I’m a freelance photographer and writer, looking to live a more active lifestyle. I’d love to take your dogs on a midday potty break, or provide your cat with some attention and a snack ☺️ I am also available after 6 p.m. most weekdays and from morning to evening on the weekends!

It is important to me that I know your dog's medical history, if applicable. I am more than capable in emergencies, as long as the background information is provided. I'd prefer to schedule meet and greets with any new pet parents to be sure your pet if comfortable with me as a caregiver. I find pets are usually much more comfortable if they know you are a "friend of mom and dad" and I want them to have the best experience possible with me!
Ein typischer Tag
I enjoy taking pups on local short trails, or in their favorite neighborhood. Dogs that I've cared for in the past would give my fetch game a 10/10 barks :) I am also happy to accommodate any dog with slower paced needs with a quick potty break and some couch cuddles or indoor play. For cats, I like to make my presence known in the house, this is especially helpful if I get to spend time with them while the owner is home, and offer treats or toys. I completely understand if I never see your cat and am happy to care for litter boxes, top off water and fill food bowls, all felines are different. If at all possible, and for you and your pet's comfort, I'd prefer to see that they are doing well and am happy to help them get comfortable with me before your time away.

I am a lover of all things flora and fauna. I grew up with three dogs in the house, all different sizes. I cared for my 16 year old lab mix from her animal shelter adoption until her passing a couple years ago. Since then, a wonderful cat adopted me and I couldn't be more grateful to have another pet to love through this season of life. I've also owned and cared for a menagerie of exotic pets from gerbils and fish, to snakes and bearded dragons. I love animals more than most people and spending time with them always makes me a better person. I am comfortable with medication routines as well as any normal needs your pet may have. I am a 32 year old freelance writer and photographer, so you know I'll be sure to share pictures of your pet while you're away! I've also spent a significant amount of time volunteering at local shelters and was the organizer of an annual pet shelter donation drive for a few counties throughout West Virginia and Virginia. Animals and their welfare are one of my true passions in life. Thanks for reading and hope to meet you soon! 🐱🐾🐶

Emily was wonderful with Jux! Not only was she able to take on the request last minute, but was super responsive, wanted to know precise care instructions to ensure Jux was happy, and kept me updated while I was out of town with visit updates! I am sure I will be requesting Emily again for dog sitting Jux during any future business trips, and would strongly recommend her to anyone looking for an above qualified and caring new friend for their dog or cat!!!
Absolutely the best. First time I’ve ever left my “babies with anyone other than family and I can’t even explain how thrilled I am.
Emily has wat he'd my animals for me multiple times. My dog and cats love her. My snake is indifferent, as usual. She follows all instruction for care, and really give them the individual love they need when I'm away.
Emily has sat with our pets probably a dozen times! She's kind, caring, attentive to their needs and they all absolutely love her. We've come home late at night and found her asleep on the couch curled up with our most skittish cat, who was happily purring away! I will never hesitate to recommend her as a pet sitter! If you want your pets to be loved and taken care of while you're gone, Emily is the person to call!
