“I’m so glad I found Starla on Rover to care for Tootsie while I took a 12-day trip. She was great at sending photos and giving me a daily update. There was never any doubt that my dog was getting the best care and so much love and attention.”
“Robin is experienced and trustworthy. We loved the big fenced in back yard and ample inside room for our pups while we were out of town. I was emotional leaving my babies but knew they were in great hands. Photos and videos while we were gone and texting communication was spot on. We will definitely be booking again when needed.”

“Brittany is wonderful!! She took amazing care of our furbaby and kept us updated regularly including with pics… we highly recommend her services and will definitely use her again on our next vacation!”

“It was a great experience. Katie took care of Hope (my shihpoo dog) very well. She understood the requirements of my dog and took care of them perfectly. Being first time to leave Hope alone I had so many doubts and queries. Katie was very patient with answering all of my queries and she ensured a comfortable stay for Hope. Katie is very friendly, reliable and experienced. I will most definitely be using Katie for my next vacations!!”

“Tina took such wonderful care of my dog, Ruby, over the weekend! From the moment we dropped her off, I felt completely at ease knowing she was in great hands. Tina was incredibly attentive and kept me updated with frequent messages and adorable photos, which meant so much while we were away. Ruby also had the best time with Tina’s dog, Charlie. They became fast friends right away, which made the whole experience even better. It’s clear Tina truly loves and cares for the dogs she watches. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter. Thank you so much, Tina, for taking such amazing care of Ruby!”

“Brandy was amazing! She took very good care of my pup. She was very responsive, sent pics and videos, and also let me know if there were any problems or concerns she had with him. I would recommend her to anyone who wants their pup in good hands!”

About: Hello! I have been pet sitting for 5 years, either staying overnight or just stopping by! I absolutely love watching doggies and helping out when I can. I am able to do whatever you need, I will feed, walk, bathe, etc. i absolutely love meeting new fur babies!! I currently am a student at high point university, majoring in biology. Most of my schedule consists of classes that are about an hour long with hour breaks in between each class. I have a part-time job hosting, only 2 days a week at night time. I am able to take dogs out on a leash, let them out in a yard, crate them, or whatever the plan may be. I can also walk them and pick up after them if preferred! I will give them lots of love and make sure they are comfortable.
“First time using Rover. It was a great experience, it’s never easy leaving a pet in the hands of someone else. Grace seemed to do well with Rebecca and her family. I would recommend her!”

“Amazingggg! Her dog is the cutest and the best play buddy for my Livvy girl. Lindsey is very trustworthy, kind, and the perfect pet sitter for any occasion or duration. Will 100% be booking again!”

“This was our first time using Rebecca. We felt very comfortable leaving Rusty in her care. She was very prompt in answering our texts and sent updates and pictures of Rusty.”

“Adriana is one of the nicest people I've ever met. She kept our dog the first time for a full day while we were at an amusement park and 4 days later in the most horrible weather imaginable, our dog got lost. Even though she hardly knows us, Adriana went out in the rain and wind to help look for her! Thankfully our dog is back at home safe and sound and we have already booked another stay with Adriana! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a loving caregiver for their dog with no hesitation at all!”

“Robin was excellent! Our poodle took to her immediately and all her pictures showed her happy and relaxed. Communication with Robin was easy and we will definitely use her again!”

“Overall a wonderful experience, very helpful with last minute changes of care. The pups came home happy and excited. Thank you! Will 100% book again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Glenola
Heather was a quick responder, sent pictures, made my Luna girl part of her family, and was very flexible. The holidays can be busy and stressful but she relieved me of having to worry about Luna while I was away. Luna looked relaxed in the pictures so I felt at ease.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Glenola home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Glenola.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Glenola sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
