“Sarah watched our dog and two cats for 8 days and they were all happy and healthy when we returned! She gave us updates every time she stopped by and we so appreciated her following all our pets’ complicated medication schedules. She even checked on our dog at specific times if there were thunderstorms since she’s afraid. We are so grateful for Sarah watching our pets for us so well!”

“Rio was wonderful with my 2 doodles. One of my dogs is a huge (100 pound) fraidy cat - afraid of everything but Rio showed patience with her and took the time needed for her to warm up. I appreciate her dropping in for a last minute booking. Prompt response time and great communication- Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and it seemed the family dogs always gravitated toward me. I can’t imagine life without them! I’ve been caring for other’s dogs ever since I got my drivers license. The first dog I watched for a family (a beautiful Alaskan husky) had diabetes and required diabetic shots twice a day. Even though it hurt to have to give him shots, I loved having the opportunity to care for dogs other than my own. Since then I’ve had the opportunity of being the go-to dog watcher for several families with several different dog (and cat) breeds. I will make every effort to give your dog the same care that I was able to give Skyler and the rest of the dogs I’ve had the great fortune of watching and taking care of. There’s not many things that give me more joy than spending time with dogs. I currently work from home Monday and Friday so in addition to the weekend, it opens up availability to be present for the doggie. I’m in the office Tuesday - Thursday but available for morning/evening. I have a fenced in backyard and ample space inside the house to make your dog comfortable. I can crate if needed, but also have rooms that can function as “dog” rooms for the periods when I need to leave the house. I have my own Belgian Malinois, who mostly does her own thing. :)

About: I’ve taken care of my own and family dogs since like 13 and since then I have started doing other people and have good references I work really early mornings and I’m usually out of work by the latest is noon so I would be able to watch your pup all day as long as my schedule works for you! I will have an eye on the dog(s) the majority of the time loving on them and many sure they have what they need I also love to exercise so walks can be in the picture as well

“Really impressed with Sarah! She left detailed updates about our pets with every visit, and was quick to respond to texts. We felt completely at ease, able to focus on our vacation with no worries at all!”

About: WHY PICK ROVER: Because you get the assurance of knowing your beloved pet is enjoying their vacation as much as you are. WHY PICK ME: Because I love dogs. I enjoy spending time playing, cuddling, and relaxing. Typical kennels, both at your vet/groomers and the "pet resorts" have multiple pets, and employees that are on a set schedule. Your pet still spend 85% of their time in a kennel/crate/enclosure. While in my care they will be given individual attention. they will have free roam and access to the outdoors as needed and be home to attend to their needs. The safety, health and happiness of my fur friends is my priority. I have had multiple dogs my entire life. I have been hired by friends and family since I was in my teens to watch and care for animals during vacations. I have owned and tended to dogs as small as 10 pounds up to 200 pounds. Security and safety of your pets are of the utmost importance. I am a part time remote worker, so my time really belongs to your fur family. 90%. I may leave for occasional meeting or meal. I will take every effort to stick to your rules and your environment with your pup.. I don't mind dogs want to cuddle at night or that need to be crated. Having lived with both puppies and geriatric dogs, I am more than willing to do late night potty breaks or whatever necessary.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs & had dogs in my house since I was a baby. I currently have a Lab, Aussie, and GSP! I love dogs, small and big:) I work Monday-Thursday, 8-4. I get a lunch in the middle of the day also! Those hours do change, and I’m super flexible. As long as I have some time to block off my schedule, I’m all good! I love to go on walks & I love dogs so what is better than mixing that! I will take good care of your pups!

“This was our 2nd time using Tara. She does a wonderful job at each visit. It makes me feel so at ease knowing she takes such good care of our pets. I will definitely use her every time I go out of town.”

“I was concerned that my excitable and rather strong 90lb dog would be too much for her to handle, but she knocked it out of the park and gave us ease of mind. On introductory visit was also very attentive and brought a notebook to write down anything important so that the dog sitting would go smoothly. Definitely recommend.”

“Kayla was super kind and helped me out last minute. She also was willing to come over and meet the animals while I was there before helping me out. She did show up a little late, which made me nervous since I’m quite a ways away at work. I was hopeful she’d spend the full 30 mins with Tilly to run around the yard and wear her out since she’s just a new pup and is being kenneled all day and give her more time in case she needed to poop, but she did play with her for a short bit.”

“Molly was wonderful with my 2 cats. She quickly gained the trust of my shy boy and was great about sending photos and updates each day. I trust her and will definitely request bookings with her in the future!”

She’s my pride and joy! I just dog sat this weekend for an old coworker where I watched their 2 dogs all weekend! the owners were worried that the dogs weren’t gonna eat cuz they get home sick from them, but i got them comfortable with me enough where they ate normally!

“This was my first experience using a pet sitter with my GSD, Ivan. He's an older, separation-anxiety riddled, cuddle-monster, and Jeni managed Ivan's visits beautifully. She took care of this 100 lb. beast with love and understanding. Fabulous care! Will gladly request Jeni again in the future!”

“Jennifer C. Was amazing with everything! Very punctual, professional and great with maintaining open communication. She was patient with our dog, who has lots of energy and tends to be anxious around new people, which put me at ease when away. She went above and beyond and we will definitely be using her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of my family’s, neighbors’, and friends’ dogs since I was a kid—whenever they needed someone reliable. Over the years, that turned into a mix of dog walks, feedings, house sitting, and a whole lot of belly rubs. While I’ve always loved animals in general, cats have definitely stolen my heart. I work full time, but work from home on Mondays and Fridays, so I'm able to pop in on those days when needed! The weekends are wide open for me! I care for pets in my home the same way I care for my own—like family. I follow their usual routines closely and make sure they have a calm, clean space to relax in. I give them plenty of attention (if they want it), keep their food, litter, or meds on schedule, and always prioritize their comfort and safety. Whether they’re playful or prefer to do their own thing, I meet them where they are and make sure they feel secure while they’re with me.

Sophia H.
“We don't have kids yet, just two rescue pups that we absolutely adore. When we were going out of town over the 4th of July holiday, we were nervous to leave our dogs, knowing that they would be so scared of the fireworks. Sophia was wonderful. I know she helped them feel comforted and safe, and she listened diligently to all of our (many) instructions. She sent us photos and our pups looked so happy. We will definitely be reaching out to Sophia for future trips.”

Gladstone dog parents share their Rover experiences
Adaline is AMAZING! We’re so happy to have someone we trust to come visit our puppy during the day while we’re gone for work. She not only ensures that our girl gets her potty breaks, but she also provides exceptional care with so much affection and patience with our very energetic pup. We couldn’t be happier!
