I was able to book a very last-minute request.

Unfortunately, my experience with this boarding stay was not what I expected. I booked an overnight stay from September 19 at 7:00am. through September 20 at 7:00pm. The day before I messaged through the Rover app letting her know I would see her at 7:00am. and she liked the message. I arrived around 7:15am. and messaged that I was outside. I initially did not knock because it was early and I did not want to wake the entire house. After getting no response I called several times using the number provided through Rover and left a voicemail. After about 10 minutes I finally went to the door and knocked. A young man eventually answered and appeared to be awakened by the knock and the dogs barking in the home. He told me that she was not home and was actually at work. He then told me that I could just leave my dog with him. That honestly caught me off guard because none of this had been communicated to me beforehand. There were also two pittbull dogs right there at the door so of course I had questions about their temperament and whether they were safe around my dog. Once I was able to get her personal number and call her she told me that she was at work and said she had not told me because I requested a 7am drop off and she didn’t want to change the time that I requested. She also told me she did not answer my calls because the number showed up as a California number and she thought it was spam. What was frustrating about that is I was calling through the number Rover provides on her profile so as a client that is naturally the number I would use to reach her. My biggest issue was that we had already confirmed the 7:00am. drop off the day before. I feel like I should have been told that she would not actually be there and that someone else would be receiving and watching my dog until she got home. I ended up leaving my dog because I had somewhere I absolutely had to be and really did not have another option at that point. She did reassure me about the other dogs in the home and she did send me 2 videos when she returned home, which I appreciated. When I came back the next day I messaged to let her know I would be arriving early. Before I even made it to the house, I could hear my furbaby barking from the backyard. When I went around back I called her name she came to the gate and her paws were extremely dirty. She had just been groomed before I dropped her off, so seeing her like that made me feel like she may have been outside for quite longer than a potty break. Overall, I just did not feel comfortable with the experience or feel like there was enough communication and transparency. The way the drop-off happened already had me uneasy and then seeing my fur baby outside in that condition when I returned added to that feeling. Based on my experience I would not personally book another stay.

Robin had our dogs for 2 weeks as we traveled out of the country. She communicated freely, sent videos and I can tell how much the dogs loved her and her family. Will 100% leave the dogs with her again.

She took excellent care of our dog , who has limited mobility .

Robin and her family always keep my 2 needy pups happy while we are away.

Robin is always wonderful with my 2 couch potatoes!
