About: I’ve taken care of both cats and dogs since I was a kid. There has always been a pet in my house while growing up. My family has relied on me to feed and play with the pets while they were away. I additionally have experience in caring for both young and senior pets. I’m currently working part-time, which means I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I’m available most days except for Wednesday & Thursday afternoons. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can accommodate if needed :) I currently have one cat in my home. I feed him, give him affection and play with him everyday. We also have a dog that lives at home with us. I take care of him when his owner is busy.

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I’ve spent years caring for my own dog, who experiences seizures, and my senior cat, whom I lovingly cared for through his final years. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness, and understanding that every pet has their own needs and personality. My passion for animals has also led me to pursue extensive academic and hands-on experience. I studied veterinary medicine throughout high school, completed an intensive summer program at Cornell’s College of Veterinary Medicine, earned a biology degree, and most recently interned rehabilitating New Jersey wildlife. I’m comfortable reading body language, recognizing concerning symptoms, administering medications, and providing canine and feline first aid and CPR. I’m detail-oriented and attentive to each pet’s needs, while also loving to play with energetic pets and keep them happy, engaged, and exercised! I’m available 7 days a week, day and night, for boarding clients, so your pet will have plenty of company and attention throughout their stay. I keep feeding and bathroom breaks consistent with their usual routine to help them feel comfortable and settled. We’ll typically go for a walk after lunch, with additional activity based on your pet’s needs. Playtime is tailored to their temperament and mood; whether they’re energetic and ready to play, or prefer some quiet cuddles and downtime. My goal is to keep their routine familiar, comfortable, and fun while they’re away from home. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have an unfenced yard, so all outdoor time is kept safely on leash. Pets are supervised closely throughout their stay, and I’m happy to use their crate if one is provided and it’s part of their normal routine. I also have a portable pet gate that can be used to safely section off the kitchen or stairs when needed. I want every pet to feel comfortable, secure, and cared for while giving owners peace of mind that their pets are in a safe and attentive environment.

About: Hello, my name is Jeffrey and I am an Animal Care Technician and Doggy Daycamp Counselor currently working at Best Friends Pet Hotel. I have worked there for over 2 years now as working with animals is my passion. Outside of working at a pet hotel, I have also been responsible for walking, feeding, and giving water to my neighbors dogs as well. As of right now I am currently a student at Penn State Univeristy, majoring in criminal justice in hopes of becoming a New Jersey State Trooper, I plan on becoming a K9 officer. About: I have had 3 family dogs throughout my life, I personally take care of reptiles and amphibians, and I genuinely love to care for animals! I personally own a bearded dragon named Ember and in the past, I have briefly homed poorly cared for lizards and found them new homes. My family currently has a pit bull terrier mix, named Nyla. She is the absolute light of my life and she truly made me realize how happy caring for animals made me. About: I have loved animals all my life. Since I was a young boy, I was raised around my family’s and my own cats, dogs, and all different kinds of pets. Dogs is my specialty, but I know what it takes to properly take care of and handle various different kinds of pets. I have my own beautiful dog, Ziya who is a 4 year old Belgian Malinois and Akita mix and I have had her since she was 8 weeks old. I personally trained her as well while I was in the military, which also gave me more knowledge on dog training and handling. I’m currently a full time student so I have more than enough time to pet sit. I am only unavailable on Tuesdays because I have my in-person class those days. I have my own home with a pet as well so I know what it takes to take care of the home and pets as well. I am very comfortable with other people pets and rules and boundaries with their animals, as I know ever animals deserves their respect and care they need.

At home, I have my Aussie, Harley, plus a fully fenced one-acre yard perfect for safe play and exercise. I’m active, dependable, and excited to provide loving care! My yard is about a half acre fully fenced in, trails behind which I am able to take dogs on walks and a quiet private cul de sac for walks. I have a 5yr old Australian Shepherd who is very playful and always looking for friends , but is respectful of the boundaries of another dog if they do not like to play.

“I will begin with my last paragraph: I highly recommend Vanessa as a pet sitter and would absolutely have her care for my dogs again. I feel very comfortable knowing that they—and my home—are in her hands. If you need more information, read on! I reached out to Vanessa to pet-sit in my home, including overnight stays, for three days. Given her background working at the EASEL shelter and her interest in special education and social work, I thought she would be an especially good fit for my two dogs: my eight-year-old, 80-pound poodle mix and my four-month-old, 15-pound Miniature American Shepherd puppy.
 I was somewhat anxious about leaving a young puppy with a sitter. At four months old, puppies are still learning, and I knew that inconsistent handling could easily lead to the development of unwanted habits. From our very first meeting, however, Vanessa gave me confidence that my dogs were in good hands.
 At our Meet & Greet, my large poodle mix approached Vanessa with his big, loud, deep bark. It was the first time he had ever met her and she handled the introduction beautifully. Rather than immediately trying to engage with him, she remained calm and allowed him the time and space to figure out that she was not a threat. She didn't overreact or become nervous, and the interaction went very well.
 When she met the puppy, who immediately started jumping on her, I said, "Off," at the same moment Vanessa said, "Down." She immediately adjusted and began using "Off" as well. That small moment told me a lot. It was clear that she was paying attention to the puppy's development and understood how important consistency is when training a young dog. She listened carefully to my concerns and gave me thoughtful feedback, which reassured me that she truly understood what I was looking for.
 While I was away, Vanessa sent me pictures and videos of the dogs eating both breakfast and dinner. This was especially reassuring with a four-month-old puppy because it confirmed that they were being fed at the appropriate times. I trust the sitters I hire, but I also appreciate having confirmation that they've arrived and knowing that important parts of the dogs' routine are being followed. I've had sitters in the past who didn't provide that kind of communication, leaving me wondering whether they had arrived or whether something unexpected had prevented them from getting there. A simple picture or message eliminates that unnecessary anxiety for me, and Vanessa was excellent about keeping me informed.
 After I returned, I asked Vanessa if she would be willing to sit again in a couple of weeks. She adjusted her schedule to accommodate my dates, which I thought was incredibly considerate and definitely above and beyond the call of duty!
 As I watched Vanessa interact with the dogs after spending three days with them, I could see that she understood the importance of correcting the puppy when necessary and, just as importantly, knew how to do it appropriately. She didn't overreact, but she also didn't let things slide. She was consistent about using the correct commands, which is particularly important with a puppy who is learning what is expected of her. I now have a list of obedience commands that I can leave for Vanessa on her next visit, and I have complete confidence that she will use them consistently.
 When I returned home, I found the house exactly as I had left it. Vanessa had even stripped the bed in the guest room, making it easier for me to wash the sheets. That small gesture was another example of how thoughtful and considerate she was throughout her stay.
 Vanessa is attentive, thoughtful, responsible, and genuinely caring. She clearly understands dogs, but what impressed me most was her attentiveness to my puppy's development and her willingness to follow through consistently with the training and routines I had established.
 I highly recommend Vanessa as a pet sitter and would absolutely have her care for my dogs again. I feel very comfortable knowing that they—and my home—are in her hands.”

Years later, we were lucky to bring Charlie home and Marvel, and they have been cherished members of our family for a few years. As a remote college student, I understand how important it is to find reliable help for your pets. I'm here for you and available to pet sit any day of the week or over the weekend. Your furry friends will be in good hands! I can walk your dog every 2-3 hours to ensure they get the exercise and attention they need. Additionally, I have a fenced yard with cameras for safety, where they can play. My own dog, Charlie, a friendly, neutered, vaccinated maltipoo, would love to have a companion to share some fun with! And Cocker spaniel named Marvel (he isn’t neutered yet due to age) who is also vaccinated.
