About: I have always loved dogs. In 2021, I adopted a German shepherd and joined a training group. Practicing and training with my own dog every day led to me developing a passion for walking and working with dogs. Since then, I have walked many dogs, including structured walks where we practice heel, sit, place, and other basic commands. I also have experience assisting my trainer with client lessons and dog sat overnight for a home with multiple dogs. I have experience with large dogs, and could also help them to practice walking nicely on a leash. I have worked with and walked small, medium, and large dogs, and even a very large dog. I truly care that dogs get enough mental and physical stimulation so that they can live their happiest lives. Even in rainy weather, I enjoy taking out my dog. I’d love to help more dogs get more walks and sniffs in! I have also dropped in to care for friends’ cats and am comfortable providing cat care drop ins as well. I have a fresh water aquarium at home and could feed fish too! I am a freelance writer with a flexible schedule. Currently, I prefer to walk dogs during the day or in the afternoon, but I could work with other times. I would be available to walk dogs or drop in Mondays through Fridays and some Saturdays. When pet sitting in the past, I have used a lock box to access a key and returned the key to the box upon leaving the home. I wasn't able to get my first pet until I was 10 and it was a guinea pig...fast forward 22 years and that connection and passion for animals has not changed. I worked as a veterinary technician for 6 years including school, most of which was in Maine. I no longer work as a technician but still love to fill my time with taking care of people's pets. About: I graduated with my associate in Veterinary technology in 2022. I have taken care of and worked with all breeds of dogs and cats. I’ll give all of them the same love and care as I give my own.
