About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and ages over the past 45 years from my poodle mix, Brutus, to my most beloved black lab, Gracie Ann. Currently, my Siberian cat, Jimmy, seems to be raising me! I spend time loving my grand-dogs and grand-cat as well. I was trained as a Capital Area Humane Society dog walker. I do find a special place in my heart for the senior pet. I am recently retired, so my schedule is flexible. I do volunteer work, dabble in some hobbies but there is still plenty of time available to take a walk or drop in and make sure your pet is safe. Even an overnight is possible. Due to apartment living, I would need to take care of pets in your home. I am available during the week and some weekends. I’m both an early riser and end the night after the evening news. All of my pets have been considered part of my family and they get the best of my love, including good food, vet care and are usually “spoiled rotten”. BUT, I am respectful of owners’ living space and requests. I am very organized and will provide safe and loving care. My prices are flexible as we all are on a budget yet we want the best care for our 4 legged family members. I promise to care for your children just like my own.

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and understand that pets are family. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I’m patient, dependable, attentive to routines, and skilled at recognizing behavioral changes and individual needs. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to care for their dogs by feeding them, taking them on walks, providing companionship, administering basic medications when instructed, and making sure they feel safe and loved while their owners are away. I have experience providing both in-home pet sitting and boarding dogs in my own home. Before transitioning into the corporate world, I partnered with a friend who owned a successful dog-sitting business, where I cared for pets for approximately six years. During that time, I gained experience working with dogs of different breeds, sizes, personalities, and care needs. I’m now excited to return to pet care because it’s something I truly enjoy. I enjoy spending quality time with pets of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. Whether your pet needs exercise, playtime, cuddles, or simply someone reliable to keep them company, I’ll treat them with the same love and attention I give my own animals. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your furry family member is in caring and trustworthy hands. I work a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide dependable and attentive care for your pets. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I’m happy to accommodate feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication routines, and plenty of affection. I’ll communicate with you throughout each visit by sending updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions before every visit. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or taking them for a walk, I’ll provide patient, loving, and attentive care while respecting your home and your pet’s boundaries. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to making sure your furry family member feels comfortable, secure, and loved every step of the way.

About: I have years of experience caring for my own dogs, as well as the pets of friends and family. I fostered for a local rescue group for 5 years and also worked for 2 years as a veterinary assistant, where I gained experience caring for dogs with all sorts of medical and behavioral needs. I have fostered many different types of dogs of different energy levels and sizes. My personal dog is a Jack Russell mix whom I adopted through Franklin County. I am also experienced in giving various types of medications and am willing to work with special needs dogs. I also have a bearded dragon, two rats, a tarantula and some other invertebrates, so if you have any unique pets you need help caring for, let me know! I have a fully remote job that has flexible hours. I work a typical Monday-Friday 8-4 schedule, however I am able to work from your home if needed as long as there is wifi and a place for me to set down my laptop. On weekends, I am happy to take your pets around to a local park, a pet store, or anything else that may help them feel pampered and happy. I have my own car so can arrive and leave at my leisure. I am happy to bring a book or a crochet project to your house and hang out with your pet if they would prefer just knowing someone is around, and I can also take them on walks and help wear them out so they are ready to relax with you after the work day is done.

I also lived in Utah for a year where I worked for an independently owned pet care company that offered services for cats, dogs, birds, and more! I absolutely adore animals, and id love to give your fur and feather babies the care they deserve I am currently available mon-sun from 9:00am - 7:00pm with flexibility depending on the day. I want to put as much time as possible into this! I am very respectful and have in-home pet care experience. I like to leave a home nicer than i found it. About: I have 2 beautiful dogs. I have been taking care of dogs for over seven years now. I have personally trained my own dogs and their are both well behaved boys! Hi there! 🐾 I’m excited to offer reliable, compassionate pet care services designed to keep your furry family members happy, healthy, and comfortable while you’re away. I currently provide drop-in visits and dog walking services every day except Tuesday, as well as doggy daycare on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. As a full-time nursing student, I’ve developed strong skills in responsibility, attentiveness, and care. My background in healthcare means I’m comfortable following detailed instructions, recognizing changes in behavior, and responding calmly in unexpected situations. While I may not have formal veterinary training, I bring a nurturing, detail-oriented approach that translates naturally into high-quality pet care. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet in someone else’s hands, and I take that responsibility seriously. My schedule is structured but flexible within my available days. Because I am in school full-time, I carefully plan my availability to ensure I can dedicate quality time and focused attention to each pet I care for. I do not rush visits—I prioritize meaningful interaction so your pet feels comfortable and cared for, not just “checked on.” Whether you need a quick drop-in, a refreshing walk, or a full day of care, I’m here to help make your life easier and your pet’s day brighter. I look forward to meeting you and your furry companion! 🐶💛 I can care for your fur babies in any environment. In my home I have a fenced in backyard where your baby can run free. I treat animals like humans and they are all welcomed on the furniture! I try to stay fairly active so I can take your dog on short jogs or long walks.

About: I love dogs! I’ve always loved them. When i got my first dog at 8 I was terrified. I would scream and jump on the toilet. She wasn’t even the size of my backpack lol. As the years went on I grew not only a pet but a sister! She was there for me even when i didn’t think i needed her. I want to give your pet the same love I gave to her! Right now i have a mini golden doodle. She is a very special dog lol. She gets on my nerves but i wouldn’t trade her for anything. She’s always doing different things to keep me on my toes. I would make sure that your dog is properly cared for. Whether that is playing fetch with them or taking them for a walk. I live in an apartment that has a huge field. They will get the proper exercise for sure. I love to run with them.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
