“My dogs are a bit on the high maintenance side and Ken was fabulous! Came home to two happy, healthy doggos who were very well cared for. Ken also had to deal with a major power outage at my home while we were away, and was not phased and helped keep the pipes from freezing! Would definitely recommend Ken and book him again.”
“Eric was a wonderful house and pet sitter! Our dog, Willow, loved Eric and his dog Rufus. Eric took Willow on many hikes and left our house in pristine condition. We would definitely recommend Eric to anyone living or staying in Summit County! Thank you so much!”

About: I have been taking care of a large variety of dogs for 20 years. From eight weeks old to 16 years old, from pugs to chows and pitbulls to 140 pound malamutes I have cared for them all. I can come by to walk and feed your best friends once a day or stay and cook them meals as per your request. I want to make sure you and your loved ones are as comfortable as possible while you are away. I do freelance work so I have pretty open availability. Making sure you're needs are met so you are comfortable is my top priority. If for some reason I can't meet all of your needs I will tell you before committing to something that doesn't fit my schedule or abilities. I am here for you. How I care for your pets and home is mostly dependent on your requests. I give medicine, food and exercise as requested. I can simply fill a food bowl, measure servings and even cook protein and veggies for your dogs if that is what you want. I am happy to keep you updated or send you pictures if you'd like. Walks are as far/long/plentiful as requested. I want to provide you with the comfort of knowing someone is there to care for your loved one as you would while you are away.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for family members and friends for years. I have experience with puppies, and senior dogs as well as reactive dogs. I have a flexible schedule so I will be able to spend plenty of time with your pet and make sure they are well taken care of. I am very active and can make sure your pets activities needs are met. I am happy to cater to whatever your pet needs to keep their daily routine.
About: I have three dogs of my own two of those being high energy. Additionally I spent some time in the veterinary field. My brother has had me dog sit for him on several occasions. I’m currently working extremely part time so I am available most mornings and afternoons. I am available most weekends as well and sometimes for overnight sits. I will take care of your fur babies as if they were my own. I love being outdoors so several walks per day is no issue.
“We left our two very active golden retrievers with Alec for the week. Along with plants to water and bird feeders to manage. He was professional, caring, and communicated well. My animals and home were tended as if it was his own ( or maybe his family home!) . I would never hesitate to have him come back and he certainly earned a 5 star rating. The house was clean on our return and although the dogs were excited to see us I could tell there was no stress evident from our absence.”

About: Hi! I’m semi- retired, flexible and here to help! I am an experienced and dedicated dog owner with over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of various breeds, ages, sizes, and temperaments. Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them isn’t just something I do — it’s something I truly love. I have extensive experience with both large and small breeds, including strong, high-energy dogs and those who need a little extra patience and understanding. I’m confident handling everything from tiny companions to powerful working breeds, and I’m comfortable managing leash manners, reactivity, and high-drive personalities. Over the years, I’ve also worked alongside several professional trainers to develop improve upon training techniques and deepen my understanding of canine behavior. This has given me strong skills in structure, positive reinforcement, consistency, and reading body language — ensuring every dog in my care feels safe, understood, and supported. I currently have two dogs of my own who keep me on my toes! One required daily medication and eye drops for most of her life and is now blind, so I’m very experienced with administering medication, caring for special needs dogs, and providing the extra patience and environmental awareness they require. My other is a 90lb Rottweiler — a big, strong, lovable goofball — so I’m more than comfortable handling large, powerful breeds with confidence and control. Whether your dog needs structured walks, medication management, extra patience, or just lots of love and play, I provide reliable, attentive, and compassionate care tailored to their individual needs. I treat every dog as if they were my own and prioritize safety, routine, and plenty of affection. I’d love to meet your pup and provide them with a fun, safe, and caring experience! I’m currently semi retired so have flexibility to adapt to your dogs needs, routine and playtime! I love going for walks, helping with training, providing mental stimulation as well as exercise. My dogs are pretty “spoiled” according to my friends; they eat (home prepared meals) 3 times a day (not including treats) and get tons of attention. I’m happy to provide the same level of love, attentiveness and care to any and every dog I possibly can. 💜 I have a small fenced in yard and a comfortable cozy home. I do have two dogs but have the ability to keep mine separate if needed. If requesting home sitting services, I have done the same and fully understand the level of of trust, cleanliness and respect needed in these situations.
About: Love borrowing my friends dogs for hikes! I do a lot of hiking alone, so it makes me feel a little bit safer to take a pup on a hike with me. Hikes are about an hour long. I have several long time clients throughout the county, that I help while out of town or walk dogs weekly. I have watched cats, Small dogs, all the way up to an Alaskan Malamutes, she just passed away so I am looking for a new dog bff. I have taken care of dogs my whole life and have dog sat for different families for years so I am used to a variety of dogs and their different needs. I have a small, unfenced in patio/yard and a park across the street from home. I’m a busy bartender and server on the weekends, so weekdays I’m more available to help out more full time. “Emma did an absolute amazing job with my pup! Kept in contact and sent pics. I would highly recommend her! She not only took great care of Bear Bear, but also of my home. Thank you Emma!”

“Jadyn did a great job with my little fur ball. She walked her multiple times and took many pictures. She was also flexible with her time when we ran into a traffic issue. Definitely will use her again.”

“Bryan was great with my dogs. Constant communication and pictures/videos sent without me asking. Would 100% use him again for house sitting and other services. Fantastic experience.”
About: I've grown up with dogs and have been a resource for friends and neighbors to rely on for taking care of their pets while they are traveling or at work. Happy to travel around Summit County and nearby areas. I work from home a lot of the time, so I have a great schedule for walks, activities and lots of love. I try to spend as much of my free time outside at parks, on walks or hikes and just outside in general! I do not currently have pets and am willing to travel to your home for pet car and overnight stays. I will take great care of your pet and offer a safe, loving friend for them while you are away.
“Mitch was available last minute for some holiday plans that got moved around. He always responded very quickly. Our dogs were very comfortable around him and he left our house exactly as he found it! We’ve never had someone we don’t know stay in our house while we were gone but Mitch made us feel very comfortable.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Georgetown walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Georgetown maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Georgetown choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
