“The experience surpassed my expectation. Rodney met us outside and the meeting was totally professional. The whole experience surpassed my expectation; In that Buddy a recent rescue is reluctant to surrender to anyone unfamiliar without resistance. However, that was not what I witnessed with Rodney and not receiving that phone call to come get Buddy.”

“Mila took very good care of my dog over a long weekend. It was so nice not to have to worry and Mila send updates on how things were going. I definitely will have her watch my dog again.”

“Casey and Marwa were so great! After a thorough and thoughtful meet and greet, they watched my Lulu for the night while we moved. It was a great first experience leaving my pup with someone not family. They always make sure someone is home with the pups and sent lots of updates. Kevin was a total gentleman and Lulu was thrilled that he shared his favorite spots with her. Lulu can’t wait to go back in a few weeks and I can travel easy knowing she’s being taken such good care of!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care our puppy dog received from Jena! From the moment we dropped him off, we felt completely at ease. We received daily updates with videos and pictures, which were such a comforting touch and really showed how much fun he was having. It was clear he was being treated like one of the family. When he came home, he was happy, healthy—and completely exhausted from all the playtime and attention! We're so grateful to have found such a trustworthy and caring sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Felice and her family love our dog as much as we do. It is so comforting to go away knowing that he will be taken care of just like he is at home!! Felice and family are the best.”

“James and Mary are kind and easy to work with. Our GSP tends to be anxious and energetic but she settles right down at their home - they go out of their way to make her feel right at home. We don't worry about her at all when she's with James and Mary - we know she will be well taken care of!”

“Thank you so much for taking such phenomenal care of Snoopy! You completely put our minds at ease from the start. The daily photo updates were great and put our minds at ease. It was clear that he was in good hands. Snoopy came home happy and relaxed and we will definitely be booking again!”

“Danielle was fantastic! She took excellent care of my dog during his overnight stay. She was attentive and sent me picture updates frequently. I would definitely book her for another stay.”

“Lingli was so kind and attentive to our dog. She sent frequent updates and pictures that made us at ease being away from our fur baby. We will definitely be booking with her again next time we go out of town :)”

“Ebony did a great job with our Rusty. She sent pictures and videos every day. When he had an upset belly and needed a diet modification, she had no problem making adjustments! Thanks, Ebony!”

“Theresa is exceptional! We were a bit nervous to leave our boy, Otto, for the first time. Daily check ins from Theresa put us at ease. It was clear from the pictures that he was as comfy and happy as can be in Theresa’s home. We will definitely be reaching out to Theresa next time we have to leave our boy in good hands.”

“Another great stay for London. I even had to extend by a day and Lonnie was vert accommodating. Lonnie communicates and sends photos so I know London is happy and safe.”

“This was Stella’s second time with Lora, and she couldn’t wait to get inside (and leave me apparently)! Lora sends plenty of photos and updates and my pup sleeps very well for days after all the playing and interacting with the other dogs. We will definitely use her services in the future.”

“Brittanie and Ryan took such great care of our pup. We really appreciated the updates and photos, as it put us at ease with it being her first time with a sitter. They were responsive and helpful, kept to our feeding schedule and loved on our furbaby. Thank you so much!”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs and cats my entire life and cannot remember a time I didn't love them all. My cat is no longer with me but I still have dogs and would love to care for your pets as I currently do my own. I can handle big dogs and little dogs as well as am willing to clean out your cats litterboxes. I'm happy to tussle with big dogs and take naps with lap dogs anytime! I'm a college student looking for work over the breaks and any pet time over the semester as I'll be away from my own. I'm happy to work around my class schedule to be with your pets as much as possible. I have a mostly fenced yard with the only opening being the driveway but intend to do walks and keep pets leashed just for safety. My own home has two dogs that are great with other dogs, both of them being on the smaller side and great with people as well. When I'm up at school there will be no other pets up there and the space will be fully for your pets. I'm also able to do house sitting, walks, and drop-ins for your pets to make sure your pets are getting love and attention when you're away.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Glyndon
Brad was terrific! 5 stars all the way. Our dog stayed ant Brad’s home and was clearly well loved as she wasn’t entirely sure she wanted to hop in my car to go home at the end of the stay. Brad communicated well and sent photos and updates daily. He is obviously very knowledgeable about and comfortable with dogs. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
