Brandy did a great job caring for our dogs. She stayed with them the entire time we were away, which gave us real peace of mind. It was clear they were comfortable and well cared for when we returned. We truly appreciated her reliability and dedication.

It is super hard for those of us with elderly animals to find peace of mind when you have to leave your precious pet, they may have anxiety, medical issues, and certainly confusion over the temporary change. Add to that, the my dog hasn't had a non family member sitter in many years, and there was a decent amount of stress going into this sort trip. Catelyn was quite literally a saving grace for me. She gave me updates consistently, updating on food, potty times, and Nonnie's general behavior. But more than that - she absolutely gave me confidence that my sweet old lady was in the best of hands. I could not have asked for a more caring and compassionate sitter. It is clear that she loves dogs, and cares for all of those in her charge as her own. She even went above and beyond by cleaning up the doggie food containers, picking up poop in the backyard and changing out the sheets on the bed (just all star moves right there) It was wonderful knowing that I had someone so competent with my dog and my house. I will absolutely not hesitate to book her for my next out of town trip.

Chris was terrific! She all but adopted my little, old Maltese. She tended all her many needs and made her feel at home. She also tended to my old house: organized my pantry and even cleaned out my very messy fridge! HIghly recommend!

About: I used to foster dogs. My yard is pretty big and I have a doggie door. My dogs do not mind visitors. I am off work during the summer and all major holidays. I am a teacher so I am off for the summers. When school is in session, I get off early and I am usually home before 4pm. I have a fenced in yard that can be accessed by a doggie door. I have 3 small dogs. I walk them and play with them on a regular basis. I also have 2 cats.

About: HIGHLIGHTS: -Insured -Comfortable w/ large and small dogs and knows the different requirements in care -No kids in home -Dog kennels provided for when necessary, no need to lug yours with you -38 year old home owner w/ privacy fence in back yard -Work from home sitter -Regular updates and pictures -Has read dog psychology and taken dog training classes with my dog. I believe pets deserve respect and autonomy and I'll do my best to treat your babies like I treat my own boys. I've read a few dog psychology books so I do have a good understanding of different communication styles that dogs may have and I have experience with reactive dogs and elderly dogs as well. When I walk your dog, I have no problems communicating with strangers and setting boundaries. I am very protective of my animal clients peace and safety. I always err on the side of caution. With pets, I am gentle but firm and it creates an environment that dogs love. I love playing with dogs and engaging their minds. I also communicate with your pet to ensure they are happy (which room they prefer, how they like to be pet, how they like to be played with) and I tell them every day that you're coming back. I genuinely love each animal that I interact with and treat them how I'd want them to be treated if they were mine. I'm also punctual and communicative. My late dog was also reactive and could be aggressive, so I have experience dealing with large dogs that have strong boundaries. I work from home so I am available to stay with your pet all day long! When I do leave, it's usually never for more than 4 hours and I have a L crate and an XL crate that your babies can stay in if needed. For sitting in your home, I do bring my 6lb chihuahua. If your dog needs to be separated from small I have a large backyard with a privacy fence on all four sides. I have a 20 y/o but there is a pet gate that keeps the house in two parts. Your pet will not interact with my pet at all. Dogs have their own room and will be allowed free roam of one half of my home. It's a large space.

About: Hi, I'm Raina! I love caring for dogs and cats and have years of experience, including with my late dog Coco, who lived to 15. I offer pet sitting at my home with a secure, fenced-in backyard, ensuring a safe and fun environment. I take animal care seriously, providing consistent, loving, and responsible attention, including any needed medical care. You can trust that your pets will receive the same love and protection I gave to Coco, with plenty of photo updates to keep you connected. I look forward to caring for your furry family members! I am usually working from home so I will be available to care for your pets. I am available for boarding on weekends and weekdays. I have a fenced yard and a friendly cat to keep your pet company. I ensure top-notch care by carefully boarding pets that I believe will do well in my house. To provide the best experience, I would need to know your pet's daily routines, medication requirements, and any other special needs.

Max & Maggie ❤️ Audrey. They are both rescues, one of which was rescued from pretty harsh conditions, & Audrey gives her special attention & took time to bond with her. We'll always use Audrey in the future for our fur babies. She's for sure the dog whisperer, very trustworthy & knowledgeable when it comes to caring for pets.

About: I’ve taken care of animals as small as rats and fish ranging to livestock since I was young! I have had all myself and they’ve all been spoiled and happy as long as I’m around. Your pets will be able to tell I’m an animal person and you’ll be relived to go away as your pets will be in great hands! I’m currently working part time at horse stables and still have plenty of time to go spend time home to care for my fur babies and my bigger outside babies lol. My life is technically revolves around my pets care and my part time job is taking care of huge animals that need extra attention, and before this I worked on a diary farm taking care of even bigger animals. at home I make do , I have a huge yard out in the country, I can use the electric collar if needed, leash, or off leash with recall as I do have a horse on the property and another dog and outside cats who they may chase. Any clients home I do the job I came to do and then I do anything extra to make the client feel as if I didn’t just do my job and actually enjoyed and felt comfortable with their pet taking a picture video giving treats extra pets and cuddles etc…

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have helped take care of our family dogs since I was a little kid. I’ve also helped care for a few friends’ dogs, so I’m comfortable with dogs of different personalities and needs. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. I work full time at chick fil a 5 days a week. I usually work mornings 4 days a week and I always do some type of activity with my dog before I leave as well as feeding and letting him out. After I am always down to having fun with the pups! I have a fenced in backyard with one very playful, sweet pup who wants to be friends with every animal he meets! He’s very energetic so we are always going to the nearest park (which is basically right behind my house) or on a walk or playing in the yard! I also love to take the pups on a joy ride to get treats or just get some breeze!

FAQs for House Sitting - Fults

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 972 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Fults. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fults walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fults maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fults choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fults. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
