About: Hi I’m Karissa! I’m a passionate pet lover and have been dog & cat sitting for many years, having at least 16 years of experience. I love being around animals of all types and can provide whatever care they may need from overnight stays to daily walks. I grew up around my family dogs and over the years have watched, walked, and cared for my neighbors and friends dogs when needed. I have been around and am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I work full time, however I am able to accommodate walks, visits, or overnight stays with my work hours. I am typically available mornings as well as evenings. I understand that pets are not a one size fits all and with that being said, their needs may vary from one another. Whether they’re a puppy with high energy or a homebody, I am here to accommodate their needs and wants and to make them feel as comfortable as I can for the time I’m there.
About: Since I’m unable to have a pet of my own, pet sitting is something I truly enjoy! I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I am very familiar with animal husbandry, as I grew up caring for livestock along with our family animals too. I currently work a very flexible schedule, especially in the summer time. I can take multiple breaks in my day to best accommodate your pets needs I am unable to offer pet sitting in my home at this time. I always treat your home as I would mine, and leave it better than I found it.
About: I lived on a farm growing up and loved taking care of all the animals, my favorites always being the cats and dogs. I love walking dogs and chilling with cats, and always make sure I take special care of them. I am always the one to look after the dogs and cats whenever my parents were out of town and always took great care of them. My years of experience reflects taking care of my own pets, but can't wait to take care of yours! I am a full time college student. So whenever I am not in class I am happy to walk or look after pets. Usually any day of the week that's not Wednesday or Thursday I can watch or walk or say hi to your pet! I do live in college dorms so I can't take a pet home. But when in other's homes I am very respectful and only am in if I need to be for the pet. I have a car and have no problem driving a dog somewhere if there is a special place they like to walk.
About: First, I live in Craig, but willing to try to make pickups work in Steamboat, meeting halfway or we travel for the gym often, so please don't hesitate to reach out to discuss. We have a large yard that is great for active dogs. There is always an adult in the house to watch/care for your pup, my mother in law lives with us, Mark is home often and we have 2 kids, ages 10 and 12. I enjoy being around dogs, and feel comfortable dealing with some simple behavior issues. I am very specific with my dog and willing to be as specific with yours if needed. I am active and can give walks daily. Please don't hesitate to let me know if any special needs and I'll do my best to be accommodating. I am active lifestyle and so going on walks and waking up early are part of my normal process. I am willing to work with any situation as best I can. I maintain control of situations and always attentive to behaviors or signs of fear or aggression to make sure it is addressed before any issues arise. I used to train horses when I was younger so the patience and consistency is something I've grown up with towards animals.

About: I have been caring for pups since childhood and have a true passion for animals. Dog sitting was my first means of income as a child with my neighbors (and parents) allowing me to care for their dogs into my home while also growing up with a number of dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and rodents. My love for animals has only grown and for the first time in my life I have no pets of my own. For that reason, Rover is the perfect opportunity for me to spend time where my heart is and surround myself with what I love while also helping others. walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
