Depending on the amount of time I am able to have with the pets, we often go for 3-4 hour long walks/runs a day. I do work full time away from home. Growing up in Tennessee, my family had a running total of 10 cats and 2 dogs. We had kittens, strays, and elderly pets. All of our cats were shorthaired, but my grandmother had a longhaired cat. I briefly took care of another longhaired cat that a friend found in his neighborhood. He couldn’t keep it and knew I had experience with cats, so he called me and I took it in until we found its owner. The dogs I grew up with were very different. We got Hook, our black labrador retriever, from a breeder. He came with a pedigree and everything. Years later, in his old age, a corgi mix showed up at our house. We weren’t able to find her owners and we ended up keeping her. I credit her with keeping Hook alive a little longer. I know how much of a difference our animals can make. I have done petsitting in the client’s home and in my own home with pets, often with multiple animals at one time. I even kept three guinea pigs for about a week in December 2023. In Tennessee, I worked as a volunteer at a local animal shelter, reading to cats and dogs through a program designed to help socialize the animals. I am unable to pet sit animals in my current apartment, and would treat it as a privilege to be let in your home in any capacity. My current job is a flexible, part time, remote job that I can do from anywhere. This leaves me with a lot of availability for your pet!
