“Alena was so great with Luna! Luna is pretty shy but seemed to warm up to Alena pretty quickly! She also sent a lot of pics & updates throughout the stay! Would use Alena again!”

About: I provide a safe, reliable and enriching environment for pups of all ages! I raised my pup since 11 weeks and I follow the AbsoluteDogs training methodology which has shaped Nori to be the adventure dog of our dreams! ❤️ I work part-time remotely, so am available most of the day to care for dogs. And my pup is available at all times for playtime. I have a pen for separating my pup away from yours if necessary, and any client’s dog will be walked on leash unless specifically requested by the client. I only provide baths for short haired, smooth coated dogs, and I can also provide basic obedience training using positive reinforcement.
“Evan was a great house/dog sitter for my 12 year old Aussie!! He sent several pictures so I know she was getting lots of the love and attention! I appreciated that he asked questions to make sure he was taking proper care of her. All of this made me feel comfortable leaving my dog for the weekend. He also left the house very clean showing respect for my property. I hope to use Evan again!!”

“Nicole and Alex were absolutely amazing! They stayed at our home for 3 nights and took such great care of our dog, Whiskey. They made sure he got plenty of playtime, took him on walks, and kept us updated with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup and a clean house—which was such a bonus. They even went above and beyond and did laundry, which we truly appreciated! We would 100% trust Nicole and Alex again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, thoughtful, and caring sitters. Thank you guys!”

“Very happy repeat customer! Cleo did a great job of updating us and sending pictures and videos while we were gone. Came home to find both of our boys very happy and well loved.”

About: My family has always had 1-2 dogs, and I have been watching other people's dogs for 6 years. My family once had 4 cats and farm animals, so l am also experienced with other animals. I love going on hikes and walks. My clients are always happy with my caretaking, often asking me to watch their animals again. I am able to watch your pet (s) at animals again. I am able to watch your pet (s) at you house, as long as it is clean, but l am also able to watch your pets) at my house, as long as they get along with my families' dog. :) I have watched many types and breeds of dogs (doodle mix, Chihuahua mix, Australian cattle dog, etc) I am currently unemployed, so I have lots of time to give your dogs attention, hikes, or whatever they need. I will only not be available June 8-19, and after mid August my availability will change. I have a fenced yard, and one friendly, smallish dog. I live on a ranch, so beyond the dance there is plenty of space for the dog to run around if they are okay off leash. I also have one cat, so it is preferable that your pet is cat friendly, but if not I may be also to make it work.

“My wife and I were worried about how our fairly anxious dog would do with being left at home for a trip for the first time in his entire life after nearly 6 years but Dyisha made it a wonderful experience for all of us! She is extremely professional, kind, and honestly just all-around amazing. We were expecting to come home to our dog Ace being a little upset with us for leaving but instead, it was almost like we never left. It was clear he had a wonderful time with Dyisha and got plenty of love and snuggles. Not only did she do an incredible job watching Ace she also kept us updated throughout our trip with photos and text that always put our worries at ease. To top it all off we came back to our home looking exactly how it was when we left, clean and organized just like no one was ever there. My wife and I can't recommend her enough and will definitely be using Dyisha again next time we need to go out of town without our boy!”

“Leo did a wonderful job with our two dogs! We had a very quick turn around trip and Leo was able to house sit with such short notice was great. Our dogs seemed very happy upon our arrival. Our home was left extremely clean and as we left it. We will definitely book Leo in the future. Thanks Leo!”

“Lilliana was 15 minutes early & was absolutely fabulous! ! Not only is she sweet & kind, she truly love animals & I had zero concerns while I was out!! Makes it very comforting to leave knowing our pups are being cared for & loved. So happy to have found her!!”

“Allison was so great with Noodle! She was so chill and kind, and Noodle immediately connected with her! She was also so communicative and accommodating with my last minute dog sitting request. Thanks, Allison :)”

“Ally was on time and communicative throughout the booking and pet sitting process. She went over and above to understand our pet’s needs. Moreover, she listened to our specific concerns and was very accommodating . Will definitely use her again!”

About: I have owned a dog years ago. Miss having them around. I am only a dog aunt now. I am very active and love walks, runs, playing on the beach. I am working half days. I work 8-12 M-F. I usually ride bikes, walks, or hike after work. Pretty active lifestyle. Available on weekends full time. I also offer in home pet care and can travel to your residence if preferred. “Brenna was amazing with River! She checked in on River multiple times a day and gave her all the exercise and cuddles she needed. I would highly recommend her and I will definitely be using her again in the future!”
About: I have had a pet sitting business since the age of 12 and am now 50. I love animals and am kind of a self proclaimed animal psychic. I can feel their emotions, wants and needs. I have even diagnosed sick pets before they had visited a vet to confirm my guesses. All this to say I am very in tune with animals as they are with me. I would be an excellent choice to take care of your fur-babies. Hi there I look forward to helping you and your animal family. I am currently working from home which allows me the flexibility to provide attentive care, companionship, and frequent potty breaks.I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I will do my best to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, a nd loved while you're away. I am happy to follow feeding schedules, administer basic medications if needed, provide regular exercise, and send updates and photos so you can have peace of mind. I believe pets are happiest when they can remain in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routines. When caring for pets in a client's home, I take the time to learn their feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications, favorite activities, and any special instructions. I treat every home with the same respect and care I would expect for my own and prioritize keeping pets safe, comfortable, and stress-free while their owners are away. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can have peace of mind knowing their furry family members are happy and well cared for.
“This was my first time leaving my babes for an extended period of time with a dog sitter and I am thoroughly impressed with Laura! She was very nice and patient with my high maintenance pack - of 2 dogs- 1 who can be reactive, 1 with hip issues that needs additional supplements and meds , 1 foster dog also on meds, and 3 cats! She loved them as if they were her own and I don’t think they even realized we were gone with how pampered they were with her there! She even took them each dog on their own seperate walks! She sent lots of updates and was super understanding of me being a crazy furmom! The house was also so clean when we came home - which was greatly appreciated after a long day of traveling! We will definitely be using her again!! Thanks again Laura - the pups already miss you!”

About: I have lived in Tahoe for 25 years and always had my own dog and watched over my friend's dogs throughout the years. My best friend (Maggie - Retriever) passed away 18 months ago and I watch many of my friend's dogs frequently, including an elderly short hair retriever that is battling pancreatic cancer. I work from home and board my friend's dogs as well as check in and walk dogs when owners need help. I do have a number of recent references. I have worked from home for 25 years. I am very active and walk frequently. I am an early morning riser and monitor how often dogs need a walk or outside break. Pets are a part of my daily routine. My home: I have beds set up and recognize different doggy routines, ie need to go on the porch for sun, or need to go out for a break and walk. I have a section on my porch and in the laundry area for their food and water and a special area where I organize all the food, medication, leaches, doggy bags. I have a place by my couches with a large basket with balls, toys and stuffed doggy animals. I watch a number of my friend's dogs, and each has a unique and special routine and they have all come to trust me a look forward to visiting. I stay a bit at some of my friend's houses if they want me to help with house watch, plants, delivery receipt and other home needs while they are traveling and away on extended trips.
“Rachel was amazing! She sent regular photo, video, and text updates while I was gone and kept my two dogs happy and well exercised. She was especially patient with one of my dogs who tends to be nervous in general but even more so when I’m away. My house was clean and tidy when I came home with everything as I had left it. I would recommend Rachel to anyone in need of a loving, respectful sitter for their fur babies!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Glenbrook
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 770 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Glenbrook. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Glenbrook walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Glenbrook maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Glenbrook choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Glenbrook. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
