“Amy was great with my dog. She took a fast walk around the neighborhood on a rainy day! It was exactly what my dog needed. She was on time and attentive. I would highly recommend Amy!”

“Amy has gone above and beyond to care for our dog, Lola. She really enjoys and takes great pride in what she does. She teaches new skills and is so caring. Her communication is great and she has our utmost trust. Definitely recommend!”

“Sydney is so good with our Enzo! She’s attentive to how he’s feeling on the walk (which is key with the heat and his puppy age), what training we’re working on (she reinforces what we’re focusing on), and making sure he has a great time. She’s our go to!”

“We’ve been using June for walks while we’re at work and she is great!! Our dog Norbert loved her immediately! She is extremely communicative and leaves detailed report cards! I know Norbert is in good hands with June, and we’re lucky to have found her!”

“Ashley was an absolute angel watching my Romeo!! She was extremely thorough and followed my instructions to a T (there were many! Lol) she was inquisitive and took pride in being helpful and making sure my puppy was well taken care of. She was always early or on time and always gave my baby lots of love! I would and WILL be asking her to dog sit again! Thank you so much Ashley!! ⭐️”

“Sabrila is such an awesome person and our dog enjoys seeing her for her daily walks. We highly recommend Sabrila as she is reliable, friendly, and professional dog walker. We'd give more than 5 stars if we could!”

About: I currently work at a local veterinary hospital, where I have received over 8 years of experience and knowledge of animal care. While I may not work directly in veterinary care (I am the marketing manager), I have learned a great deal about dog behavior, illnesses, vaccines, pet care tips, exercises, enrichment activities, Fear Free methods, and more. I have taken care of my own dogs since I was 6 years old, and in that time I have also cared for friends and neighbors' pets over the years. While I was not the sole caregiver of my dogs, I would bathe them, brush them, feed them, take them on walks, take them to veterinary visits, and anything you could imagine. I love dogs with all my heart and will do anything for them. Since my own fur babies have recently crossed the rainbow bridge, I am deeply missing the constant companionship--I'll gladly welcome a new buddy to care for with open arms. I am working full time on a hybrid basis. I work in the office and from home. My schedule is very flexible! If I am in the office, I can break for lunch or be available anytime after 5-6 pm. When working remotely, I am able to break whenever necessary. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. Whether I'm taking your dog for a walk, stopping by for a visit, or house sitting, I will provide attentive, experienced, and dependable care tailored to your pet's individual needs. I will follow your instructions carefully, keep your home clean and secure, and make sure your pets receive plenty of attention, enrichment, and affection. I understand how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet in someone else's care. I'm happy to keep you updated with photos and messages so you get peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for!
“Nic and his wife Carmen were great on their walk with Scuba. He’s a young and mouthy puppy and tries to eat everything during walks. They handled him with care and he seems to have enjoyed his walk. I’d recommend them!”

About: I've have helped out with my family, friends, and Neighbors cats and dogs for about five years. I have experience with walking, feeding, and care taking for large dog breeds, spunky cats, and extremely anxious pets. Thus, I can support animals with all different types of needs! I am currently teleworking full time during the day (typically 8-4), but am available for lunch time playtime and walks. I am available to help on most weekends when out of town or in the evenings when life gets busy. Since I telework, my schedule is fairly flexible! Since I have experience with different types of pets, I am well suited to support your animal in the right way. I have two German Shepard dogs which require skill and responsibility to handle, along with an anxious pup who has particular needs. If instructions are left, I know how important it is to follow them to protect the animals and myself.
“Tammy is fantastic!! There was hiccup with getting in the house on her first day (due to us giving here the wrong code). Thankfully, she was able to get in touch with us to get the right code and graciously made a second trip to the house to take care of our fur babies. I was so thankful and appreciative…she treated our pups like they were her own!!!”

“I'm so glad I found Nouf! She was punctual for every walk and kept me in the loop with photo updates. My dog was thrilled to see her again during her second visit. I’ll definitely be booking with Nouf again whenever the need arises.”

“JaLeeza was very responsive leading up to, during, and after the walk. Our dog is very loving, and requires close monitoring when walking so he doesn’t eat items he’s not supposed to. We can trust JaLeeza to make this happen.”

About: Hello all! I'm Julia, your fellow friendly Middleburg resident. I am located on a 3 acre property, the perfect place for your pet to get a vacation while you’re on vacation! I've always had a passion for taking care of animals and grew up with German Shepherds. This is the first time in my life I haven’t had a pet and I travel too frequently to be able to get one right now, so I REALLY miss being around dogs & cats. I’ve always been told I’m an animal whisperer and even the most skittish, shy animals seem to feel comfortable around me. If you are interested in booking with me, please don’t hesitate to reach out!🐾🐶😻 I am currently working full-time doing Sales & Marketing, but I do work from home so my schedule is very flexible! As long as I am not traveling, I am available on holidays as well. I am very informed when it comes to dog training as we always had to have our German Shepherds trained. I am comfortable walking dogs in the area, taking them to nearby dog parks, giving treats, and of course lots of pets!!☺️

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gilberts Corner. On Rover:
- 90% of walkers can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
