“Sholeh was wonderful with our Nori! She’s warm and easy to communicate with, and was flexible. Nori can be a nervous pup around new people, but Sholeh’s experience really showed — she was patient and gave her space to warm up at her own pace. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely book again!”

“Ashley came through on a last minutes reservation for me. They were able to take raider for a long walk for me and were a very nice couple. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in the area.”

About: In recent years, I have built a strong trustworthy reputation via more than 80 (yep, eighty) 5-star reviews on a leading house/pet care platform. Photos of some were in here, but the system removed them. Happy to share that information with you when we are in contact. Most sits span several weeks, with a 4-week minimum being easiest on the schedule. I do tend to book in advance. Because I have cared for senior pets (several being older than 15: both dogs and cats, some sight or hearing or limb-disabled), administered meds which also includes insulin shots, and managed various sizes and breeds, pet parents and high end homeowners appreciate this reliability and standard. In some cases, we have only Zoomed before a sit, and never met in-person. Due to great reciprocal communication, the results were wonderful. I offer experience both house & pet-sitting, and am a former (& future) homeowner. I’ve had all kinds of pets throughout my entire life. In adulthood, a Lhasa Apso was my co-pilot for 13 years, and I will have others. For now, I enjoy supporting and caring for yours. Let’s Zoom and take it from there. Looking forward. We will discuss this. Historically (for more than 20 years), I have been able to work from anywhere. We can talk through the options together. Unless you hire me for an overnight sit, I will be coming to them for drop-in or other care. I will not be bringing your pet(s) to my location.
About: We had two corgis who lived long full lives walking them out at River Park or around our old Lompoc neighborhood was always special. I believe in keeping dogs close and nurturing them with positive reinforcement. I am training for half marathons again. Our dogs were my best running buddies. I like having a pet temporarily. I work as a realtor so I am in charge of my schedule. Taking and sending photos of your dogs' stays in progress is fun. I am very responsible. Our girl corgi was a 5 week old puppy when we got her. After we adopted the boy at 2 years old he was a 4H dog that we trained and learned to train for showing. Taking care of my BFF's cat and dog while she traveled for five to seven days in a few occasions was a special experience. Providing hospitality to pets in their home is my pleasure. Looking forward to seeing you and meeting and spending time with your pet Currently the only scheduled obligation I have is an environmental horticulture class at sbcc on Thursdays ends 05/25. Taking golf this summer. Looking forward to meeting new dogs in their homes. Taking care of dogs in their own home is a seamless way for your dog to feel secure and well taken care of with minimal changes for your dog to adjust to.
About: I grew up taking care of animals since the age of 12. Whenever family, friends, or neighbors needed someone to take care of their furry bestie; I gave them the a blast! I enjoy taking them on long walks/hikes, teach them tricks or polite manners, play with their favorite toy, and last but not least putting them to sleep by singing to them if they need snuggle time. Back to the present, I just graduated UCSC with a bachelor’s in Economics and I have a lot of availability. Taking care of someone's loving best friend would be an honored to spend my time for. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Love, Natalie N💜 I am very flexible since I just graduated UCSC and have a lot of time on my hands to use. And I would love to spend more time with animals.❤️ I am able to go to anyones home to take care of their dog if their owner is working or out of town. I am unable to bring them to my home that I share with others, due to no cats or dogs allowed. However, I don’t want that limitation to keep me away from my furry friends☺️ Im available every day of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I really want to make time for our furry friends☺️ I play with them and get them tired enough for them go feel relaxed and safe. I also take them on long walks and feed them:)

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Gaviota. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Gaviota.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gaviota. On Rover:
- 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
