About: I have had a strong care for animals ever since I was young, whether they were my own or not. I have had pets since I was 5 and have dog / cat sat for 3+ years now: animals with medication needs, young babies, or even senior pups, are all welcome by me and are never seen as a hassle :) My goal is to build trust in your pet and love them as my own. I understand that a safe comfortable environment is a must for your fur baby! I am an upcoming college student who just graduated from high school. I plan on attending school in the fall, so my summer will be free! i’m available for drop ins, house sitting, walks, and doggy baths! Following instructions that accommodate the owners pet has never been an issue for me. I have dog and cat sat many times and know everyone has their own parenting preferences; whether that be crating a dog at night, timely feedings, or medications needed. I strive to care for your animals as if they are my own :)
“Jessica is amazing! It was our first time using her, she came before hand to meet our pets and was very outgoing and friendly. She sent us pics while we were away and was always quick to respond with any questions or concerns.”

“Carolina was friendly, clearly loves dogs, and followed through with all my requests for the dog walk. She took very good care of our four-legged family member. I will be using her again.”
About: When you trust someone with your pet, experience matters. I bring a unique combination of professional training, veterinary knowledge, and hands-on pet care experience that few pet sitters can offer. I have 24 years of professional dog training experience and formal education as a veterinary technician, allowing me to recognize health concerns early and provide knowledgeable care for pets with medical needs. I'm especially comfortable caring for dogs who may not be a good fit for the average sitter, including seniors, puppies, fearful dogs, reactive dogs, dogs with behavior challenges, and pets requiring medication or specialized handling. My training background helps me understand canine body language, reduce stress, and create positive experiences while you're away. Whether your pet needs a simple walk, overnight care, medication administration, or extra patience and understanding, you can have peace of mind knowing they're in experienced hands. My goal is not only to keep your pet safe and comfortable but to ensure they are treated with the same care, attention, and respect that I give my own dogs. Professional experience. Veterinary knowledge. Compassionate care. That's the difference your pet deserves. Dogs aren't just my job—they've been my life's work for more than 24 years. As a professional dog trainer and pet care provider, my daily life revolves around caring for animals, understanding their behavior, and helping them thrive. I genuinely enjoy spending my time with pets, whether that's taking a long walk, providing companionship while you're away, administering medications, or helping an anxious dog feel safe and comfortable. Because pet care is my full-time profession, I have the flexibility to accommodate many pets' individual needs. Whether your dog needs extra exercise, structured routines, medication, training reinforcement, senior care, puppy supervision, or simply lots of attention and affection, I'm committed to providing the level of care that helps them feel secure and happy while you're away. My background as a veterinary technician and my 24 years of dog training experience allow me to provide care that goes beyond basic pet sitting. I understand canine body language, behavior, health concerns, and how to adapt to each pet's unique personality and needs. When your pet stays with me or receives care from me, they're not just another booking—they're treated like family. This version highlights professionalism, vigilance, and trustworthiness in a way that appeals to pet owners: Nothing is more important to me than your pet's safety and well-being. With 24 years of professional dog training experience and education as a veterinary technician, I've learned that keeping pets safe isn't just about following instructions—it's about anticipating problems before they happen. I'm constantly observing body language, monitoring the environment, and making thoughtful decisions that protect the pets in my care. Whether we're on a walk, relaxing at home, or enjoying playtime, I'm always paying attention to potential hazards such as loose dogs, wildlife, unsafe objects, extreme weather, traffic, toxic substances, and situations that could create fear, stress, or conflict. My training background has taught me how to recognize subtle signs of discomfort or anxiety so I can adjust before a small concern becomes a bigger problem. Pet owners trust me because I am dependable, detail-oriented, and treat every pet as if they were my own. I carefully follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, exercise routines, and household rules. I believe communication is an important part of trust, so I provide updates and photos to help you feel confident that your pet is happy, healthy, and receiving excellent care. My goal is simple: when you leave your pet in my care, you can relax knowing they are being supervised by someone whose entire career has been dedicated to understanding animals, keeping them safe, and helping them thrive.

About: Hello! My name is Shay and i’m a 20 year old dog sitter with many years of experience! I’m a third year college student at UCF and trying to make some money while also gaining experience and connections. I’m a reliable and caring animal lover with a lifetime of experience around pets. I’ve been taking care of animals since I got my dog in middle school and have been taking care of other people’s dogs ever since I could start driving! Also, for the past year I’ve regularly dog sat for a police officer and her retired senior K-9, building trust and consistency with both owner and pup. I understand how important it is to keep pets safe, happy, and comfortable, whether it’s during a walk or while you’re away. I treat every dog like my own and always make sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I structure my days around pet care, so I have plenty of availability for visits and check-ins. Along with my experience as a full-time caregiver, I bring patience, reliability, and a strong focus on each pet’s needs. Safety and trust are my top priorities. For drop-ins, I carefully follow your pet’s routine, including feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and playtime, while making sure your home is secure. For house sitting, I maintain your pet’s normal schedule to keep them comfortable and stress-free, and I treat your home with the same respect and care as my own.

“Alexa is awesome she treats my dog like her own. Without me telling her, she took the time to put my dogs booties on before walking her because of the snow. I know that Diva is in good hands when Alexa takes care of her!”
About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and recently discovered a love for cats, thanks to my girlfriend, an animal lover who shares my passion and helps care for the pets we sit. Together, we bring a calm, caring, and experienced presence to every pet we meet. I’ve cared for animals as young as 1 week old and as senior as 19 years. I offer basic training for both dogs and cats (sit, lay, paw) and have experience administering pills and liquid medication when needed. Whether it’s a playful pup, a shy cat, or a senior pet with special needs, I provide trustworthy, loving care tailored to each animal’s age and personality. I’m a full-time Computer Science student, so I’m home pretty much all the time, working on school. My girlfriend is also home a lot, so your pet will always have someone around to keep them company. Whether it's playtime, cuddles, or just chilling together, your furry friend will get all the attention they need! I understand how important it is to have someone reliable looking after your pets while you're away. I live in a cozy 2 bedroom apartment, and I’m home most of the time, so your pets will always be under supervision in a safe, clean, and loving environment. Whether you prefer care in my home, yours, or a mix of both, I offer flexible options to fit your needs. I can stay at your house to keep your pets comfortable in their familiar surroundings, or if you'd like them to have a change of scenery, they’re welcome to come to my home for a stay. If you're looking for something more short-term, I can also do drop-in visits to feed, play, and check in on them. Rest assured, your pet will receive plenty of attention, love, and care, just like they would at home.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
