About: I have 2 dogs: Mina (8 year old Wheaten Terrier) and Halle (6 year old Boxer). I've had them both as puppies so I know what it's like to take care of dogs during those rough first few months. Halle also developed some anxiety so I have experience in dealing with leash reactive dogs and training them. I love all dogs and have taken care of friends' pets occasionally. I'm currently working on a hybrid schedule, so some days I work remote and am pretty flexible. On remote days, I'm able to work anywhere with wifi and can take care of dogs at the same time. My hours are also flexible so I am able to help almost any time and can take frequent breaks to walk or play with the dogs. I would ask lots of questions to make sure I know everything about when I can crate dogs, or if they can go to parks or dog parks.

I like to fresh cook food for my dog, make sure they are healthy and take them for a walk. When looking for a flexible part time job, I started searching ‘jobs with animals’ because I love animals ! I currently have two very high energy corgis but currently have a lot of time and love for more animals! I currently work remote so am very flexible with my hours to match your pets needs, weekdays and week ends. About: Hello all! I'm Julia, your fellow friendly Middleburg resident. I am located on a 3 acre property, the perfect place for your pet to get a vacation while you’re on vacation! I've always had a passion for taking care of animals and grew up with German Shepherds. This is the first time in my life I haven’t had a pet and I travel too frequently to be able to get one right now, so I REALLY miss being around dogs & cats. I’ve always been told I’m an animal whisperer and even the most skittish, shy animals seem to feel comfortable around me. Prior to my babies, I was a licensed veterinary technician for several years at an animal emergency hospital as well as worked at Banfield for a few years prior to that. I have vast/in depth medical background that accompanies a large variety of knowledge when it comes to caring for your fur babies. If anyone has fur babies that take medication, require insulin, or any medications- I can meet those needs easily as I am highly skilled and trained to do so. I have a very active lifestyle and enjoy walking and catering to the needs of animals, I also do dog sitting & boarding & over night stays at our home. “What an amazing experience! From the very beginning Kristen was so helpful! This was our very first experience using Rover, and also our first experience with leaving our precious Furbaby in someone else’s care! We drove all the way from Florida to visit Washington DC and unfortunately we were not able to bring Eleanor with us to the Smithsonian museums! Lol! So we were in need of someone to take care of her while we were sightseeing and I am so thankful that we found Kristen and her beautiful farm! We left Eleanor at the farm for three days, and it seems like she had a blast! Kristen was great with communicating even though I was a little neurotic about checking on Eleanor, she had no hesitation with reassuring me that Eleanor was in good hands, and well taken care of! From day one, it was obvious that Baxter wasn’t just being boarded—he became part of her family. Deb even treated him to his favorite daily pup cups, which quickly became one of the highlights of his vacation! “I was looking for a place to board Sake that was a mid-point between my home to Bryce Mountain to go skiing. I found Maki who was on the way to the slopes. She was very accommodating when I forgot the dry food (Mom Brain), but luckily I brought enough wet food for Sake's meals. I appreciate they were very patient with Sake trying to sleep in her crate at night while I am attempting to crate train her. I was worried she might be howling most of the night, but surprisingly, Sake ended up napping inside her crate after we got home today. This is a new behavior for Sake which I am so happy to see!!!! This is a good sign that she is dreaming of all the fun walks and attention she got from Maki and her family. She shared photos and informed me on all of her walks, her desire to chase a squirrel, and when she peed, pooped, finished her meals, got several belly rubs and chilled at the house. I highly recommend you go to Maki whenever you need boarding. She is conveniently located on the way to the slopes. Upon pick up, her son was kind to carry the crate out to my car and place it in my trunk. I noticed that Sake's belongings were neatly folded, cleaned and organized inside the overnight bag. Sake will definitely return when I need to go back to the mountains for the weekend or day when I am not able to bring her with me. Thank you for taking good care of her. When I see Sake sleeping well after her visit from boarding, that is a positive sign that she had an awesome time with the family.”
