About: I specialize in high maintenance furbabies. Whether you have a puppy that needs extra attention to reinforce training, a senior that needs a soft touch, or they are somewhere in the middle with regular separation anxiety, I will keep your pup on their routine and feeling secure until your return! I work from home part-time so I'm able to accommodate your dog's typical schedule. There are no other pets or children in the home competing for attention. I am able to truly enjoy my time with each pup. I have a fenced in backyard, but if there is a risk your pet will dig or jump , I will keep your explorer on a leash when we are outdoors. Generally, I avoid socializing dogs while in my care.
About: I have hands-on experience caring for both senior dogs and high-energy breeds. I lovingly cared for my older dog through her later years and now keep up with my energetic, affectionate Staffy. I’m patient, reliable, and confident handling a wide range of dog personalities and needs. I'm currently a nursing student and balance my class and clinical schedule to make time for pet care. My schedule changes with each semester so please ask about my availability for future months. I’ll get back to you ASAP with my schedule. Despite my busy schedule, I’m committed to providing attentive, loving care to every pet I look after. When caring for your fur-baby in your home, I treat them as if they were my own—with love, patience, and full attention. I follow your routine closely to keep your pet feeling safe, comfortable, and stress-free while you're away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, feeding, or cuddles, I make sure your pet feels secure and happy in their familiar environment. Their well-being and your trust mean everything to me.
About: I have always had pets growing up, anywhere from birds and pigs to dogs and cats. I love them all. I currently have 3 cats who are my children. Don't be worried, I'm also a dog person! It’s summer time! I’m in between semesters, and would love to take care of your pets in my free time! Outside of travel plans, I’m available all summer! I will follow all rules set forth regarding your best interest for your pets. You can rest assured that your pets will be in good hands.
About: Hey Y’all! As a full time student in Galveston, work is hard to find but I would love the opportunity to care for your dog(s) while you are out of town enjoying summer! I have open availability just let me know what days you need help and I’ll be there! I am a full time physical therapy student. Pet care fits in my schedule when I am not in class. I have set my pricing to accommodate the various needs of owners. 30 minute walks/drop ins are priced at $20 an hour. This includes feeding/watering your pet if needed! This option is best if your pet can handle being home by themselves but still needs a few check-ins throughout your time away for feeding and potty breaks. (I have had previous clients do one morning and one night drop in, i have had clients do morning, after school, and night visits, and i have had clients request i visit their house every 4-5 hours- this gives you autonomy in how often you want your pets to be visited and the time frames in which i visit!) Overnight stays are priced at $100 per 24 hours. This price was determined based on my drop in price. When staying in your home, I will be providing your pet with ample attention to include 3-5 walks per day ($20x5). This pricing allows flexibility for those who want their pet to have my undivided attention while they are away, or for those who only need the necessities covered to still pay a reasonable price for their care needs. I am open to negotiation for non-busy weekdays/weekends but I do also have to value my time and effort! When I care for a pet in their home, I like to be consistent as possible with how their owner treats them. The pet is in the comfort of their own home, so they should be allowed to be comfortable and do the things they usually do. This involves talking with the owner about what is allowed (can dogs be on the couch, do dogs sleep in the bed) and what does the dog like to do for fun (bath time, fetch, walks, being petted).
“Joseph is great, he takes four of my girls frenchies on walls and he gives them attention and snacks. He also goes the extra mile and changes their puppy pads if it needs to be changed. I really appreciate him”

About: I grew up with a family dog named Cookie and I have always been around pets my whole life and have watched over friends and family’s pets, and neighbors! Currently I do not have any pets. My schedule is flexible. I am a student at UTMB. My weekday schedule is primarily at school & weekends off but am available most days of the week! I enjoy playing with pets and cuddling up with them on my couch. I live in a gated community with a dog park nearby to walk your pets around!
“Kendra, was great with our Chico. She was very punctual and loving, which we and Chico really appreciated. We felt very comfortable with Kendra taking care of Chico, we will definitely use her again soon.”

“Cathy was such a big help! I travel for work and I stress out about our puppy not getting enough exercise. I would rebook Cathy for my future trips and would recommend to others :)”

About: I have always loved dogs! I grew up with a king charles as my family dog. I now have a 3 year old golden retriever. I have worked with many trainers (classes and private) and feel confident in my dog training skills. I am informed on dog behaviors and signals. I care deeply about making sure a dog is comfortable and happy! I am currently in school where I have class for half a day, Monday - Thursday. This means I home quite a bit. My boyfriend is also in school, and he has close to an opposite schedule where he is gone in the afternoons but home in the morning. Our dog is rarely left for more than 2 hours by herself. We have a fenced in backyard. We have a golden retriever and super friendly cat to keep furbabies company. Both of them are good with other cats and dogs. We have plenty of dog toys, balls, ropes, frisbees, anything you could imagine. Our animals are welcome on our furniture with us, so lots of time for snuggles.
About: Hello Furry Friend Lovers! My name is Kristen and I have been a dog owner and canine caretaker since I could crawl. I have professional experience working at a pet store and a veterinary clinic as a veterinary technician. Therefore, I am skilled in administering medication if needed. In addition, I will follow your pet's dietary regimen to the letter. I have experience with dogs and cats big and small, and of all ages as well as exotic pets such as rodents, bird and reptiles. I will help your dog gain their 10,000 daily "petbit" steps 😅 Right now I have 3 lovely pet rats that are like pocket puppies. I'm still mourning the loss of my long-time companion, Triskit, so I do not have dogs right now which means I have even more room to love yours!! I can't wait to meet your furry best friend! I am currently in between jobs so I am available to help take care of pets on a full time basis! Whether this is several walks a day or anything else, I am here for you and your furry friend! Animals welcomed into my home can make themselves at home. If I'm housesitting, you'll never know I what there and leave things better than I found them. Happy to stay in contact and send you pics of your furry friends while you're gone.
About: I've been around animals for my whole life, and have been taking care of other people's animals for at least half of it. I have pet sit before for both dogs and cats, and my main priority is always to keep the animals healthy and happy! Whether you need a hand for a day or help all week, I'm down to do everything from taking pets to vet appointments, going on walks, feeding and bathing, giving medications, and (of course) picking up poop, whether it's in the grass or in a litter box! I am in college but have a relatively flexible schedule and can easily do drop-ins and give walks most of the day on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Will update schedule during winter break! I live in an apartment created in the lower level of a house and would need to have permission from the landlord to be able to host animals there (in addition to my own dog). I am always willing to go to a client's house! I have my own car and am able to take your pets anywhere they need to go!
About: Hi there! My name is Haylie and I’m a nursing student at UTMB. I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud owner of nine amazing pups of all different breeds and sizes. Taking care of them every day has given me tons of experience with all kinds of personalities, routines, and special needs. I truly love spending time with animals and making sure they feel happy, loved, and well cared for. Since I was unable to bring my dogs to school with me, I’d love to help take care of others! Whether it’s playtime, walks, or snuggles, I’ll treat your pets like part of my own family! As a nursing student, I’ve learned how to balance responsibility, care, and time management — skills that carry over perfectly into pet sitting. I usually finish my classes around 4 p.m. most days, which gives me plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings to care for pets. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. I make sure every pet is well looked after, loved, and secure while their owners are away
About: I have 2 senior dogs and 2 young cats at home. I know from personal experience every animal has their own needs, differences, and personalities. Your animal will be taken care of as not just a pet, but a friend! They deserve as much love as they would get if you were there! I am free mostly on weekends as weekdays I am a full time student at Texas A&M University at Galveston. But the earlier you message me the more I am able to move my schedule around. I live on a safe and pet friendly campus. I am an active person so walks, runs, and playing are all on the table! Indoor activities for shy pets are also great as I have plenty of homework!
About: I’ve grown up with all types of dogs in my house and around me! I started caring for pets that aren’t mine at the ripe age of 13 and have never stopped! I’m looking forward to meeting and getting to know your fur friend! Pets are a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I truly enjoy. As a part-time barista, my schedule is very flexible, which allows me to plan my day around their needs. Whether it’s morning walks, midday play sessions, or evening cuddles, I prioritize making sure each pet feels cared for, loved, and happy throughout the day. In my home, I create a cozy, pet-friendly environment where your furry friend can feel safe and relaxed. I’ll make sure they have plenty of space to roam, comfortable spots to rest, and, of course, lots of attention and affection. If your pet has a special routine, I’ll follow it closely to help them feel right at home. In your home, I treat your space and your pet with the utmost care and respect. I stick to your established routines, from feeding schedules to walk times, and make sure your pet feels secure in their familiar surroundings. Whether at my place or yours, my priority is ensuring your pet feels loved and well cared for.

About: Growing up, my home was filled with animals of all kinds from small to large dogs including Dachshund, Husky, and medium to large mixed breed dogs, as well as an outdoor cat, fish, hermit crabs, lizards, and birds. I have been a lifelong animal caretaker and feel very comfortable with a wide range of species and temperaments. One of my most meaningful experiences was caring for my cockatiel who lived to be over 14 1/2 years old under my care. In my teens, I also trained in horseback riding and learned foundational horse care. With dogs, I have experience in structured obedience training up to the intermediate level as well as introducing agility based skills and enrichment work. Currently, I provide consistent care for a senior 19 year old dog in my home alongside a younger high energy Dachshund. This has given me ongoing real world experience balancing senior comfort care with active dogs in a calm and stable home environment. My approach is calm, attentive, and highly individualized. I prioritize each pet’s emotional state, routine stability, and safety with an emphasis on low stress handling and clear communication. My goal is to provide care that feels grounded, consistent, and deeply trustworthy so you can feel fully at ease while you are away. I appreciate detailed information about each pet’s routine, preferences, and behavioral tendencies. This includes separation anxiety, reactivity including leash or sound, fear responses, or any sensitivities. These details allow me to provide the highest level of tailored care. Rates listed are general starting estimates and may vary depending on level of care required, number of pets, schedule, and travel distance. Premium or extended care needs including last minute bookings, extended radius travel, or continuous supervision up to about 8 hours can be accommodated and quoted based on your specific situation. My current schedule is pretty flexible. For drop-ins I'm typically available after 8 am until 9 pm in the evenings. I can do drop ins, walks, and/or doggy day/night sitting. I am happy to give your animals my undivided attention as I walk them or play with them at your residence. I'm very clean, considerate, and attuned to animals. I stay highly communicative and am happy to take lots of photos for updates.
“Jennifer was punctual and professional yet so very kind to me and my fur-baby. She asked the right questions about how to best care for Morris. Will definitely be using Jennifer again to walk our baby.”

Lexi was great! I work a job where I have to travel for awhile and my husband works late hours. She was so helpful to make sure sully got taken out and was able to go to the bathroom. Sully is still a puppy and he’s a lot to deal with so we were very appreciative that Lexi was willing to work with him.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
