry friend will be loved, pampered, and kept safe, giving you complete peace of mind. 2. 🔍 Personalized Attention with Limited Pets: While I have the space to accommodate more, I intentionally limit boarding to just two pets per night. Why? Because your pet deserves undivided attention, a low-stress environment, and personalized care. Every guest is treated like family, never overlooked, always loved. 3. ❤️ Home-Based Care with full Supervision: Since I work from home, your pet will never be left alone. They’ll always be under my attentive eye, which can be especially comforting for pets with separation anxiety. Your pet will feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for, as if they were my own. 4. 📸 High Quality Loving Pet Photos: I believe every pet deserves to be celebrated! You’ll receive beautiful, high-quality photos of your pet just like the ones in my profile. I love capturing their personality and making sure you can see how happy and loved they truly are. 5. ☎️ Open Communication During Business Hours: Have questions or just want to check in? You’re always welcome to call me during business hours. I know how important your pet’s well-being is, and I’m here to provide updates and peace of mind whenever you need it. 6. 🧽 A Pristine Environment Your Pet Deserves: My home is meticulously cleaned and sanitized on a weekly basis to maintain a fresh, odor-free, and hygienic environment for your pet. You can see the level of cleanliness in the photos I’ve shared in my profile. You're always welcome to visit! Just a kind reminder, we do ask guests to remove their shoes upon entering to help keep the space spotless. 7. 🌲 Comfortable and Safe Outdoor Space: The backyard has plenty of shade, thanks to seven beautiful redwood trees, keeping the area cool and comfortable. We never leave dogs unsupervised in the backyard for long periods. Most of the time, they will be indoors where they can stay cool and comfortable with air conditioning. 8. 🚫 No Children, Elderly, or Multiple Pets Living in the Home: My home is calm, quiet, and free of potential stressors for your pet. I do not have young children, elderly family members, or multiple resident dogs or cats. This means fewer distractions, a safer environment, and more focused attention on your pet’s comfort and needs. 9. ⛔️ No pool in the property: I don't have a pool, so there's no risk of accidents, ensuring a safe and worry-free environment! 10. 🏥 Pet Care Policy & Rover Guarantee: In the event I notice any issues or concerns regarding your pet's well-being, I will promptly contact you and Rover. If I am unable to reach you, I reserve the right to seek veterinary care for your pet as necessary. Please note that all bookings made through Rover are protected by Rover Guarantee, which provides coverage of up to $25,000 for eligible veterinary expenses. Pricing Adjustment and Puppy Care Policy Please note that additional fees may apply for boarding or daycare services for large, giant, or puppies under 1 year old. This adjustment reflects our commitment to providing a safe, comfortable, and harmonious environment for all our canine guests. For example, accommodating a giant dog may limit the number of other pets we can host simultaneously, ensuring adequate space and individual attention. Similarly, puppies under 1 year old that are not potty trained require specialized care to support their growth and development. Puppy Care Specialization We understand that puppies need extra attention and tailored care. Unlike other sitters or daycare facilities, we provide frequent potty breaks—every 30 minutes—to keep your puppy comfortable and prevent accidents indoors. Our focus is on supporting your puppy’s potty training journey and helping them develop good habits from the start. Rest assured, your young pup will receive personalized care and attention to ensure a positive experience. If the puppy is crate and potty trained, I can waive this fee. Pricing Breakdown: Small Dogs: No additional charge Medium Dogs: No additional charge Large Dogs: +$20 Giant Dogs: +$100 Puppies under 1 Year (not potty trained): +$125 We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, harmonious environment where every dog can thrive. I’m happy to help with drop-ins to feed, play, or give meds, always treating your dog like one of my own. I’m retired and my schedule is flexible so I can drop in to play, feed or administer medicine if needed to your pets. I’m available Monday through Sunday. I will follow your instructions closely to keep your pets happy and comfortable while you're away. Each visit is a chance to give them attention and ensure their routine stays consistent.

“We love Christie! She was our first kitty 🐈⬛ sitter. My kitty is now 11 years old and right before my weeklong trip kitty got sick and needed meds and special care. Christie did so well and kitty loved her. He took his meds and ate food which were both vital. She sent a photo daily and if I messaged her she was kind to let me know kitty’s status. Christie ended up doing more for us than we originally planned and she didn’t skip one visit. Our cat 🐾 looks better. Thank you so much Christie. I recommend you highly and you’ll be my first choice when I travel again. ☺️🌸”

About: I've had at least one dog in my life since I have been 6 years old. I have 3 years (and counting) of experience caring for a diabetic dog and I also currently assist my family in caring for our elderly dog (an 18 year old deaf dachshund). I am a full time graduate student at Fresno State where I also work as a teaching assistant and a tutor. I am mostly open on weekends depending on my class and work schedule. As I assist in caring for a diabetic dog I have become proficient in giving insulin injections and testing blood-glucose levels. This has also made me proficient at keeping to schedule for when he eats, measuring how much he eats, and making sure he has a supply of continuous supply of water. With the diabetic dog being blind I also have experience in guiding him on walks to ensure his safety as to not harm himself by colliding with any objects or falling. By caring for an elderly deaf dog, I know how to be gentle, patient, and caring to meet her needs and regulate her food as she has strict diet restrictions.

“I called Ciana last minute when a friend fell through for part of the time I would be gone. Ciana answered promptly and we quickly worked out a schedule for the 3 days I would be gone. Everything went smoothly, and my dogs were happy and healthy when I got back. I would absolutely use Ciana again, she was a total life saver. :)”

“Anna was accepted into our family by our german shepherd her first day here. It was nice to see the pictures of our animals from her visits, surprising to us, there was even a picture of one of our cats that does not come out for strangers!”

“John is the best! He’s done walks and check in with my pup a few times and all have been great experiences. During his visits he always updates me and sends cute pics and videos. Before his first check in, he made the time to do a meet and greet and asked lots of questions about my pup’s routine. Highly communicative and kind person. I would definitely recommend John!”

About: Hello! I recently moved here from the Bay Area, and I’m looking forward to meeting you and your fur baby! I have been surrounded by pets/animals since I was 6 years old, and I understand how valuable they are as a precious member of your household. My furry, feathered, and reptilian friends have brought me so much joy, and I love bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my neighbors, family members, friends, and clients. My favorite pet has always been the loyal dog, and I'm familiar with all sizes, temperaments, and most breeds. I have experience administering medicine, tending to wounds if needed, caring for senior pets, and pets with disabilities. I’ve also enjoyed training my pups from a young age to do commands and fun tricks. 😊 I volunteered at the Monterey County SPCA, and I would help assess the behaviors and temperaments of the dogs that had just been brought into the shelter. I would spend time playing with the dogs, taking them for a walk, and observing them to see how receptive they were to me. Most loved the much needed attention, and we tried hard to place them all in loving homes. Rescuing a pet is the best way to go!! I have past volunteer experience working at Monterey Zoo. I would help with the feeding of the raccoons, monkeys, turtles, elephants, ferrets, and the other animals that were there. I have a crazy alligator story I will share with you if you ask! 🫣 I’m available seven days a week to care for your pets! I work remotely from home, so I’ll have plenty of time to spend with them, and I will adjust to their schedule. Safety is of utmost importance when out on a walk with your dog. I am completely focused on your fur baby, and aware of other dogs and squirrels that most dogs love to pull you towards! Lots of sniffing, a few treats, and exercise make a content pup.
