“Stephanie is wonderful! She was so responsive and flexible with her schedule to accommodate Lucky’s all-important dinner time. All of the feedback and pictures put us at ease leaving Lucky and just confirmed the great day she was having with Stephanie. Would absolutely book again!”

About: I have always loved dogs. In 2021, I adopted a German shepherd and joined a training group. Practicing and training with my own dog every day led to me developing a passion for walking and working with dogs. Since then, I have walked many dogs, including structured walks where we practice heel, sit, place, and other basic commands. I also have experience assisting my trainer with client lessons and dog sat overnight for a home with multiple dogs. I have experience with large dogs, and could also help them to practice walking nicely on a leash. I have worked with and walked small, medium, and large dogs, and even a very large dog. I truly care that dogs get enough mental and physical stimulation so that they can live their happiest lives. Even in rainy weather, I enjoy taking out my dog. I’d love to help more dogs get more walks and sniffs in! I have also dropped in to care for friends’ cats and am comfortable providing cat care drop ins as well. I have a fresh water aquarium at home and could feed fish too! I am a freelance writer with a flexible schedule. Currently, I prefer to walk dogs during the day or in the afternoon, but I could work with other times. I would be available to walk dogs or drop in Mondays through Fridays and some Saturdays. I’m willing to work with you! I am very respectful of others’ homes and their rules for their pets. When pet sitting in the past, I have used a lock box to access a key and returned the key to the box upon leaving the home. I am also familiar with crate training and can follow instructions for how you’d like your dog to be greeted and let out. I am able to drop in to let your dog out to the bathroom, either in your fenced in yard or on a leash. I am also available for walks, taking dogs to the park, playing, or practicing training.

About: I truly believe that pets are part of the family and am here to treat yours as my own. I am the first person my friends turn to when they need a sitter, and have both hosted dogs in my house and stayed with them in their own. I also enjoy pet visits and walks! I work as a teacher, so most of my availability is on the weekend and during summer months, although I am available for evening visits or walks during the week. I have a large fenced in yard that is great for running and playing and live in a neighborhood ideal for walks. I have a large crate available, if your dog’s routine includes crating. My own golden retriever would love to be friends with and keep your pet company! While I allow pets on my furniture and beds, I will follow the rules established for your pet. Your pet will receive plenty of love and attention!
About: I have always loved being around dogs and having a good time with them! I usually always have my basset hound with me! I keep my pets active and happy! I work 4 days a week, 40 hours 2nd shift. All of my free time is spent with my pup and I’d love to spend some time with yours! I let dogs be dogs but i will always respect any rules or warnings somebody has for their dog. I treat everyones dog i would like my own child to be cared for

“Lindsay was INCREDIBLY attentive and even made a makeshift barrier for one of our kitties that needed to stay downstairs and separated from our other cat while we were on vacation. She's an angel and always gave us really nice updates on our fur babies. We would recommend her in a heartbeat and absolutely book her again to watch our cats.”

“I've never felt so relaxed on a trip knowing my pets were being taken care of and safe. I could definitely tell there was genuine care for my pets. Thank you so so much.”

“Chloe did a great job with our ducks! They were happy and healthy when we got back. She went above and beyond when it ended up being colder than expected. I appreciate all the pictures she sent and the care that she gave them. We would book with her again!”
“Kiah, Did a great job stopping in to let Sky out and play with her while I was away. She sent me updates when she was on her way and she also sent photos of Sky playing ball. I will definately use Kiah again for when I need someone to stop in and check on Sky.”

“Jill was amazing. Her communication prior to and during her visits were great. She flawlessly dealt with some unexpected issues with our puppy (an accident and several escapes from the pen😂) and even helped out with our cat who was supposed to be taken care of by a neighbor. Highly recommend her.”

“Ronny has been great. Our dogs love him and come running when we say his name. He is very communicative. He takes the time to answer questions and offer advise for our puppy training. I will, and am, using his services again.”

About: I’m a dedicated animal lover and experienced caregiver with a lifelong background in working with pets. As a homeowner and mom to a toddler, a German Shepherd mix, and two cats, I understand the importance of respect, safety, and attentive care in a home environment. I’ve owned and cared for dogs my entire life, including large and high-energy breeds like Great Pyrenees and Malamutes. I also have hands-on experience working at multiple doggy daycares, where I learned how to handle dogs of all temperaments, sizes, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with walking, playtime, basic training, and administering medications. At home, I care for a senior epileptic cat and a dog who both require daily medication, so I’m very familiar with keeping consistent routines and providing care for pets with special needs. I’ve also trained my own dogs over the years and continue to reinforce structure and good behavior. In addition to dogs and cats, I’ve also cared for amphibians, reptiles, and previously had chickens, so I’m comfortable with a variety of animals and their different care needs. I’m currently pursuing a degree in biology, which helps me better understand animal health and behavior. Above all, I truly love animals and prioritize their happiness, safety, and comfort in everything I do. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, especially in the afternoons and evenings. I am currently available starting at 8am on weekdays, as well as weekends, which allows me to provide consistent and attentive care during those day. I am a mom to a toddler, so communication is important to discuss flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, and extended care. I prioritize reliability and routine, ensuring all visits, walks, and medication schedules are followed closely. At this time, I provide pet care exclusively in my clients’ homes to ensure pets remain comfortable in their familiar environment and routines. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize consistency, safety, and attention to detail. I follow all feeding, walking, playtime, and medication schedules closely, and I take time to understand each pet’s individual personality and needs. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or requires special care, I adjust my approach to make them feel secure and stress-free. I also treat every home with the same respect and care as my own, keeping things clean, secure, and well-maintained while you’re away. Communication is important to me, so I provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind. My goal is to make your time away as easy as possible for both you and your pet by providing reliable, compassionate, and attentive in-home care.

“David is very responsible. He takes our pup (Eros) out on many walks. David always takes great care of our pup and sends lots of pictures. Eros always enjoys his time with David. David has been our dog walker for over a year now and we are glad we found him.”

About: Taking care of dogs and cats has been my specialty since I was a child! I have had 8 dogs of all kinds, as well as 10 cats, not including my grandmother’s. My family and neighbors would trust me to feed and water their pets while they were away. I am great at crating puppies and socializing feral/young kittens. It’s always a pleasure to brush or bathe pets depending on their size! I am working a part-time job at Petsmart so my day is already filled with furry faces! But I will still have plenty of days where I can come take care of your puppy or kitty! My schedules are usually two weeks out so I have plenty of notice of when I am free. Contact me of a day when you’d like me to care for your pet and I will let you know the earliest I am available that day! Unfortunately I am not in a position to invite pets into my home… I am figuring out my living situation and will update this section when I have a suitable place for pets to visit!

As of August 2026, there are 937 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across York Haven. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in York Haven. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
